One of the guys on shift was quick to tell us all about their menu and other location as well as gave us samples of their cream cheese. I just loved how he was so quick to jump in and tell us everything we needed to know while the others took our order and made the drinks. So efficient and a great way to showcase the menu! Inside was cozy and a great spot to set up to work. They had plenty of outlets near tables to plug in your laptop. Convenient location! Also have to note the matcha is not pre-sweetened which I prefer. I don't like syrups or sweetener in my matcha and too often coffee shops will use a pre sweetened drink mix. We stopped at the new location in Cheapside Park . My friend got a regular coffee and I got an iced oatmeal banana pancake latte. Which was really good by the way and my friend said her coffee was really good as well. They have a variety of snacks as well as bagels that are flown in from Queens, NY(which is where I'm born and raised). I did ask the girl at the counter and she told me she thought they were from Queens. She did confirm with someone named Nate. This is where it kind of goes sideways for me he was very dismissive about it when I told him I was born and raised in Queens. Both girls at the counter on the other hand were super friendly and helpful. Would I go back again? I would because I'm all for supporting small businesses especially when their coffee is that good. I got to try this place on a Thursday night live I'm glad they stay open later in the evening to give people a chance to check them out. I ended up ordering the Matcha with oat milk and strawberry syrup. Total cost was about $8.50 before tip. Ordered the fig it about it and wish I would have bought some spicy fig spread to take home - so good! I think we came on a training day, because only one person knew questions to anything. I ordered a cold brew with banana cold foam and the barista made several remarks about making cold brew that told me they don't know much about coffee. It was a bit watery. I always enjoy coming here so much, because it's got a great laid-back vibe, but with great food and great customer service. They have lots of delicious options of bagels and spreads to go on them, and it's often hard for me to decide which I'm in the mood for. Coffee and matcha drinks are also great. Sure am glad this gem isn't far from me! Oh, and the have a nice rewards program where you can get a generous discount a certain amount of purchases. I was absolutely floored with how well run Grounded All Day Cafe is. They ask you if you have eaten there before and if you haven't they give you a full run down of where the bagels are sourced - spoiler they fly them in from New York, and they make their own cream cheeses. The staff lets you try any and all the homemade cream cheeses you want. They were all so unique and delicious. They have seating and parking which is a plus. The atmosphere is very cute overall. They have seating in the back if you opt to bring your laptop and study or work it is secluded enough around in the back to do that. The coffee was wonderful as well. We tried some sort of smores latte along with their breeze iced tea. Overall great experience and I've already been back twice since going my first time last week! This place was an unexpected surprise on our recent visit to Lexington KY to have breakfast bagels. Once the staff realized we were not local, they gave us samples of all of their cream cheese spreads - IIRC, there were 8, all well done. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with the menu and we needed up going back the next morning before we left Lexington for VA. My wife has a picky palette when it comes to coffee and she loved her Lattes. They have an outdoor area as well so it's also very family friendly. They had my bagel ready and even if I had got there a few mines late they added the ice and cold form to my drink when I got there they explained that they want me to get the drink to the freshest standards! Happened past Grounded All Day Cafe and decided to stop in for a morning drink. They make all of their syrups in house as well as the cream cheeses. They also order all bagels in from New York! Emma helped us at the counter, was very nice and offered us samples of the Bacon Pepper Jam and Blackberry Lavender cream cheese. Both great! This trip we ordered drinks only: lavender latte and chai tea latte. It took a bit for drinks to be turned around. Once we got them, the lavender latte tasted like a darker roast and not much of a lavender taste. The chai tea latte was on the sweeter side. This business seems newer to the area and working out some kinks but has a promising future ahead of them! read more

Grounded is a fantastic cafe staple in town! I was visiting and was shown this place by the people we were staying with. It's one of their favorites for craft coffees and their bagel sandwiches. It has the feeling of a small, local shop with the modern feel of a coffee shop you want to sit at all day to get your work done. Everyone was very welcoming and explained the menu to me. My mom found this place on Yelp the other day looking for dog friendly places. So we decided to take the pup and kids (4and 6) for lunch today. The bagel sandwiches were absolutely delicious! Such unique flavors! The coffee drinks were also really great. We both had the Carmel rapper cold brew and I had the everything bagel with kicking chicken and its fig jam per the barista recommendation. I loved it! The whole place was really fun and clean and we loved the whole vibe. Everyone we encountered was super nice and helpful with menu. We also met the owner who helped us get our order to the table. My son is in a wheelchair and we struggled a bit to get to the back (no ramp) but we eventually got everything back there. We will definitely be back! read more

His was our first time trying this bagel coffee cafe. I want to say how much we enjoyed the food and coffee. Our bill for 2 sandwiches and 2 small coffees with a tip and 3% credit card fee was $45.00.Very very pricey for what we got. I really have a problem with places that charge a C/C 3% processing fee. I know we have all paid these fees which is legal but the businesses are able to claim these fee's on their taxes as a business expense which lower their overall tax liability in the end. I will remember the credit card fee and my $45.00 bill more than I will remember the food unfortunately. If you do got take CASH! read more
