Well this place blew me away. Great breakfast and coffee and so much better than the national brands. So good I came back for lunch and got a smoothie which again exceeded my expecations. If I lived here I would be in at least 3 or 4 times a week. This place gets highest recommendation. It just felt good to be here too. read more

Higher Grounds Coffee Shop is adding local color and Flavor to the otherwise uneventful desert landscape of the Permian Basin. Bottomless coffee is 5 Bucks and you get to pick your own cup! I chose the bowl they had up on the shelves and it was like no problem! Service and an inviting environment is what you will find here. The assorted pastries are an added bonus (personally the chocolate chip cookies are awesome)! Nothing like coffee and cookies for a good afternoon doing expense reports or just gaming at the open tales. Come check this place out! I'm from Dallas and these spots are few and far between. Local music and poetry happen here just call to see what they have going on. Definitely recommend for your dose of local color. Lastly, there are meeting rooms in the back as well as couches and tables. This place is business ready weather it's a meeting of friends or clients this place has you covered. We have traveled over 7550 miles so far on our vacation and this coffee shop / sandwich shop by far out weighs all we have tried. The food was so fresh, tasted great, and served so beautifully you hated to eat it. The coffee shop offers free WiFi and the walls are adorned with art from local artists known by the owner. Hands down my favorite coffee shop in town. Simple modern decor and fabulous coffee. They offer some menu options for breakfast and lunch. Also they support local first responders by offering special, which makes me love them all the more. Only thing I haven't cared for is every time I go there, there is a girl with long dark hair who works there who never says thank you, never looks at you, never smiles and never stops gossiping. Higher grounds is a coffe shop that tries to hard to be a starbucks but falls really short. The time it takes for them to produce your order is 5x the wait of their competitors, and the taste is not as great either. The only thing this place has is location its the only coffe shop in that area. read more

I had a "London Fog" tea latte and my Wife had a Chai latte. We ordered both with almond milk. AFTER my beverage had been made, we were informed that they were out of almond milk and could not make my wife's beverage as ordered. My wife is highly allergic to cow's milk and coconut milk and could then not get her tea at all. Unacceptable! read more
