Our group stayed at the cabins around 4 years ago and again last week. Our first visit was spectacular. A delightful breakfast was served to you ever morning. Had face to face contact with the owner, Jen. Extremely disappointed this trip. Everywhere you looked there were notes. I am a coffee drinker. I opened the drawer and there was a note. Want more pods,extra charge. My husband was looking forward to the wonderful Breakfast, not. We stayed in the orchard and bootleggers cabins. The bootleggers was extremely dark.The outdoor chairs looked so dirty,I would not sit on them. The orchard was clean. read more

My husband surprised me for my pre-birthday weekend with two nights stay here at the Cabins. The cabins are beautifully decorated, have fireplaces, heated bathroom tiles, private and public hot tubs, etc. (I'm not 100% sure if they all do, but the Chicken Coop Cabin does). We felt at home and super relaxed immediately. The owner/groundskeeper, Mark (not sure what he is), was super friendly, funny and very helpful. He made us feel very welcome and let me FEED AND PET DEER one morning. It was an amazing experience! We've come to the Country Road Cafe many weekend mornings before staying at the cabins, and now we came to find out that breakfast was included in our stay. Added bonus for sure! Mark even brought it to our cabin for us, and they threw in fancy coffee. We love, love, LOVE the cabins and are already planning on spending our anniversary weekend here. We're hooked! P.S. We were in the Chicken Coup which was next to a park full of screaming kids. Management failed to notify the owner that we were in the cabin which caused unnecessary drama. I wish we had picked another place. The unit was cute and well equipped. read more

It's been almost two years since my husband and I got married and spent the first three nights of our honeymoon at the Cabins at Country Road. Seriously, we wish we could go back and just spend a whole week at this amazing, rejuvenating getaway. It is definitely my dream to come back again for future anniversaries, and maybe a family trip with our son and future kiddos! I remember thinking, why would anyone want to travel to another country when wedding planning was so intense and crazy. After our wedding, as fun as it was, we were so ready to just relax! And that's what we did. We left our wedding reception in Downtown Denver at 9:30, and made it to our cabin by 10pm. How perfect is that? We didn't have to stay in a hotel, worry about getting to the airport the next day, nothing! Instead we slept in, and received the most amazing breakfast in the state (from Country Road Cafe!) to our front porch. I'm literally just sitting here daydreaming about it. We will be back. Staying at these cabins, having the quality of service that this amazing staff offers is worth ever penny! read more

Five of us drove in for a concert an Avett Brothers concert at Red Rocks. After a twelve hour drive we hit the hot tub right away! The setting was breathtaking. A small mountain stream bubbled past our cabin and hot tub. The hot tub was partially shaded which met both my need for shade and my husbands need for sun. Each morning we enjoyed (hands down) the most delicious, flavorful, and creative breakfast that I have ever had offered at a b&b served on the porch. (which was delivered at the location and time of our choice). The owners run a cafe and the entire breakfast menu was available to choose from. I loved the Big Greek Omelet and the Steak and Truffle hash! We stayed in the huckleberry cabin and were very comfortable. The beds and bedding were soft and cozy and I loved the inter design of the cabin. We prepared a few meals and used the outdoor grill one night. We didn't take advantage of the made to order wood fired pizzas that were available but may try them next time. The owners were very accommodating and more than willing to supply anything we needed even information about the best place to watch the sunrise and set. One of the best parts of our stay was being joined for breakfast by a young deer. She wandered right past a neighboring group who was also enjoying breakfast outside their cabin and quietly ate trees and plants right next to us. Even though we were right off the main road it was quiet and peaceful and we were able to enjoy nature like only colorado can offer. The only complaint I could possibly have was that the Internet was very difficult to stay connected to and keep a strong enough signal to use it was nearly impossible. If you plan one getting any work done you may need to find another option for using the Internet. Also note that the cabin we stayed in wasn't air conditioned which wasn't a problem because each night a cool breeze filled out rooms but it could become very uncomfortable if it would be unseasonable hot. It is with regret that I write this review on another platform due to the lack of The Cabins at Country Road's ability to reach out and resolve our situation. Mark treated me with the most disrespect I have ever received, specifically by someone in hospitality. When you book with them, please be aware, you cannot have any guests when visiting. I am warning you because they make this very unclear when booking and I personally suffered from this. To make a long story short, I had people come, during the day, to the cabin we rented for $600+ to get ready for my wedding day at a venue down the street. Mark got in my face and yelled at me regarding the matter and kicked everyone out. They continued to insult me with their response to my review on a different site. We payed for two nights and were kicked out and not welcomed back for the second night. However, we were still charged for both nights. I have very little confidence this establishment will make this right and will seek legal action regarding the matter. The property is beautiful but if you have any issues, you will not be pleased with their ability to handle conflict. I respected their other guests, I made sure the cabin was in perfect condition after we were kicked out, I attempted to resolve the situation with mark but he kept yelling at me. This event caused me to cry all morning on our wedding day. I would never recommend this location to anyone. I do respect the other staff to their attempts on August 5th to make things right. However, it does not resolve the way Mark treated us. I would like for The Cabins At Country Road to at least revise their booking format to make this clear to other guests when booking. I would also like them to attempt to resolve the situation with us regarding the charges after we were not welcome. read more

This place is no doubt the most magical place to stay around Evergreen. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in the Bootlegger Barn for our anniversary. From the very beginning we just fell in love with the details of the property and our cabin. It was impeccably designed and contained all the the amenities you could possibly need. We spent our stay in complete privacy, playing board games and cards that were in the cabin, watching movies, sitting on the back porch sipping our coffee watching the deer graze less than 20 feet away. The breakfasts are delivered to your room in the morning and they are delicious. Hands down best pancakes I've ever eaten! If you're looking for a private, magical, romantic place to relax in do not hesitate to stay here!! read more

Perfect little cabin for us with the sounds of nature just outside our door. The ladies could not be any sweeter Stay includes breakfast and when they say "Holy Cow" they mean it. Way more than one person can eat at once But it was delicious and we'll try to eat the leftovers for lunch. The cabin is a one bedroom cabin with a sitting room and kitchen. While we enjoyed our stay I was hoping for a more relaxing (and scenic) setting. We stayed in the Chicken Coop which accommodates 2 and has a private hot tub in a fenced courtyard. Unfortunately this cabin shares a fence with a very large public playground/park that was full of kids all day. We love kids but it was not ideal to hear every temper tantrum, fall and complaint while trying to enjoy some solitude on the porch. The cabin itself was so beautiful and had everything we needed. The setting/property was somewhat compact and rather than the robust river view I was expecting, we could only hear it unless wanting to venture out. All told the property itself was pretty, but offered no view. It felt like a cabin in the woods as opposed to a cabin in the foothills/mountains. The cabin was very well appointed (the hot tub was a bit disappointing - shallow and dated) however the chaos at the park was distracting. The breakfast was excellent and it's a treat to have it delivered to your cabin. Overall, it's a bit expensive for 2 people and in short, I was hoping for a bit more. read more

Simply the best! The location of the cabins, alongside a beautiful creek, can't be topped, it is absolutely stunning. The decor of the "Fish Camp" is fun, homey, and very welcoming. Truly one of the most peaceful locations and the nicest cabin we have ever stayed at! Hidden away behind a fabulous cafe, this place is an oasis of tranquility on the creek. We stayed in Huckleberry House, a two bedroom two story cottage with a porch right on the river. It was very comfortable! The kitchen is lovely with everything you need to cook (if you want to). There's a fireplace, dining room, and living room also downstairs. A spiral staircase leads to two cute upstairs bedrooms - one with a queen and one with two twins. There's also an odd little area "The Jail" upstairs that might be fun for two kids to sit in. Everything is thoughtfully and beautifully appointed. There are small air conditioning units upstairs for when it gets hot, but I just opened my bedroom screened window and enjoyed both the sound of the river and a passing thunderstorm, as well as the local male elk singing to his lady friends. There's a hot tub and a sauna outside, as well as several places to just sit and enjoy the river. The breakfasts were HUGE and delicious, delivered to our room at the time we asked (you leave your order in the front Fish mailbox the night before). Pictures really don't do this heavenly place justice - just splurge and do it! My only issue (getting older here) is that it was pretty much impossible to get our luggage upstairs, which wasn't really an issue as the bedrooms are super small and really can only be used for sleeping. We just changed downstairs. But this also meant for some "e ticket" trips down those spiral stairs in the middle of the night for bathroom trips. THE BEST PLACE WE'VE EVER STAYED!!! My fiancé surprised me with an overnight stay at the Cabins at Country Road. There's not much to see from the road when you first pull in, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But when we were shown to our cabin, I never wanted to leave! We cooked dinner for ourselves in the awesome kitchen while watching Harry Potter in the DVD player and took a long soak in the hot tub. We arrived pretty late since we both worked that day, but every single second we were there was amazing. No detail was left out and it was absolutely perfect for our five year anniversary (of the day we met). We will DEFINITELY be coming back, and often! read more
