My husband and I decided to drive down from Northern CO to Evergreen for a mini-babymoon. We decided pretty last minute, so Room C was our only option. It's an economy level room, but overall it was cozy and comfy. Highlights - the grounds are beautiful with a creek right outside. Also, the location is great! You can easily walk to everything in downtown Evergreen where there are plenty of great restaurants, shops, galleries etc. Other perks- it's a quick drive to awesome spots like the Tall Grass Spa (highly recommend!) and Lariat Brewing. Even during Covid, they deliver breakfast every morning (decent egg casserole both mornings) and Happy Hour drinks (for those who are drinking ) every evening between 5-6pm. My husband certainly enjoyed the complimentary breckenridge beers! Some downsides - the shower in our room was super small. If you're 7.5 months pregnant (like me when we stayed) you won't have an enjoyable showering experience. Also, the room came with zero closet space. The biggest downside for me was the noise. The walls here are VERY thin. Be prepared to hear your fellow guests talk, walk, cough, flush, shower, etc. Other things to note - quiet hours start nightly at 10pm because the haven is nestled in a neighborhood. The first night, we had obnoxious neighbors who blared music and were pretty inconsiderate. Overall - I would book another weekend away here again, but I would be sure to book far enough in advance to get a cabin room or better yet, the tree house. Enjoy!

We booked a room for one very special night. The weather was snowing that evening. They upgraded us to Blue Spruce Deuce with their compliments. When we arrived they opened the office doors before we entered with a warm and friendly greeting. We had rose petals on the bed and floor to celebrate our special day together. The suite was absolutely awesome. The customer service was above and beyond. We enjoyed a complimentary happy hour glass of wine with our arrival by a fireplace to warm up. We purchased a variety of lovely items from the gift shop. We took advantage of the extra late check out time for an additional 50 bucks. Well worth it in our opinion. They left us a custom made 2/22/22, T&J inscribed wood piece of artwork. I think the prices are fair. Kind of expensive, but match the great customer service and location of this establishment. Our room had a fireplace, hot tub bath, lounge chairs, and lots of beautiful artwork. I really think the staff is the best feature of this business. The breakfast delivery in the morning was absolutely phenomenal. This location is extremely magical with the owners, staff, and surrounding magical elements. Thank you Highland Haven for helping to create such a memorable experience. We are forever grateful!!!

Our second visit. Love it that much! Incredible venue for anything from a couples getaway to a family event (Wedding Party while we were there). Short walk into town is very convenient. Not far from Red Rocks. We saw Mark Knopfler one night. Found a driver to pick up and drop us back. Couldn't have been easier. Morning breakfast is healthy and awesome. Home cooked offerings and changes daily. Homemade cookies and coffee offered throughout the day and Happy Hour wine event gives you plenty of time to meet the other guests from all over the country. Heavenly Haven must screen their guests because we always find interesting people to talk with and share stories about traveling. And the Staff! Awesome! Ariel checked us in and was so much fun to talk to during our stay. Michael told us great stories about living in Evergreen. Roxy made sure everything was perfect!! Love you guys. See you soon.

In place of beach vacation this year, husband and I spent an extended weekend at Highland Haven and it was perfect! We were in Blue Spruce 2 and it was clean, spacious, romantic, wonderful all around. Spent days and evenings in front of the fireplace. Many nice places to eat within walking distance. Breakfast was delivered to the room and tasty. Daily happy hour was a delight. Lovely grounds with paths and river and plenty of wildlife to see. Great time! Will be back.

Just go and relax. Let all the stress go and enjoy the mountain air. Great people, VERY CLEAN, and so romantic. I just wish I could live there.

Seriously was wowed by this little gem for a staycation. Me and the husband are forever looking to explore our own state and this did not disappoint. Everything was amazing here and I'm surprised more photos aren't here présent of the treehouse space. I highly recommend this for couples just looking to reconnect and relax. We happened to do this for my birthday this year and the phone service was non existent which is unusual for the area. The service here is exceptional even before you come out here, staff is communicating with you via text and phone calls which we really appreciated. The details and thought that went into the place is evident and I can't think of finding it at bigger commercialized businesses. You can feel the owners vision for this place as it's obvious they made it their priority to make this a spot for celebrating love . Upon walking I. We were greeted with beautiful classical music and overall warmth. I can't even say anymore so I've attached the photos . thank you guys at highland haven we seriously appreciate you all!

Beautiful little cabins!

All I can say is "Wow!" My wife and stayed here last night to celebrate our first anniversary, and it did not disappoint! This charming little Inn is tucked away just off the main road that goes through the heart of Evergreen. It has a wonderful view of the creek that runs right out front of the Inn, and they have a neat little bridge that goes over the creek. The cozy little cottages are warm and inviting, complete with rustic touches to complete the mountain cabin feel. We stayed in the Blue Spruce cottage, and it had a wonderful little reading room, kitchen, large bathroom, and secluded back patio. They offered a nice breakfast in the morning, which was included with the price. The staff was also warm and friendly. We will definitely return and I will be sure to purchase a cottage for family members for special occasions in the future!

Don't skip Cliff House if you're planning on a Red Rocks show. The location, amenities, staff and…read moreother offerings really added so much to my first time in Morrison. This isn't a super nice or updated space, but we had everything we needed for our mixed bag of early 30s friends. My friends and I stayed in the Stone St. cottage, which is heavily Grateful Dead/psychedelic/ classic rock themed. The room is listed as sleeping 3, which we did on night one, but easily slept 4 on night 2. The grounds were so charming and eclectic. The cottage we were in was a little wonky and slanted on the floor, but the rooms were clean, the shower worked great and we had more than what we needed. We checked in super late in the darkness so we didn't get to experience a normal front desk check in, which I'm sure would brief us on procedures like pre-ordering breakfast the night before, but the staff was so accommodating when we showed up hungry and ordered bacon, eggs and potatoes in the AM. Mary was the cook and she was rad, quick witted and whipped up a lovely home cooked breakfast. There are 2 dogs (that we met) on site names Shokti (gorg white husky queen) and Mr. Dog (precious, hilarious chihuahua businessman) and we loved to pet and visit with them while in the main lodge. That space is incredible: kitschy, eclectic, trippy and warm, just like our whole stay! I could go on forever about how adult-summer-camp-esque the grounds were! Every cottage is themed, though we only entered ours. The covered hot tub was a crucial touch for our group in the crisp 50 degree weather to take a morning dip and unwind after the show. I'm unsure if all cottages come with hot tubs so definitely confirm if that's something you're interested in. The walkability to all the necessities and some breweries/ eateries was appealing when we had time to kill. Cliff House offers a shuttle to and from Red Rocks for a fixed price per rider. The shuttle to the venue leaves 15 minutes prior to doors which was a little late for us, so we opted to take the shuttle back and it was a highlight of the trip. Brook's organized the shuttle, sent us incredibly detailed instructions on where/ how to find her in a short, yellow school bus. I especially appreciate the details because we had been drinking etc and needed the depth of care taken to make sure we found her! The bus was stocked with beverages and we played music and just bopped down the hill, laughing our butts off. This was such a fun stay for us and it was thanks to the grounds, location, home cooked breakfast and tea in the lodge, Mary, Brooks, Shokti and Mr. Dog. I will recommend to anyone I know traveling that way!

Tip: Call to reserve late checkout at 1:30 for $30. First come first served. Otherwise checkout is at 11 AM. It was nice to enjoy coffee in the lodge after a late night concert. Worth it to take the shuttle (mini school bus with a couch and disco balls!) for $15/person to be dropped up at the top of Red Rocks - beats the long line walking up. $25/person pick up - approx 10 min walk but it's all downhill to the party bus and seemed way safer than all the taxi drivers in your face outside of the amphitheater. Brooks is awesome and takes care of you!! We stayed in the Rose Retreat again. It's a small room, but I love the big shower and mini fridge with Brita. The window air conditioning unit kept the place nice and cool with it being 95° outside. Private hot tub and robes in the closet. Breakfast is included. Order at check-in and enjoy the next morning. There is also fruit, bagels, coffee and tea, with alternative milk available. Bottomless mimosas available for a cost. We enjoyed a nice chess game with coffee after a delicious breakfast. Can't wait for the next visit!

We stayed in the…read moreBoxelder room downstairs which is the closest to the outdoor hot tub (didn't use but still neat). The decor was so perfect-like modern southwestern rustic, not sure but I made notes for my own home. Bed comfy, shower hot, fire place inside the room a dream. In the room there is a mini fridge and water kettle, but just outside the room there is a sitting area and mini kitchenette with a microwave. There are a number of loungey gathering areas at the house, I think it would be perfect for a chill girls' weekend where you book out a few rooms. Everything was exactly as shown on the website and while we never met the owners in person, they were so accommodating with quick communication through text. Checking in and out was smooth. You will need to be ok with a flight of stairs to get in the front (and then down to the room if that's what you choose). The driveway is steep but the hosts put gravel on it if icy and our all wheel drive sedan did not have an issue. We spent one of our days at Breckenridge Nordic Center (loved) about an hour drive away. Don't sleep on their food offerings at JMH- we ordered a charcuterie board and wine to greet us at check in and a hikers pack lunch which we brought and ate on a break from skiing in Breck. So yummy-- The owners also put together a local recommendations manual and their recs for coffee and food in Evergreen were spot on. We would definitely choose JMH again!

The house is cozy, remote, and filled with spectacular vibes, courtesy of owners Alea and Ashley, who treat their guests like family. I booked a weekend staycation for my lady's birthday present back in November. Little did she know that I planned to propose to her here. On Friday night, I popped the question on the snowy, outdoor deck by the fire. It was perfect. She said yes, obviously! For that reason alone, Juniper Mountain House will always hold a special place in our hearts. However, let me touch on more specifics regarding the house. First things first, book online via their website if you can. You can also find them on Airbnb and other booking platforms. There are five rooms to choose from, we stayed in the Evergreen Room downstairs that has a beautiful view of the mountains. It's also worth noting that it was only a 30 minute drive from Denver! You arrive by driving up a lengthy driveway and starstruck by the most picturesque mountain home. We were greeted instantly by Alea, as she gave us the rundown and tour of the property with the house dog, Denali. Oh, they even have a hiking trail on site that leads to their wedding venue known as The Meadow. Yeah, this place is pretty damn dreamy. There are two common areas inside the house that are perfect for relaxing. Choose your adventure here by going on a hike, jumping in the hot tub, playing pool, sitting by the outdoor fire pit, or getting to know the other guests staying on site. Like any outstanding business, the people behind the scenes make it special. Ashley and Alea were a joy to talk to, so much so that they brought out a bottle of champagne when they heard about our engagement! Little touches like these, in addition to how they've thought about every minute detail of the house to make it functional and fashionable, made our stay absolutely perfect. I don't like to throw around that P word too often, but I can't think of a more perfect word to describe our experience here. Damnit, I used it again... Locals and travelers, Juniper Mountain House is a MUST.
