I wish I could give zero stars. Plumber was sent out to fix two toilets. Did not fix either toilet properly. One toilet is still not flushing properly. Claims the other toilet has a foreign object in it because he couldn't get his auger through, however I was able to get my auger through, the toilet just didn't clear. Warranty company denied claim. I called to ask technician to remove the words "foreign object" as there is no evidence of what exactly is blocking the toilet. Very simple fix. He refused. Got $100 for 10 minutes of doing nothing. read more

If 0 was an option, I'd give it. I should have obviously read these reviews before retaining this company. AHS refers this company and I've alerted them as well. Even if you need an emergency repair, just request another company as this one will likely result in regrets. I allowed these people into my home for an emergency water heater repair and thought I wanted a master plumber, but was assigned a technician. Initially I believed the assigned plumber was kind so he gained my trust. I should have known better. We made multiple mistakes that would be fine with honest brokers, but not so good when dealing with dishonest people. First, my husband and I work from home so we each dealt with them at different times during the appt while the other was in meetings. In doing so, we later learned there were some things they told me they had walked through in detail with my husband but I later learned they had not talked through those items with my husband. Second, they ask you to sign agreements by handing you their phones where you can't really read the documents. That's my mistake. Even though we needed the water heater repaired quickly I should have required them to email the document. Learn from my trusting mistake. These people were dishonest and now we are paying for it. They essentially changed the installation method/location and did not place our water heater back on the stand. They never spoke with us about this in advance. When my husband inspected the work, the tech lied and said it was a code issue. He then backtracked and said they had heard stands sometimes break. It's a moot point. If you are going to change something like that in my home, we should talk about it. I don't trust they will do what is right as this seems to be the way the company operates. In addition, the dispatch operators have the worst demeanor of any I've dealt with. Curt, rude and condescending. They never approached us with a customer service attitude. I had 2 simple leaks and plumber said he had no access to main shut off valve that is in the open back yard that anyone can get too. Charged $125 service fee for nothing. The tech that was sent out to my house was knowledgeable and did not give up until the issue was resolved. But unfortunately, he caused more damage while trying to fix the problem. In the notes for my service, he stated that I had preexisting damage from the issue they were contacted about. Yet, what was already there when he arrived happened in 2019. I have a crack in my master bathroom tub from 2019 that caused damage in the right corner of the ceiling in my laundry room, that had NOTHING to do with the reason American Home Shield contacted High Priority Plumbing. I had a clog in my master bathroom that I had personally tried to plunge and get unstuck before even contacting them. The tech tried for a while and was unsuccessful, so he requested to pull the toilet and use the auger directly into the plumbing to try and break up the clog. Attaching pictures and video to show proof. In the video you can hear him very aggressively banging in the bathroom above my laundry room. While he was doing this something happened and water began leaking through the light in my laundry room and immediately started creating a brown stain IN A DIFFERENT SPOT in the ceiling of my laundry room, that tripled in size. As soon as we noticed there was water coming through the light, I went upstairs to tell him that every time he would put more force behind the auger, more water would come through the ceiling. He refused to stop, until he was ready. When I was contacted for a follow-up I informed the receptionist that there were damages caused, and I requested contact with someone higher in the company to get this solved. Almost a MONTH later I receive a call from a man, who did not give his name but stated that he was the owner and there was "no one" above him. Ultimately, he told me they were not responsible for the damage the technician caused because I had preexisting damage! It is clearly two separate spots that have damage, and the coloration is different as well. He was extremely rude and was making nothing but excuses for what happened. The technician should have taken responsibility for what happened. I have four witnesses to this event, so I surely hope the company does what is in their best interest and fix this. read more

Don't use these guys. I had a sewer blockage and had a plumber come out who told me I needed a jetter but he didn't have one. I then contacted High Priority to come out and run a jetter. Instead of doing that, they blamed the city. I then had to waste my time and the city's time to come out and tell me it was on my side. When I called HP again for a follow-up, instead of giving me same day service like they did before, they gave me an appt 10 days out. HP clearly either a) did not want to fix the problem or b) were not capable of fixing the problem. I then called another plumber who came out and ran a jetter - problem solved. Despite all this, HP still had the nerve to try to bill me, something I will never, ever, pay. read more

AVOID - AVOID - AVOID Winner of the WORST contractor AWARD! High Priority Plumbing (HPP) is THE WORST kind of contractor....the kind that warranties their work but FAILS to correct, MISLEADS their customers so they can EVADE taking responsibility for their IMPROPER work. HPP guaranteed their work on my home for 5 years but it's WORTHLESS... they don't honor it. HPP and their subcontractor, Floodmasters strung me along misleading me that they were going to repair my home outside of their insurance. But then they always came up with excuses and ultimately blamed everything other than their incompetent work, cause of the damages so they could avoid paying. In order to save my home, I filed with my homeowners. After, my insurance sued HPP to recover $$$$ and it took 3 YEARS to get them / their insurance to pay! Unless you have a tenacious insurance company to take bad contractor to court, injured homeowners have to pay legal fees, beyond their property loss to sue egregious plumbers like HPP, which are not reimbursed even if you win in GA! In many settled cases, the plaintiffs are muzzled so the public doesn't know the real damages the contractors caused. So who knows really how many homes High Priority Plumbing messed up! Amazing abysmal HPP is still in business... AHS probably gives them most of their work. I still have a 5 digit$ loss (aka a car), that was outside of my insurance coverage. Beyond damages to my home and property loss, emotional trauma, risks to my health and potential loss of my biggest investment were very stressful! Whoever owns High Priority Plumbing, their mama didn't raise them right. Learn from my experience and help yourselves. I called High Priority Plumbing for service on my water heater. Although the gentlemen that came was extremely polite. He failed to remedy the problem. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The repair lasted 2 weeks. $800 for 2 weeks, I trusted them and they let me down big time. I called a reliable plumber that installed a new water heater and gave a honest assessment of the issue. Disappointed in the timeliness of services being provided by High Priority Plumbing. I reported a leak in my unit last week and here we are over a week later and I'm still waiting for someone to fix the issue. They said plumbing requests were backed up (oh the irony), misdiagnosed the lea the first time around, waited another few days for a 2nd contractor to come in, and this point I've spent hours and hours on the phone coordinating between my home insurance, High Priority, and my HOA to turn the building water off to resolve the leak. When they finally arrived, we couldn't do anything about it because proper parts weren't ordered.... Very disappointed. However, the plumber who came the second time around was timely, properly diagnosed the situation, communicated it to me, submitted a new work order, and has been attentive since evening assigned to my unit. I was referred to High Priority Plumbing by AHS. There service and quality of work has declined. Over the years I have had several repairs completed by this company however the most recent repair was different. Bradley the plumber was respectful, but seems overwhelmed in diagnosing and later completing the repair even when he bought another plumber to help him. Several issues were addressed; however one leak I mentioned from my tub he changed the drain, but didn't even test if it corrected the issue. And it did not, but after my experience I didn't request them to come back out because honestly I just wanted it over. I also felt pressured to go with Serclean a water mitigation company they apparently are some sort of referral service for. Even though I felt pressured I did not proceed with Serclean because of the negative reviews and BBB complaints. Too many people mentioning in the reviews the company threatened to put a lien on their property! I only take referrals from people I trust! read more

I had a plumbing issue at my house and had to call American Home Shield. Originally they dispatched bestway to me, but based on issues I had with my Columbus home I opted not to have bestway come to my home. I am so glad that I asked for another vendor because I receive High Priority Plumbing (HPP). I've encountered HPP in Columbus as well and always had wonderful experiences. Today was no different. From the very beginning Jennifer at the office kept me informed and offered excellent customer service. The technician, Jeff, came out explained everything that he was doing and also offered excellent customer service fixing my issue within a matter of minutes. We were assigned this one star plumber based on a request through AHS. We had a main pipe clogged. When the plumber arrived, he confirmed the line was clogged and that it wasn't covered under AHS. After showing him the contract that it was, he still claimed that he couldn't do the work because there was no cleanout or access point. After showing him the access point, he still wouldn't do the work without us signing a waiver if sewage spilled. The only way they would do the work is if we paid them $775 to remove the toilet and replace it. Lowes, which is high, only charges $318 to remove and replace a toilet. This company was clearly trying to take advantage of the homeowner. I removed the toilet myself, snaked the drain, and the problem is fixed. This company is a waste of time and money. read more

I had some residual issues which involved a leaking pipe in my basement leading from the sump pumps. Following damage to my house caused by a neighbor's fallen limb across the power line leading from the pole at the street to my house significant amount of damage was caused to the meter on the exterior of my house and an electrical surge when the transformer at the street exploded. A tiny fire occurred but quickly went out on its own. Georgia Power immediately came out and cut the line to my house and that was that. I didn't have power for well over a month during the hottest days of summer! The day after the power cut our area received torrential rain and my basement started to take on water. Without power the sump pumps could not function. Once power was restored over a month later, I was working out of town. I am certain they had a major work out. When my project ended and I returned home one of the pumps Appeared to be not functioning. I discovered after a few days the real problem was the force of all the water and all the gunk causing the large pipe to separate at the joint and leak int one area. Dustin promptly came out. Realigned the joints and only charged the base service fee. This company is honest and honorable. I have a gut feeling if I had called any other company there would have been more items and an invoice. I have used this company several times and they are consistent. I HIGHLY recommend. FYI i am in the demographic who constantly worries about finding reliable referrals. Single female. read more

Update as of 4-Jun-2019 Paulette and Caitlyn at HP both reached out to me today and confirmed that my email had been caught up in their archives. I've bumped up this review from a 1 star to 3 stars based on their customer service with a follow up on the issue. Caitlyn reviewed the service call and diagnosis, along side my response and has opened up a communication line with the technician to understand how he missed the root cause. Original Review: Unfortunately I had a bad experience with High Priority Plumbing. Old Republic Home Warranty assigned HP for a Service Call as my Kitchen Sinks / Dishwasher would not drain and the down pipe from the sink leaked into the cabinet. The technician diagnosed the issue as a result of the backgrade of the waste pipe and confirmed no blockage. As it was deemed an installation issue, ORHW would not cover the fix. HP quoted me $900-$1200 to replace the pipe as he said the 'bow' from the backgrade would continue to cause a problem. A local plumber came to review the issue for a second opinion, he tracked the issue to the point that the waste pipe joined the main waste line, he removed the join and the pipe was blocked thick with grout and tile washed down the sink from renovations (HP claimed no blockage). He removed the blockage and supported the waste pipe to remove the backgrade. He also identified that the pipe did not have a vent and included this as well as adding a seal at the downpipe from the sink (the reason I had a leak when the sink was holding water). The fix cost me $240. HP's diagnosis was incorrect and could have cost me a lot of money for a fix that did not resolve the root cause. HP also did not identify that the existing vent from an old system was not attached and did not identify that the down pipe from the sink was missing a seal resulting in the leak. I was holding off from a review as I was waiting for a response to an email I had sent to HP on the 20th May 2019, I didn't hear back. *see revised note above. read more

BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL OF THIS PLACE: My warranty company sent it to check the water heater, which stopped working during Fourth of July holiday. Five mins before the technician came over, I set the top and bottom thermometer to the max level (from about 135 to 150) to see if the water got warmer, but it did not. When the technician arrived, I told him about what I did and he agreed that the water temperature was not warm as I set the thermometer to the max. However, the technician put on the report that "the water heater stopped working because user used the water heater with the thermometer at the max" and then sent to my warranty company, AHS. Then it became a reason to deny the cover of replacement because the damage is caused by unusual wear. Again, the reason of the water heater not working is not because "the thermometer at the max"!!!!! When I dispute with High Priority, they kept asking me talk with warranty company who use High Priority's report to make decision. read more

First visit they came out and quickly said that there was no leak in pipes and that the washing machine was the one leaking. The technician was rude and condescending to our nanny because she didn't speak English. Making her feel bad due to the language barrier. Technician was quick to close the claim and moved on. When I called the technician he was extremely rude to me coming across as racist because the nanny couldn't speak English. I had to call over again and called them back in. This time they had to send a supervisor. Supervisor identifies the problem. It took two weeks my problem to get fixed. Leaving us without a working washer. I wouldn't recommend this company. It's a common problem with plumbing companies but there are better ones out there. read more

High priority sent out a nice young man to do the work, but I find out later that he has only been working there for a month. I've had my tank pumped twice and they took the time to find the tank and only dug in one spot. This particular company employee dug up my flowers and shrubs trying to locate my tank. I reached out to High Priority to see if they would replace my flowers and shrubs and they said no. Use this company at your own risk. I will start with I was referred to High Priority Plumbing through a home warranty AHS. Typically I absolutely dread having to call a plumber but decided to roll the dice and see what happens. I've tried so many of them through AHS all being horrible. I read the reviews on here and did not expect much difference. You can imagine my surprise when I had a great experience multiple times! Cj was such a refreshing surprise. He showed up at the beginning of the Window of time scheduled. Something that never happens for me with other contractors. My first repair was a pipe that a previous Plumber had stood me up over and had tried to charge me a lot to repair. Cj figured out a difficult situation that AHS covered completely and my tenant even liked him. The next week I had a different house acting up with low water pressure. Once again Cj rolls up at the beginning of the window of time given impressing me with his Plumbing skills. He is easy to get along with, and both of my tenants also liked him. Both repairs he made for me were difficult situations that he went above and beyond to get repaired for me. I can say I trust him.... what??? Can you believe that... I mean seriously a trust worthy dude who does not do that annoying thing a lot of Plumbers do by mansplaning well little lady water flows down sort of thing. High Priority Plumbing is my go-to plumber. I've been a customer for about 13 years. A slab leak was located outside the basement door. After receiving a few estimates to re-pipe the service line from the water meter to the main line inside the basement, I scheduled the repair with High Priority. On repair day, Jason and Corey arrived, accessed the leak, and made a plan for the repair. They were friendly, respectful, and informative. They told me that their goal was to resolve the leak with minimal damage to my home (i.e., no cut drywall, no drilling into the foundation). To accomplish this, they re-piped the service line underground through the crawl space and connected the new line to the water line inside the crawl space. Throughout the process, Jason and Corey kept me informed of any issues they encountered and their progress. When the repair was complete, they cleaned up, and Jason walked me through the fix.
