Super friendly and pretty fast service. I went in and there was a huge group of people that ordered before me, I still got my food in like 15 minutes. The store is a bit smaller, so on a rainy day, the inside can feel a bit cramped. Nice weather means you can take advantage of the little patio space they have. I tried a womlettewich (waffle omelette sandwich) which was delicious. You can absolutely customize every bit of it, and that's what I did - croissant bread instead of white or sourdough, turkey, pepperjack cheese, and I added spinach too! The drinks menu is just as extensive, but I ended up trying the Peeps latte that was on special. It was toasted marshmallow syrup with lavender whip, but I didn't want it too sugary, so I ordered it half sweet. Street parking can be a bit hard, but since it's so close to Woodland, you might have some good luck! read more

This little coffee shop is so cute! They have a wide variety of beverages, hot, and iced, as well as a cooler of bottled drinks. Their food menu has something for everyone and I especially enjoy the breakfast sandwiches. Everyone is so friendly. It's a cute, cozy spot with outdoor seating available. They have a loyalty punchcard for both sandwiches and drinks. Prices are super reasonable: my medium black coffee, and egg sandwich was under $10 with a 20% tip. The atmosphere here can be described as cozy, vibrant and friendly. It is pretty much a sandwich shop that has a large selection of coffee and smoothie drinks. There are also various art items and paintings for sale. The cashier taking my order was great! All the other staff had bright smiles even as they bustled about serving customers their orders. For a place that seemed pretty busy, my order was completed fast! I got the Avo-Gobble on sour dough bread adding spinach, Swiss cheese and a little mayo. They really stack the turkey and avocado which I thought was great. You just know something is good when you grab the sandwich bag and it feels heavy. You know they didn't skimp on any ingredients. . I love this quirky artsy little spot! They have a full food menu to complement the coffee menu and I was happy to see they also have ice cream. I enjoy their cute little garden area too, and the walk-up window is a very nice option. What really stood out to me is the homemade whipped cream that they make in house. I am so upset with myself...because I have lived in Lexington for 5 years, and this weekend was my first time visiting this spot, and it was amazing!! They have a large enough but not overwhelming menu, and if you don't see something you want from their staples (I find this to be impossible as everything looks SO good). You can build your own breakfast or lunch sandwich. The atmosphere and layout really captures Lexington's unique and quaint charm. You walk up to the window and order and are able to sit down and enjoy your food outside surrounded by a well protected adorable garden. The food itself was fabulous, the bagels were perfectly cooked, they added so much egg, tomato, and cream cheese! Don't even get me started on the coffee either... it was incredible, and cost less compared to chain coffee shops!! (Shop small!!) I can't say enough great things about this place. It really took me by surprise. Come, shop and stop for breakfast or lunch at this perfect section of town. Then, my brother recommended the Womlette. Having never heard of a such a creation, I am glad I trusted him. It's an omelette made in a waffle iron. I added sausage, cheese and avocado and asked for It on a croissant. Chef's kiss amazing. Next time I would ask for hot sauce though, because Eggs and hot sauce just belong together. A tiny four table place. Lots of charm, it would have fit right into the Haight Ashbury in its day. I had cappuccino and toast. They serve breakfast, lunch, and a little ice cream and snacks. The people working there are as nice as can be. They have a shop full of crafts and art items next door. It sits in a cool little old house. Only issues are size, and parking. The place limits down who can hang there to eight chairs. Not bad if you have one of the four tops, but you'll be moving on, especially on a cold day, if you don't. Parking can be a bit tricky. If you don't mind a bit of a walk, though, it's a fun place to hang and get a bite and a sip! read more

The store is super cute and the Two people working there were really friendly. They were extremely patient while we decided what we were getting . Love love LOVE this place! Not sure what took us so long to get here but we made it. Spent the day in Lex- just moseying around and the time had come for the mid afternoon pick me up. You know when the afternoon hits and you still have some things you want to do but coffee or tea is ringing all the bells for you. Well that's where I was at, the hubs was still hoping we'd detour home but was also glad we stopped in. It's definitely a coffee lovers dream with the options- there's more than enough but not an overwhelming oh my goodness what do I get type feel. They serve a variety of tea, Italian sodas, pastries, sandwiches, desserts etc- I only wish I came hungry too! They have over 190 artists featured (a majority if not all local). So many great works- a lot of pieces are simply mesmerizing. The ambience is cozy and intimate but light and we loved it. For someone who's always on her phone (yep that's me) we chilled out a bit and were able to speak with the owners and just be- so many coffee shops are hustle, bustle, in and out and it was great to just sit and unwind a bit. We're most definitely looking forward to coming back for lunch one day soon. read more

Amazing local coffee shop with a HUGE menu of options! The owner's are lovely - mom, dad, and daughter run the shop. Ellie aka "Grandma" takes orders at the window and is very kind and patient. The art shop (located inside) is not open due to Covid. I am definitely returning, as my waffle-bagel was PHENOMENAL. They cook in a waffle iron because of their small kitchen space, and the flavors in my omelette were so good. You can park at a meter on East High, or in their small gravel lot. They have a cute back patio area that is not yet open, but will be soon as the weather improves. I'm excited to return and continue supporting this wonderful local shop. read more

I stopped in High on Art & Coffee on this beautiful April Saturday and had some great small talk, along with a delicious smoothie! The fresh baked goods looked very tempting in their glass case, as with all the ice cream flavors; but I went with a blueberry-strawberry smoothie with greek yogurt and almond milk. (Kind of wish I got a muffin to-go). For the smoothies there are a ton of fruit options to choose from, as well as peanut butter, avocado, and chocolate. Their menu also features lunch items as well- sandwiches and sides all reasonably priced. The people who run HonA&C are very welcoming and likeable, and the smoothie was delicious. I love this place! It's connected to an art store that sells jewelry, trinkets, and gifts. The cafe section sells coffees, sandwiches, shakes, smoothies, and salads. Food/drink: Got a standard house coffee (pretty good but I'm not a coffee connoisseur so I really can't expand lol) and a build your own sandwich. Their highest priced food items are $7, and their lowest priced food items are ~$2. CHEAP. My sandwich was lovely *chef's kiss* Space: the dining area in the cafe is a little cramped, there are 4 small tables set up and a patio off to the side. The walls are covered with works from local artists. Parking: Street parking, 50¢ per hour. If you're short on change, they have some spare change! Service/staff: They are the sweetest people in our entire solar system. I sat here for half an hour and they were familiar with everyone that walked in. 10/10, give them a visit! I really like this place! The couple who runs it is so friendly, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food is excellent, and in many ways it felt like I was at my grandmother's house (who is no longer around). I felt emotional just sitting there eating, drinking, and writing because of how much like "home" it felt. It's a little cramped inside for the cafe area, but since I was one of 2 parties that ate there, it didn't really affect me. I also appreciate that all their tips go ya charity.
