Highlands Glass was recommended by my ins company. I contacted them to replace the windshield on my Genesis GV80. When I spoke with their front desk I told the individual I wanted to have the windshield ordered from the Genesis. She told me that would take much longer and that most replacements are done with after-market glass; with no issues. I was very skeptical and we went back and forth. My concern was that the after-market windshield would not be the same and I would be stuck with an inferior product. She assured me that if I was not satisfied Highlands Glass would replace with a windshield from the factory. After the replacement I heard more road noise but chalked it up to the roads or my tires. Then the rains came to California. On 12/31, the rain started seeping into my car from the windshield. I left a message with Highlands and received a call on 1/3/23. They sent the previous installer to my house to determine the cause. I told him about the glass sticking out. He told me that's how it's supposed to be. Told him the glass wasn't cut straight and seemed rather thick at the top. He put some type of liquid sealant on the rubber (as if that's a permanent solution), told me he would pass my comments to the owner and left. This was the first time I had seen the top of the windshield as the tape had to stay on the windshield for a bit after installation and I was super busy with work and holidays. I called the office the next day, talked to the owner Tom and he said he would send his manager out. The manager came out Jan 10, looked at the glass, told me that was how it was supposed to look, reminded me the installer "fixed" the leak, then proceeded to talk AT me about aerodynamics. He asked what I wanted to happen. I told him I wanted the windshield ordered from the manufacturer. The installer said he would let the owner Tom know. Today is Jan 13th. I haven't heard from Tom. He will not return my calls. The ins company called Tom and he told hem the glass is installed correctly and he's not replacing it. I know what my windshield looked like before it was replaced. The glass did not stick out 1/4". As a matter of fact, I couldn't even see the top of the glass. It fit into the frame of the car. NEVER EVER USE HIGHLANDS GLASS. If your insurance recommends them avoid them. Lesson learned... read more

LOVE this Company! Tom and Tara are the absolute best. They are the only glass company I have to replace my windshield. My family only uses them as well for service. Just had my windshield replaced on my Mercedes-Benz 08 ML350 for the second time in 1yr. by HIGHLAND GLASS, Tom is on top of things and he will take care of you if you have any question or concerns. The work they do is 10 out of 10 very clean and careful with your car. They show up in time and they are honest. Before I found HIGHLAND GLASS I had bad experiences with other glass companies there is more than one thing that can go wrong, believe me. They will work with you on your deductible depending on your insurance company and if you need help making the claim they will also be on the phone with you to make sure it gets done right. read more

Just bought a brand new 2012 VW Golf TDI. Second day of commuting down 80 and we get tagged with a big rock which caused a large chip with several cracks on our windscreen. Insurance deductible was $100 so I decided to pay out of pocket. Guy at my agent office recommended Highland Glass as they work with them often. Called them up, real person answered the phone and listened well to my situation. I was presented with a few options and an offer to pay part of my deductible for full replacement. As we commute a lot we chose the chip repair and scheduled an appointment. Service rep showed up exactly on time, fixed my windscreen chip and was done in less than 15 minutes. Total cost, $45 bucks. Great job, great service, show up on time, reasonable price. What more could you want? read more

One star is too much! Absolutely the worst customer service. I have been talking with Tom the owner about coming out to replace my windshield. Continual promises and no performance. On April 2nd they came out to replace my windshield, the first guy did not have the right window. 2 1/2 hours later a different guy showed up and replaced the windshield. The installation looked good however my rain sensor did not work. Over the next month we played schedule tag attempting to get the problem fixed. About 8 weeks in they were able to come out and check it out. The guy said the sensor was fine it must be a fuse. I took it to the dealership and they said its the wrong window. The sensor is optical and needs a clear glazing spot for it in the black out section. I called Tom the owner again and he told me that its the right window and the dealership was mistaken. I sent him a picture showing the window does not have the clear spot where it should. After telling him I want my $345.00 back so I can hire someone who knows what they are doing, he assured me they would come out and replace the windshield. That was week before last and still nothing. I just called again and his answering service just hung up on me. Do yourself a favor and hire any company besides this one. If the owner can't make good on his promises, who is left! They Suck! read more

Amazing experience. I called and got a appointment set up. When the tech came out, they discovered that the plastic on the side of the window would be broken by doing the replacement, so they immediately stopped. I was able to continue using my car while they ordered the new parts from the dealership and then were able to get me scheduled again within a week. Tara and the office peeps are friendly and efficient. Thanks for everything, will definitely use again if I ever need any glass work. read more

I woke up with a shattered back windshield and was able to get an estimate within 5 minutes and have a tech out to my house 4 hours later! Tom was professional and pleasant on the phone and I wish I would of got my tech's name but he was friendly and fast! Amazing company, great owner and customer service. Someone busted my back window of my SUV and it was going to take a week for another company to get the replacement window. Highlands had one in stock and was able to get it scheduled the next day. Not only did the tech show up on the early part of the estimated time, he opened up the back door panel and removed all the broken glass that was rattling around - it was something I was going to try to figure out how to do later, but the tech just took care of it. THREE TIMES TOM AND HIS TECH have failed horribly. Tech said he rang our doorbell and knocked. There is no way we wouldn't have heard either. My wife was home for 3 hours waiting. Second time was Toms fault because he didn't write down her number or the CORRECT time that the appointment was for. And is trying to claim that I made the appointment for a time that my wife is at work. Dude, get your affairs in order! THIRD TIME!!!!! Tech says he shows up at my door ringing the door bell and knocking, my wife was home when this was supposedly happening! We got Tom on the line rang the doorbell for him and it is loud as day! And he wants to refuse to do business with us? Sir, you need to hire trustworthy techs. read more

I had my old truck glass repaired back in 2003 and was treated professionally with great customer service. So, I went back to have my new truck glass replaced (courteous of hwy80). They installed the windshield fine but left a dustpan full of glass shards in the driveway and sidewalk in front of the house. Tiny shards, not chunks of glass. My daughter went out and swept it up then hosed it down, so her 3 kids 9, 5, and 2 wouldn't get the shards in their feet. I called and left 2 messages with the complaint. Owner finally got back to me 2 days later with a no big deal attitude and said they couldn't be picking up all the glass. Basically blew me off even after I expressed my concerns about the glass and the little kids. DO NOT use this company. They brought the glass, they should have cleaned it up. read more

Called for an insurance claim for my jeep window, they said they could give on site service tomorrow, which they did. Had the repair done in like 15 minutes. Offered, but was not able to vacuum the glass out of my car because there was no outlet anywhere near unfortunately but not their fault. They were within the time frame of the appointment, and friendly. The installer went right to work, and was finished within an hour.
