    Adult bed bug under comforter
    Caitlin L.

Only needed to stay for the night for work, so I was not hard stuck on amenities or extra fluff, just needed a room. While the location is in a convenient spot close to the main road through town, the stay was overall disappointing. I woke up on the morning of my departure and noticed bed bugs under the comforter. I looked around more and saw some of the bed bugs were under my pillow too. Now I have to debug all of my gear and clothes. Plus the walls were incredibly thin I could practically hear the person on the other side lightly snoring or hear them watching TV.

Absolutely awful discusting rooms and service was normal but don't go here unless you only want to rest your head for a night it is quiet and nothing stands out other than the bed stains and dirty ass drawers and the broken window

This place is a blast from the past, and worth the money. Our king room was $90, which was $100 LESS than Holiday Inn Express! Very worth the savings. As soon as we walked in, we could tell the room was very clean. Comfortable bed, AC worked just fine, and quick/easy check-in and check-out. Perfect for a stopover on a road trip. Yes, the shower heads are a bit wonky, but it worked. Soon after we checked in, their No Vacancy sign lit up, so people are figuring out that you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for a decent night's sleep. Glad we took the "risk" of staying in a vintage place. If we're ever back through Winnemucca, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Very small shower.

Older motel and moss deff not fancy but still comfy. Parking is limited but convenient if you can get a spot near your room. Location is very convenient as it is walking distance to food. Check in was fast and easy. We did have an issue with our toilet being plugged and when my sister called to ask for assistance the lady in the front office said "well come and get the plunger" ok! No biggie, we are all adults and can unplug our own toilet but geeez. Shower is super small! Was a bit hard to find help at the front desk when we were contacting them about a medical device that was suppose to be waiting in the office. Also, we stayed at a nicer hotel on our way back through Winnemucca that almost for the same price as this motel offered breakfast. One last thing worth mentioning is you can not keep your door open as the lights right outside the door attract every weird bug in town. We had bugs in our bed when we went to sleep.

This is a small Mom &Pop place. The price was reasonable and the rooms are decent. Another chair would be nice around the table.

A one-story old-school motel, yet very clean. Friendly Staff. Nightly rate was very reasonable.

Worth Every Mile If…read moreyou're traveling through Winnemucca and don't stop at the Martin Hotel, you're missing one of the true gems of northern Nevada. This isn't fancy, pretentious dining. It's honest, family-style comfort food done exceptionally well, and you can feel the history the moment you walk through the door. The portions are enormous. My partner ordered a steak sandwich and honestly thought they had accidentally brought him two sandwiches because it was that big. Trust me--you are not leaving hungry. Now for my favorite part... I decided to be adventurous and ordered the sweetbreads. I'll admit it--I had absolutely no idea what sweetbreads were. I figured maybe it was some kind of bread with gravy. Nope. Turns out I had ordered a classic delicacy made from organ meat. My partner looked it up while I was halfway through eating it and told me exactly what I was eating. Did I stop? Absolutely not. It was damn good, and I'll wear that experience like a badge of honor from now on. Sometimes the best meals happen when you step outside your comfort zone. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly, the flavors were outstanding, and the family-style meal made the experience even better. The service was warm, welcoming, and exactly what you'd hope to find in a historic restaurant that's been serving travelers for generations. The Martin Hotel isn't just another place to eat. It's an experience. It's history. It's Nevada. And I can honestly say I'll be looking forward to my next trip through Winnemucca just so I have another excuse to eat here. Highly recommended. Five stars.

The service was good and all the employees were friendly. Dinner is served family style with your party along with other parties who are seated at your table. At first I was skeptical of this, but we actually had some really good conversations with two other couples at our table. You receive complimentary starters that will be passed from one end of the table to the other. The complimentary dishes were all really good and filling. We all ordered their dinner special which was a New York strip with mushrooms and garlic. We requested extra garlic, but the garlic was pretty much raw (should have been sautéed). The New York had way too much fat which was disappointing because it was only a 10 oz. I didn't try their bread pudding because I was so stuffed with all the sides I ate, but those at our table mentioned it was delicious. The complimentary glass of wine was a nice touch to start the evening. I ordered myself a Picon drink (I believe this is their signature drink) and it was really refreshing. Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try. I will definitely be a returning customer whenever I am either visiting or passing through Winnemuccca.

The mirrors were dirty, there were stains splattered on the walls, and the tile floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned. The entire room smelled unpleasant and gave the impression that housekeeping either rushed through it or skipped it altogether. What made the experience even more concerning was what happened to my friend. It took the front desk three different room assignments before he finally got a usable room because the first two rooms they gave him were already occupied by other guests. How does something like that happen? Thankfully, no one was changing clothes or in a compromising situation when he opened those doors, but that's a major privacy and safety issue that should never happen. The staff was unfriendly and showed very little concern about the problems. Even the small things were disappointing--the snack area wasn't even properly stocked, which seems like one of the easiest parts of running a hotel. Overall, this stay was far below the standards I expect from a Fairfield Inn by Marriott. Between the filthy room, poor customer service, and the serious room assignment mistake, I left extremely disappointed. I sincerely hope management reaches out and offers some form of refund or compensation because this experience was unacceptable.

We called to check on room availability and immediately recognized that it was Luis.
