I do not recommend it!!!! 2 months with my moving lights I have called him and he does not answer calls or voice messages ... and he refused to return all my equipment!!! It is a real waste of time I do not recommend it and very bad customer service he should retire from this profession .. and I hope my equipment is complete because I am going to file a lawsuit against him. I took one of my Mesa Boogie Amps for repair not knowing any reputable repair place in the area since moving here from SoCal. The idea of sending it to Mesa Boogie for repair on the west coast was not ideal with shipping cost etc, Calling Mesa they recommended High Energy for the repair. I was blown away with the service and I highly recommend them. They called me to let me know the problem etc . The only down side was the wait, but I can understand that, because they get it right the first time !!!! read more

Sadly, I brought a car subwoofer in to be re-coned. What they did wrong: 1. Completely mis-quoted the price (as in more than TRIPLE) 2. Did NOT "get to it" when promised. 3. Took "forever" to get it back to me...as in 4 or 5 weeks. Along the way, they kept making promises on when things would be done, as well as promises to call me back, etc. And after getting it back, it seems like it is not properly re-coned (there is some distortion). This place needs a review. One of those "authorized" repair places that clubs and djs take speakers, amps, cd & dvd players, etc to get fixed. It's in a typical business/industrial park just north of Drew St. I take my Pioneer DVJ dvd decks there for yearly cleaning and check ups and have always been VERY happy with the service. Like a good mechanic if it's something simple I've had gear fixed and returned at no charge even for labor. The staff is very friendly and turn around has been quick (2-3 biz days) but I've never had to rush an order or wait long for ordered parts. read more

After my PA system mysteriously didn't work at a gig, I assumed it had gotten wet. I was advised to let it dry for a few days and try again. I did and it still didn't work. I was contemplating a big bill for another system and not looking forward to it. I was advised by the manufacturer that High Energy was an authorized repair shop, so I took it over. The owner there took the time to show me that there actually was nothing wrong with my equipment after all. In my haste to set it up (arrived 10 min before show time due to traffic) I'd missed a critical step which caused the system to malfunction. Appreciated him taking the time to point that out and also he gave me a few more suggestions on how to get optimum performance from the system. In march last year I purchased a brand new TC Electronics Flashback X4 delay pedal to replace my old crappy Visual Sound H2O. As luck would have it, right out of the box there was a rather horrible issue where the delay was unable to maintain tempos and it would completely lock up. Because of massive amounts of work where I needed it and the issue could be managed by reaching down and resetting it, I put off fixing it. Finally it got so bad that there was no choice. I sent it To High Energy Repair for a warranty repair. I'll admit I was worried because of the reviews here what to expect. From my own personal experience they did good. I sent it off on the 3rd of March with a note and receipt. It came back today, March 23rd and after running it for a few hours, all seems to be in perfect working order. It is also wise to mention that I had included in the note that I would be out of town on Vacation and to please delay my repair a few days so that the pedal did not return while I was out of town. Needless to say I can't say I have any complaints. Every time I called to check up on it they were kind. I wouldn't be afraid to send the pedal off again in the future after this experience. P.S. If you have a Flashback X4 with this issue it was a defective or damaged Main Board. They replaced the entire board. read more

Upon contacting an Electro Voice representative, we were given two repair dealers in the Gulf Coast FL area...we chose the wrong dealer! Immediately after greeting the counter person, I realized he was a cocky SOB! He made negative comments to us without any knowledge of the situation! He asked for our sales receipt typed up the repair order and told us we would be contacted. Well, over 10 days had passed and we had not heard from them. So I called to learned that SOB was even more cocky than ever and was told if we did not let them do the repair, there would be a $50 charge. I told him we were not told this and that there were no signs stating this. HE SAID IT'S ON THE RECEIPT. WHEN I TOLD HIM WE DID NOT RECEIVE A RECEIPT HE SAID THEY DO NOT GIVE OUT RECEIPTS!!! SO I ASKED HIM HOW WERE WE TO KNOW THIS? MR. SOB BECAME MORE COCKIER AND SAID IF WE DO NOT PICK UP SOON HE WAS GOING TO CHARGE US A STORAGE FEE. WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY CALLS FROM THEM!!! read more

I took a Bose PS 1 to High Energy for repair, at the same time, I also took an FX8 for repair. It took a while for them to call about my Fx8. I had a backup for it , so it was not a big deal. High Energy has a 30 day warranty on repairs. After 37 days my Fx8 was doing the same thing it did before I brought it in. Channel One was cutting in and out. The next thing was the Bose covers for my Radiators the zippers were damaged. I called, and of course, they didn't do it. I have never written a review before on anything. But, I baby my equipment, and they were in new condition when I brought them in. I don't know what happened, but, I will not be back for any repair work. Make sure when you take something to them for repair, take lots of pictures. CYA read more

Horrible service. Sent my TC Electronic Finalizer Express to them in late April. Today, July 25th, I finally got in touch with somebody after leaving many emails and voicemail messages. Rude, hateful and non-responsive is the best way to describe their customer service by Morgan, the woman working the phones. I hope the unit is repaired when I get it back because I've spent over $250 with them to fix this piece (replacing power supply). I'm also hoping the unit arrives back in the factory original box and packing, which is how I sent it (overboxed). We'll see. I'm crafting a letter to TC Electronic with all the details. Pursue other options to have your gear repaired. You'll be glad you avoided this company. I wish I had. read more
