I unfortunately broke my wrist recently (again) and decided to come back to Dr. Guidera (I have…read morebeen here for two surgeries and haven't had any issues until now). To say the least, that was a mistake. They left me with a $230 bill for a 15 minute visit, X-rays, and a splint that I could've bought at Walgreens for $10. Not to mention, I already had an identical splint on when I walked in. To be fair, I asked for the new splint hoping it'd be better than what I had. It was worse, and came with a price tag of over $100. Guidera and his PA told me the X-rays they JUST took weren't good enough and recommended that I get a CT scan done. He made a surprised/disgusted face when I sighed and looked down when he said I may need surgery. Sorry, I don't want to spend thousands more on my wrist if I don't absolutely have to... Anyways, after Guidera reviewed the CAT scan, his office informed me that I 'definitely' needed surgery and referred me to another hand surgeon since Guidera was unable to operate on anyone for 4 weeks due to his own surgery/injury. Well, that doctor said I did not need surgery and put me in a cast. Bottom line: Stay away from this office. They will nickle and dime you.

She got my CT scan approved immediately through my insurance and I felt like she was holding my hand getting me through it! My previous PC's office is SO bad. I can never talk to a nurse or doctor! When I had covid last year, I couldn't get an appointment and when I left a message that I needed an immediate response, it took them a week to get back to me!! I could have died before they called me back! I ended up in the ER because my throat swelled up so bad I could barely breathe and had completely lost my voice. Again, Dr. Shell came to the rescue. I know doctors aren't in the business just for the fun of it, they need to make money, too. But, she actually wants to help. I hope she never changes her attitude!! After being a patient for over 2 years I am changing my review to one star for different reasons…read more Every time I need assistance and called the office, it went straight to the answering machine, and they returned the calls the next business day or never. Also, I was being overcharged by this office. I was being charged a full consultation, $180 every 3 months, plus all the high priced cholesterol pills and other supplements she tries to sell after every consultation. I found out later that as returning patient, I should be paying 30 minutes instead to 1 full hour. Also, dr Paula Lima made a mistake on my blood work and I had to do the blood work twice! and I was charged twice! Her mistake was because she said that is not necessary to be fasting before a Testosterone Blood Draw, she draw the blood and my result was sky high altered over 4000 and she wanted to diminish my medication! I told her the exam was altered and I asked for a new blood exam, she finally agreed to redo the blood draw a second time. I fasted before the exam, and the results come back normal. She never apologized for her mistake, just asked the secretary to call me saying the results were normal. Also, I was being prescribed Oral Testosterone by dr Paula Lima. I found out by different doctors that Oral Testosterone is dangerous because it is processed by the liver, and this medication should not be prescribed orally. I felt that I was just a font of revenue for them.

Dr. Ronan was the third pulmonologist I sought care from and have never looked back. She's EXTREMELY smart, up-to-date on all current medical research, spends so much time with each patient, and is genuinely invested in your well-being and health. I have a habit of googling and researching my symptoms and diagnoses and this is not always received well by other doctors I've had. However, Dr. Ronan encourages me to do this, as she knows the patient is an expert on their own bodies, so she wants to take into consideration any possible theories you may have about what's going on. In addition to Dr. Ronan, her staff are amazing. Her MA is quick and responsive. They have the prior authorization process down and will work to challenge insurance companies if initially given a denial. I've told Dr. Ronan that I literally owe her my life. She brought me back from the lowest point in my life, due to chronic illness, to a place where I can live a happy, healthy, "normal" life of a 42 year old. She never gave up, even though my conditions were complex and took a lot of trial and error, and was along side me through everything. Everyone deserves a doctor like Dr. Ronan!

I called the office and Maggie the scheduler, was able to get me in to see Dr. Bridgett Ronan in a few days. The office assisted me in having my CT scan results sent to their office prior to my visit. Once I arrived at the office they checked my temperature before I entered the lobby, ensuring the safety of all patients present in the waiting area. Kasia, the doctor's assistant checked my vitals and gave me a brief pulmonary function test. She was very friendly but also very efficient. Shortly after I was checked into the room, Dr. Ronin arrived and explained my CT scan in great detail. She was warm and friendly at the same time very professional. She not only explained the results of my CT scan, she showed me the images and how she arrived at her determination. She took a lot of time explaining my condition and I felt very confident in her advice. She did deliver good news but I must say that even if she were giving me not such good news, she would have done it in a very detailed and compassionate way. I will be followed by Dr. Ronin for the foreseeable future to monitor my condition, and I really look forward to seeing her again. I'm 61 years old and Dr. Ronin is one of the best doctors I've ever encountered. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a very knowledgeable, educated, warm and compassionate doctor.

I used to go here for years until my favorite nurse left their practice. Today, after calling in to book a consultation, I spent over an hour completing their medical history form online. After completing this history, I discovered on a separate form that Vitality charges a fee if you do not end up purchasing products. While this is not unreasonable, it is Discourteous for Vitality to not transparently inform their prospects up front, so I called and stated my concern. The employee did not apologize and said clients can discover this information in the forms. (Does everyone read every line of every form they complete for medical offices?!) I suggested that it would be fairer and more respectful to be transparent about fees up front so that no one's time is wasted. She argued with me and showed no understanding of my concern; the aggressiveness surprised me and I immediately felt that something here was very wrong. I said that if Vitality doesn't respect my time then I can't make them, and then I cancelled the appointment. This conduct by Vitality is a Deceptive Marketing Tactic where Seller makes an attractive initial offer, Buyer expresses interest, Seller then delays vital information while the Buyer makes an investment of time and resources, Buyer then discovers the vital information yet feels pressure to move forward because of their time & resource investment in spite of the distrust which has been fostered by the seller's tactic. The combination of the tactic together with the employee's unapologetic defense of the tactic and failure to acknowledge its impact on me, made it clear that I should not trust doing business with Vitality, much less trust them to provide medical services. As the saying goes, "If you can't trust a person in small things, you cannot trust them with big things."
