Wayne is a miracle worker or just a plain magician!. Nine years ago I bought a tabletop jukebox which was a cassette player. I paid $5 because the cassette portion didn't work. I bought it for the aesthetic value for my son's bar. About a month ago, I got the idea to see if I could have it repaired. Searched the Internet and found Wayne. I called as he is about 8 miles away. I explained the issue and he would try to fix it for the benchwork price. About 2 weeks later, he called and he has fixed it!!! As I don't drive, am 73 and use a walker, a friend drove me back to pick it up. As my friend was putting it in the car, he said that Wayne has also removed static from the AM and FM radio stations. WHAT RADIO STATIONS?? Apparently, the small door on the front of the unit opened to reveal the radio controls. I felt very stupid but blessed to now have AM, FM and cassette capabilities for $5 and the benchwork cost. Wayne is the finest repairman I have ever worked with! I had a stereo that we thought went bad.. didn't know if to throw it away and by a new one, or try to have it repaired. I didn't want to take it to Best Buy to sit for weeks, so I looked for a local, small electronics repair shop. I found Irion's TV Repair shop in Clearwater. I called and the owner - Wayne - said bring it over. Took it to him Saturday at 12:00 and mentioned we were sad not to have it (Surround Sound Theater Amplifier) for the Super Bowl on Sunday. We were very surpirsed when our relatively new tv or so we thought just stopped getting a picture, but I researched on line for tv repairs, not having a clue as if they still existed, we figured we'd try that before simply going out to buy a new one. Iron's Tv had great reviews so that's the only one we called to schedule a time to bring the tv in.. This was our first visit to Irions Tv & Electric repair. We had in our possession 2 antique transistor radios made by Emerson. They were part of the family for 50 years and I did not want to throw them away. Called Wayne, and informed him with our repair problem, and he assured us that he would give it a shot. I bought a Sansui Model 500 Tube Receiver (built about 1963) from a friend in Minnesota. I didn't know the history of the unit, but it hadn't been turned on in 10 plus years. Restoring this unit would take some time and effort. Based on the reviews and comments it seemed like Wayne was the one that would make it work again. I had a 40" Westinghouse brand LCD TV that wouldn't come on; I took it here, he called in an hour and found the problem. It was a difficult-to-find part and as a result he couldn't get it fixed before we left for the summer.
