The styles are geared towards prom and pageant with a heavy inventory of bling style dresses. As another reviewer (Jacqueline F.) mentioned, if blinged out is your thing, this is your place. The dress style they cater is youth focused. I'm not saying this store is not for older folk but depending on style preferences, it may or may not be what you're into. Although my mom didn't find a winner, I will say the dresses are beautiful but I'd like to reemphasize with a disclaimer, they are prom and pageant focused. I can't seem to pinpoint their 2022 entry level pricing but on average, most of the tickets I saw tend to run in the mid $400s. I didn't see a dedicated parking lot. They're situated along busy Dempster and we found free street parking around the corner.

It's a beautiful warm and humid day in Chicago and the walk was good. The place is very quaint and small but well lit for shopping. It's a woman's boutique specializing in European clothing. The major designer is Solar and I have not heard of it, but designs are suited for a dressier woman. Thankfully that counts me in as I work in an office where jeans are not allowed and it's conservative so the weekends I can go casual. Back to the store the sizes are European and the lady at the counter (I am assuming is the owner) was very kind to tell me that 34 is usually x-small, 36 is small and 38 is medium. I'm usually a medium but some of her clothing allow for a 34 when I tried on a pair of white slacks. It had a great fit, but buying white is difficult because the material may be more revealing than you might like. Her clothes has many price points as she indicated and sales from the previous season is 20% off. Her summer selection drove me to walk in full of blight yellows, pink, and orange. Do stop in if you're in the neighborhood and support local small businesses!

Rodd & Gunn is a well established and venerable New Zealand company even though it was new to us. I am used to shopping for menswear on Oak Street in Chicago, but I think I have a new supplier in the rotation. My wife spotted a very nice jacket and Antonio immediately secured the correct size for us from the storeroom. It fit very well and I was very tempted to purchase it, but my wife made excuses as to why I shouldn't, so we left empty handed. It turns out that she had aspirations to sneak back and purchase it for my birthday next month! I felt badly ruining her surprise, but a few days later I mentioned ordering it and she decided to take a trip with me to the mall to pick it up. Susan (or Susie- I'm bad with names) helped my wife purchase it for me. Both Susan and Antonio treated us with courtesy, friendliness and helped us make our way around the store. I know I will be back as I noticed some very nice pullover sweaters at a very reasonable cost. I found the prices to be fair, the styles to be current and the quality highly satisfactory. I've been wearing the jacket for a few days and I am very satisfied.

We have purchased from here numerous times and would have left if I didn't have my cash points. We will no longer shop at this store. She was a cute college grad with lots of personality. She picked out a pretty goldish green which I would have never had the cahonies to try on my own. She did a great job and really tried to make my visit enjoyable. Very personable :) Next the owner did my pedicure. Sadly the infamous Bryan was out for the day. So I'll have to go back and check him out. The pedi room was seperate and intimate with 2 service chairs and a tv. I was the only one getting one so I had the room and tv remote to myself. I won't bore u with the details but I soaked for 15 min and she spent at least 10 minutes a piece buffing each heel. At least! My feet were a little tender when she was done, but it beats the nasty dreaded razor (which she told me is illegal in IL). Overall, I would definitely go back, especially if they weren't too busy. I was there for a couple hours but I felt like it was worth it because they had top of the line nail art, good prices, and they are black owned and operated which is really rare. Give them a shot!

She also threaded them after to clean them up, which I've never had done before but it was not painful at all. She said they don't take change, so if you need to pay with card you can but they have an extra dollar fee for using a card. I didn't mind it. I ended up loving my eyebrows more than the place I always go to, which is much further away. I will come back next time for sure! She did an amazing job.

Lash Lift !! First,…read moreI would like to point out that I love getting my brows threaded here. I have thin brows and only ask for cleanups. I get along very will with both of the workers here, very nice people. But I do have to write about an experience I had recently I booked an appointment for a lash lift for my brothers wedding here because I've had my lash lift done here once before. I assumed that the mom would do my lashes and my brows as she always does when I go. When I arrived I learn the daughter is taking care of me, and I had no problem with that for some reason. My appointment went well, I had some good conversation with the young lady and even connected on finding a dress for me to bring. Of course, when you get a lash lift you cannot wet them for 24 hours. I know this, and protected my lashes. I would also like to point out that lash lifts last 3 months as you read. Below I am attaching a photo of my lashes a couple hours later on day of lash lift. I immediately noticed how curled one spot of my lashes were compared to my other eye. The day after, I brushed my lashes with a clean lash brush and noticed they had a crunchy feel and were not separating. The wedding was 2 days after my appointment, I applied mascara as it has been over 24 hours I can wet them. Upon applying mascara I realized that my lashes were sticking together sideways making me look bald in one spot of my eye. No matter what I did it was just too curled to fix. Attaching a photo of my lashes with mascara on. My lashes looked crazy and there was nothing I could do about it. A couple days later I'm looking at my lashes, the roots feel kind of numbed and some lashes look like they're falling off, I use the lash brush and yup. A couple lashes fell out. Over the course of the past month I have had only a few lashes fall off, my eye has felt super irritated, my eye has gotten red af, and the extreme curl has not gone away. Attaching 1 photo of irritated eye. I have no idea if this is related but I honestly felt like I should include it just in case. Attaching 2 photos of how it looks now. I am not satisfied with the service I requested. I'm a big mascara girl and I've had lash lifts done before, it NEVER looked like this. I feel ugly when I do my makeup so I haven't been doing it and my mascaras are gonna get clumpy from sitting out for 3 months doing nothing. Getting a lash lift done here is a waste of money and I think it may also be unsafe??? Get your brows threaded here, the ladies here are cool, I love them. But in all honesty I'm personally never letting them touch my lashes again .
