I usually stray away from finding new places to get my eyebrows done because I'm scared they'll take too much off. I was at old orchard mall and wanted to get them done nearby before a trip, so I found this salon. It's in a small strip mall. I called ahead and asked how much an eyebrow wax is. She told me $10 cash only. I had $9 and some change. She did great with the waxing, it was quick and I don't have as much redness as I usually do which is amazing! She also threaded them after to clean them up, which I've never had done before but it was not painful at all. She said they don't take change, so if you need to pay with card you can but they have an extra dollar fee for using a card. I didn't mind it. I ended up loving my eyebrows more than the place I always go to, which is much further away. I will come back next time for sure! She did an amazing job. read more

Manya's Salon is located in Boulevard Plaza, and they offer threading and waxing services, as well as facials and henna. They do accept walk-ins, which was great - just note that they do get a steady flow of patrons, so the wait time may take 10+ minutes. We came here for threading services, but was surprised that 95% of the service was done using wax. I am not sure if there was a hearing or a communication issue, but I did call ahead to confirm as well as stated the specific request in person, so there shouldn't have been any confusion? I am thinking this pivot of the service was due to the pressure of attending to all the waiting customers, and since there was only one person on shift, everything was rushed through. The results were okay, but could have been a bit more cleaned up and more attentive. Due to the high reviews on this place, we thought it would have been exponentially better. I encountered a very unkind woman at this establishment. I arrived and waited at the counter for at least two minutes without anyone attending. When she finally came, she seemed extremely grumpy that I had entered. I inquired about her well-being, but she provided short and curt responses, prompting me to remain silent. I value a warm welcome when visiting a business, but unfortunately, I didn't receive one here. Additionally, I didn't notice the sign indicating the eyebrow service cost, and she was quite harsh about it. I felt guilty for paying $15 instead of the original $8, which was the service price. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment. She truly embodies the most inhumane behavior I've ever encountered. The vibe was extremely uncomfortable and felt like I was unwanted. When she did my eyebrows she didn't even wipe my brows for me and never applied any cooling solution like every other place I've been too. Such a bad experience. Just wrapped up my second waxing with Manya Salon, and seriously, all these reviews are true. I got my first wax ever here, and it was a Brazilian. She is FAST, incredibly nice, doesn't take appointments, and the pain totally doable bearable. Her prices are also more than reasonable. I didn't hardly break out, and it thinned out my Brazilian area big time! This second time, a long with a Brazilian, I also waxed my full legs and under arms, and then got my chin threaded. I found the Salon with these reviews, and so I hope someone finds her with this. Well...yesterday I was looking for a place to get my eyebrows waxed and I came across with Manya's Salon. And I ended up getting a full face, bikini and legs waxed ... And OMG! what can I say?!? She was definitely the best!! Really Professional and friendly. I feel like I was in and out really quick. Prices are very reasonable for the incredible job that she does. The place is clean and she was using gloves. Another thing as well. My skin is very sensitive and I tend to get a lot of acne and irritated skin with a lot of other products specially on my face, but with the wax, and the aloe Vera that she used on me, my face feels normal and I didn't got irritated skin at all. Excellent service. This was my first time going to Manya's for eyebrow threading and I was impressed. My eyebrows have never looked better! Upon arriving, Manya greeted me and let me know that there was a wait (about 15 min). I understood and decided to run a quick errand and come back. Manya was efficient and her ability to shape brows is astounding! In the past, it has been difficult for others to shape my brows but Manya did it with ease. She advised that I get an upper lip wax as well. I told her I never waxed my face before and she ensured that it would be quick and easy-- I didn't feel pressured to have it done but she convinced me and I'm glad that I did.
