I'd give zero stars if I could this review is a little late. Last time I was at the store was in 2019. I had a lower receiver sent to them from primary arms.com, and Highland guns sold out from under me. I admit I was a little late, picking it up as I was traveling for work that year, but I stayed in contact with them over the phone and the date that I called them to ask if it was there they said yes and come on in. I went in about four days later. And the guy in the front immediately was confrontational wouldn't let me speak, and every time he asked me a question he started speaking two words into it, I showed him all the paperwork that I had showing that I had came in and he claimed it never came in and I told him that a lady over the phone told me it was a few days ago. It turned into an argument. This guy cannot be proven wrong, even though it's staring them in the face. I got the feeling that they acted like they were better than anybody meaning that they had crap attitudes. He did not try to help find or look he immediately told me it was gone after seeing the dates for my paperwork without checking his paperwork. I will not use this place again. There are many FFL dealers in Southern California. I use this place because they had the cheapest fees. It is true you pay for what you get and this sucks because that lower receiver was on sale for $69 and after the sale and went back to its regular price which was 150 so I let it go. Whoever has my angry badger lower receiver. I hope you enjoy it, I hope you did not pay more than 70 bucks for it either. I'm sure you did if anybody reads this and they are the proud owner of an angry badger lower receiver for an AR 15 bought from Highland guns. It would be pretty cool to watch it sing some lead and into some targets for a day. I don't want it. I just hope it found a good home. I am out the money and at that time a few years ago that was a big hit for me. I saved that money to get that receiver pennies at a time, as I am a father of three, and I come last. So that receiver represented the effort of every penny, that went into getting it, was the last penny after my children's belly's were full. When gun laws are strict as they are in California, it sucks twice as hard to get boned by a company who supposed to be supporting your second amendment. I'm not the only person who has yelled at these people, and I'm sure I won't be the last. Thank you for reading happy holidays. And to the business reply: No duh person! Did u not read what I wrote. Your employee or you said the lower was gone because I took too long to come pick it up. And by rule of highland guns you get to keep it after so long. The problem arose when your employer or you looked at this receipt I posted and went off that date. Did not look into highland guns paperwork, computer, or even consult a crystal ball. And he got infuriated with me because I did not just take his word for it, without checking anything on file, even after I told him I called a few days prior and a female employee told me it was there. So obviously you half assed this read just like the half assed service I was given that day. Your employee or you was being a jack ass from the moment I walked in. He asked questions and doesn't shut up long enough to hear the answer. All he did was talk over me the whole time. I'm sure you know who it is by my explanation of his rude behavior, I'm sure I ain't the first. I called PA and they don't have it. So don't try to reply to me like I didn't do my homework, you do your homework, find the recorded video u have all over the place and fire that ahole. Have u heard of an alias? Who ever typed the reply. So don't worry about the name here, worry about the customer who was disrespected. I just wish I reviews held more weight back then like they do now. If someone walked in ill equipped to make an informed purchase, then I can see how they might have buyers remorse if they saw an identical product available no more than 1/2 an hour away for a lower price. My personal viewpoint is that sometimes quality costs more, and sometimes allowing room in a deal for a knowledgeable sales person to earn a living can be money well spent if it means getting the level of service I want. BUYER BEWARE! This place is like a used car shop. You might get a deal or you might get scammed. I went in here in a rush to buy a new shotgun. Nothing fancy, just needed something quick. I looked at one and it seemed alright and was new. I went pack to pick it up and didn't even take a closer look to make sure it looked like what I purchased. I got it home and now notice it has damage and repairs on it. Some of the damage happened after I first purchased it. The repairs were even poorly done. This place isn't professional and ethical. I purchase a G19 online from an online out-of-state store and had it shipped to Highland, a listed FFL on thier site. Then I called Highland and spoke with a gal who patiently explained and answered my questions in detail the process of picking it up, including to make sure the "Shipping Authorization Letter" was sent by the warehouse. After I received confirmation that the package was delivered, I called Highland again and found out that she was right and that the warehouse did not send the SAL. The gentleman who answered the phone took the time to patiently explain what the process will be and that even though they reached out to the warehouse it might be better for me to contact them as well as their customer, as the warehouse has a history of sending product without the SAL. After almost 2 weeks of waiting on hold for an hour and a half several times and multiple emails back and forth with the warehouse, including their website shutting down, they were able to find and fwd the SAL to Highland as well as directly to me. When I received the call from Scott at Highland to notify me that my firearm was ready to pick, he explained to me everything that I would need to do so. I got to Highland right at 10:00am the following Saturday morning, and was let in and greeted by Scott. Although I was prepared for a long line and up to 2-3 hour wait from what I hear can be experienced at other stores, I was surprised to see only several customers ahead of me who already being helped by other staff. Scott began the process, had me verify and examine the items, content and serial number, asked if I had any questions and I was out of the store within 23 mins including taking the FSC. On top of that, I had a pleasant conversation with Scott, and even shared a story, that gave us both a chuckle. I have to say that my experience with you Scott and Highland was better than expected and that you provide excellent customer service. Thank you guys for the service you provide our community. I purchased a firearm from them and the process was easy and FAST. I took the test, got my card, picked my firearm, filled out docs in record time. I was there for 45 minutes. 10 days later I went in and was there maybe 30-40 minutes because there was a line. Once I got in, it was no longer than 15 minutes for Scott himself to take care of me and get me out the door. I made an online purchase with bad pro shop and had to hunt down a California compliant gun. They do not make it easy, (Highland guns shows nothing but California guns). I went in to sign docs and spent an hour and a half in a line of 6 people then it took an hour to fill out paper work. Staff was nice but not as great as highland guns! I highly recommend. read more

Buying our fist gun with kids at home has not been easy to say the least. They had valid points and very good reasoning for selling me a tactical shotgun that held more ammo and was smaller in size to move around the house in the event we needed too.
