11 Months and still waiting for a S&W SD9VE...on a promotion that THEY recommended..nothing special and I was in no hurry so I paid in full... I stopped by the shop several times over the 11 months even asking them to let me know if something else became available...but no follow up..no emails, no call, or offer to pick something else instead..just an "oh well, thats the way it is" type of attitude. Nothing illegal about that though...but eventually gave up on the wait. So I went in to request a refund and guess what...have to wait until the owner is present to issue a refund check..who by the way is only stops in Tues through Friday?? Oh, and by the way..you must call before coming to get your refund first..to check if the owners actually there before you come...really?? I cant make this stuff up... I heard about things like this happening at this place before giving them a try (to include the rudeness and lack of customer service) but I really wanted to support my local shop. Wo knows...maybe they sold me a gun that they couldn't produce or sell to me and choose to let it ride. I. still waiting...and hopefully ( because the lady at the desk didn't sound too convincing) I can "catch" the owner in the store and get my refund. I'm hoping they realize that I do not plan on making several attemps to "catch" the owner to issue my refund...especially if I arrive at their shop during business hours. I'll call and arrive on the next Tuesday as they'd recommended..and will remain optimistic...but wont hesitate to pass this on to my representative if unable obtain my refund within the next few days. Took my ww2 rifle there to see what they would give me for it... Kid in front offered 150 after a quick look at it. I then took it to another shop and was offered $400. Someone in a previous post said they were racist against minorities. Aftter I dealt with them a couple of other times, I suspected that the girl in front was racist against whites. Maybe they just don't like people in general. To be fair, there were times when I went there and found them to be quite knowledgeable and helpful. First time I went in to the shop I was a skeptical basing it on the area. However after conversing with them for 10 minutes about what I was in the market for, it was time for paper work. Everything went smoothly, the staff was very patient and also gave me a quick tutorial in field stripping a rifle. Flash forward 10 days I go to pick up my rifle. Went in to purchase 9mm rounds immediately didn't feel welcomed no greet at the door , the customer service is kinda blunt . More like get what you need and leave vibe . The guy working the computer didn't get his name messy hair dude was non informative. Asked for hallow points he just said he didn't have them . Wish he would've gave me a date onto when he would be expecting shipment or extra info . The young lady was nice she attended me quick she asked if I needed ammo for home defense or target which was cool . Other then that I think ima just wait on blue collar fire arms in Colton to open on weekdays and give them my business for any first time buyers or anybody going in for questions DONT COME HERE. I called this place to see if they had a certain type of rifle. They said they didn't and didn't know when or if they'd ever get one in. I asked them if I ordered the gun from Buds Gun Shop online and had it shipped to their store (as this is the law in California) how would that work. The lady says well we don't make any money on that kinda deal...we will call you as soon as we can once the gun you ordered gets here, but we don't know how busy we're going to be and our paying customers take priority so it may take 8-10 weeks before we get around to calling you about your gun. I told her that this seems ridiculous and she reiterated well sir we don't make a dime off of that gun. I said well if you had the gun in your shop I'd buy it from you, but you don't, so now your going to hold up my gun just because I purchased for someone else. Drove all the way over there to see a pistol that they sent me on an online advertisement. When I asked to see the weapon, I was asked if I was law enforcement. I explained no need to be law enforcement to purchase that weapon, the salesman said, oh ya. Then I was told they don't have them, but could order it. They could advertise the entire wholesale catalog and tell everyone, I can order it. They want you to go somewhere else and inspect the weapon, and use some other gun shops time then come back and buy it from them.
