If I could give this shop 0 stars i would do it. I came in needing work done on my vehicle, The front desk guy i believe his name is diego was absolutely so rude. he priced ranged me for the wrong items and was just so disrespectful when i asked questions. I asked to speak with the shop owner and he told me that i couldn't and i needed to leave. I never ever would have expected this to happen. Please consider going somewhere else. They really need a new front desk person. Someone with better additude and someone who actually enjoys their job and not someone like diego. On the other hand the guy who did help me out and fixed the problem in my car his name is Jesus very lovely guy. always smiling. Didn't hesitate to answer my questions. if i were to come back to this place it'd be because of him. I admired how he left my car, He goes above and beyond to make customers satisfied. I brought my Honda Pilot in for a tune-up and tire switch from winter to summer. The 2 services came to $2200. When I picked up the car, the "check engine" light came on while driving. In the time since I owned the car, (purchased new in 2013), the engine light had never activated. I contacted the Shop and returned the following day. They hooked up a diagnostic and found an Idle Error - the engine was idling faster than expected. They took it for a test drive, didn't think anything was wrong and turned off the light. In the following week, the engine light came on and off several times. The car was not running well - high idle rpms and vacuum hesitation. I once again brought it back and spoke with the manager (Diego). He "googled" the issue and said it was probably a clogged idle valve or needed a computer reset. I had also googled the issue and found that the computer reset was required after a tune-up. The manager offered to put in a new idle valve, ($375.00) and "try" to reset the computer. The fact that he didn't seem to know what or how to correct the problem did not give me confidence. I declined his offer and took the vehicle to Phil Long for service. They immediately diagnosed the issue as a clogged carburetor and failure to reset the computer. They resolved the issues, ($400), and the car returned to running great. I thought this was the end of my experience with High Tone, but I was wrong. I purchased a set of new tires at Discount Tire today. The technician came out and asked if anyone had rotated or changed tires in the past few months. I replied that High Tone did the seasonal switch in June. He then informed me that there were 2 stripped Lugs and a broken post on the passenger Rear Wheel and that he could not mount that tire. He sent me to Grease Monky to have that repaired. After another $150, the tire was mounted and I was done. The entire experience at High Tone was terrible - Poor Customer Service, inept management and a general complacency for doing things properly. I will never return to High Tone and, if asked, will never recommend their business. No Stars read more

Stay away. Brought my car in to repair. They used it for 2 weeks. Over 200 miles, charged me for gas then said they couldn't find a problem. we picked it up, it still doesn't work. If you want your car used as a free rental and not fixed this is your place. no stars read more

Great service! Knowledgeable mechanics. Reasonable prices. Our 2014 Subaru with a rebuilt engine gave out on the way home from a ski day. We had AAA tow our car to High Tone because of the good work they have done for us in the past. They fit or job into their busy schedule - and made a quick repair. I've been going to this place for over 10 years. It has gone really downhill with the new ownership. They took all day to just look at my vehicle, even though I had an 8 am appointment. I called at 3pm to check on it, and Diego told me "they were going to get to it after lunch." ??? In addition, they gave me grief when I asked about wearing masks, as it was posted on the door that they were required, and no one was wearing one. read more

I have a Volvo 2012. Needed AC compressor replacement. He ordered the parts and when I got there he said they are not used to working on a Volvo. He said he does not have time nor would do anything else. He did do the above service but was unable to change rear wiper blades with a new wiper blades I provided. I changed the blades on my own. Essentially, rude, not helpful and definitely not reassuring that they care. read more

Simply put - these guys are great. If they can help you they will with excellent service and good prices. I got tires replaced a year ago and went in a few weeks back to get a slow leak fixed. Not only did they do so gratis, they also suggested to me I should get the tires rotated which they also did for free. And to top things off, I went in a few weeks earlier with a different request and they told me they weren't the best people to provide that particular service and suggested another place in the valley I should go. I brought my car here to get my winter tires installed and balanced. I called ahead of time and was told by David, the manager, that it would cost $85 for balancing and installation for tire sizes 18 and below and $99 for tire sizes 19 inches and above. Sounds like a steal right? Well not exactly I experienced the typical bait and switch. When I went to pay I was informed the price was $150! That was shocking compared to what I quoted. Their excuse was that it was because my tires were brand new. A little strange right? Especially considering in Aspen it's only $120. Furthermore they damaged my rim. If this wasn't enough as I was driving home and I began to pick up speed on i-82, my car began to shake violently. Right after this incident I went straight down to Aspen Tire and Detail where I should have gone in the first place. I was informed by the gentlemen there that my tires were not even properly balanced, hence the violent shaking! In addition they pointed out more dents and deep scratches on all my rims, on my new car which has less than 8,000 miles! Tim helped me out and is very personable, honest and friendly. Hard to find these qualities in employees of businesses these days.
