I called for a cab and they said one was on the way over. They later called back and said they couldn't find my address. Ok, no problem, let's figure out what the miscommunication was. Except the dispatcher was extremely rude and inferred I was either a liar or an idiot, and the cab never arrived. Uber can find the address with no problem; no wonder cabs are going out of business. I used High Mountain Taxi in July from Eagle Vail Airport to Hotel Talisa and later in the week from Hotel Talisa back to Eagle Vail Airport. After reaching each destination both drivers informed me that their credit card machine didn't work and each had to hand write receipts. Both assured me prior to leaving that I could use a credit card and after the card machines didn't work, I would be charged correctly. Well as I suspected, I checked my card statement and wasn't surprised to find that I was double charged the same amount on different days. I called to report the issue to High Mountain and was told the manager would contact me. As I expected, I wasn't contacted. These people are common thieves and know exactly what they are doing. Best taxi service in Vail! I was out on New Year's Eve in Vail Village with my friends and we were trying to get a ride home. Uber's prices were ridiculous and I am pretty sure it was impossible to even get one. HMT answered right away and sent someone in a reasonable time for a reasonable price. Worst taxi company ever. This company is the reason Uber should move to the mountains. 20-30 minute wait times no matter what time of day. Completely unreliable too. We needed to go from the Landmark in Vail to the Eagle Vail airport. I called to make the reservation the day before and the next morning the driver appeared in a new Dodge Caravan ready to take us. He was early and very friendly. He packed our bags in the back of the van and we were on our way. The driver was very courteous but not intrusive. The van was very comfortable from the inside temperature to the seats. Once we arrived at the airport the driver took out our bags and carefully placed them on the sidewalk. The fare was very reasonable even with the tip. It was the most economical and comfortable way to get to the airport. read more

My husband and I flew into Eagle on an extremely delayed flight. We didn't have an transportation lined up and it was such a relief to see the high mountain taxi desk right by baggage claim. They were super quick and easy and in 2 minutes after getting our bags we were in a mini van. Our driver Nash was so great!! He was a breath of fresh air after the long day of travel. He took us by the store on the way to our rental, gave us some great recommendations for restaurants, things to do, and more. I would highly recommend Nash and High Mountain Taxi! read more

booked a taxi from airport online - with confirmation no. - and when arrived was told that they do not take reservations? Then why does their website allow you to make reservations? Many people were waiting late at night as there were so few cabs, but the driver said that the company does NOT want him to allow shared rides. With all of those people waiting, that's crazy. read more

First ride was great - the driver showed up on time and was super friendly. Second time we called for the taxi and got a text that cab 63 would pick us up. The cab drove by and when we finally got the driver's attention and told him that he was our ride he got defensive and told us to go away because he had already picked up someone else. We ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes for another driver at that point. Very disappointed by the service! read more

High Mountain Taxi more often than not will put you on long wait holds typically about 20 minutes more or less. I've been on hold for 30 minutes and when finally connected with an operator and asked if they are particularly busy at this time, in which I was answered with a "No." I would not reccommend using High Mountain, but often get stuck calling them since they are one of the only taxi services in the Vail Valley. Heed of warning to any future customers of theirs. read more

This company was absolutely awful. They are overpriced, rude, and have even swore at me during a ride. We had arranged transportation for our guests, whose flight had end up being pushed back. We called multiple times to make sure that our guests would have a ride at 745, but when they arrived at the airport there was no reservation. I called to speak with the company, who then accused me of arranging transportation with the wrong company, and that I had not called in to change the reservation....Great. I called back to speak with a manger who basically told me that there was nothing that he could do, other than have another taxi out in 45 minutes. 45 minutes!! This is after having the flight delayed 8 hrs. The company offered no sort of resolution for our mishap. The people that work here are rude, not helpful, and I would not recommend this company to ANYONE looking for transportation in the Vail Valley. Stay. Away. read more

Got a taxi today from the Ritz in Bachelor's Gulch to Avon and the dispatcher told us it was going to be 15-20 min. Dispatcher was on time and he actually came and got us extremely nice and answered all of our questions. Gave us some advice on what there was to do in around the Vail area.
