If you're anywhere near the Santa Ynez valley and you're looking for a fun outing. Look no further. Highline adventures provides zip lining, hiking trails and a climbing course the whole family can enjoy. My wife and I went today for the second time since they opened in July of 2023. The best part about the park is the staff. Cody helped us don our harness and Brad drove us up to the top of the trail head in an open bed Humvee. Admission includes three different zip lines with breath taking views from Lake Cachuma to the Santa Ynez valley. The staff double and triple checks that your harness and safety line are correctly fastened and off you go. It's like you're flying through the canyon. Highline adventures is a 30 minute drive from downtown Santa Barbara and less than five minutes off the 101 freeway in Buelton. After you go zip lining, you can go visit the ostrich farm which is right next door to the park, or go have lunch and walk around the danish city of Solvang. read more

Beautiful place,I love the location. We did the Zipline tour with my 5 other friends/coworkers. And man,it was awesome.Never even once during the course of the zipline tour did I felt I wasn't safe.They were thorough with the safety checks,making sure everything's correct aside for a fact that their equipments are state of the art.Its the most comfortable position to ever do the zipline. Worry-free and stress free.Now I know where to bring our relatives if they want some fun and adventure activities.And its even close to home.Way better! I have planned a short mother daughter trip to Solvang and came across this great activity, my daughter is almost 8 and was not in the weight limit to go on the zip line so we have done the adventure course. we are both very adventurous so it was 2 hours of 100% fun ! would recommend it to any family who likes a great adventure ! Corina the instructor was lovely. at some point we got a different male instructor who wasn't that wonderful like her since he spend some time on his phone and it kind of bothered me but over all i still give it 5 stars! read more

My son and I had a great experience today. When we arrived, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The adventure trek worked great for us. I used the easier trek and my son the hardest. We were in the same area so we could video and take pictures of each other. Safety was important to the staff and they were always there to assist. I would recommend that you either bring gloves or buy a pair when you arrive. They cost $5.00 a pair and they were worth every penny! We will visit Highland again! Next time we go, we plan on doing the zipline. read more

Highline was top notch. My 7 year old daughter was just 48 inches so she barely made the cut for the ropes course and was super excited. We arrived late due to weather issues--not a problem. The staff accommodated us without any questions and gave us first class attention throughout. The equipment seemed brand new and the hook system (designed so one has to always be locked on) made me feel super safe even with my little one. Our guide was patient and a great coach, giving encouragement that allowed my daughter to accomplish more than she probably thought she could do. Facilities seem brand new too and they'll likely soon have a bar for a beer afterwards (which I expect can help with the calm down of nerves when you finish!). Can't imagine a better ropes course experience--highly highly recommend. Thanks to everyone there! read more

Great outdoors experience! Super duper friendly staff that are outgoing and provide exceptional customer service. Each member throughout my experience was very friendly and great to talk to. The obstacle course staff provided great guidance on helping my wife and I get through some tough courses. The zipline staff were also super funny and social with the group. I took my 3 nephews and niece to the Adventure Course for their Christmas gift. We had a great time! The staff was super helpful and available out on the course if we needed them. There is a range of obstacles from beginner to advanced. One of the best features of this course compared to others I've done is that it is throughout the trees, so you're always shaded. Did both the adventure course and zip line. Wow, what a fun experience. Customer service is stellar, both the adventures are awesome and the area is beautiful. Keep in mind, you do need some level of fitness to complete the adventure course. It is very difficult and demanding, but your teenage kids will love every second of it! As a Dad, I was able to complete the lower course, but tapped out after that. My 15 year old daughter completed the whole thing, but it was a physical test for her! She had a blast. The zip line was equally fun and easier physically. Highly recommend this adventure for the adventurous family! read more

Fabulous experience! We did the Protea Walking Tour (and only observed the zip line and the adventure ropes course, which also looked great), and the tour far exceeded our expectations. They took us almost to the top of one of the mountains surrounding the Santa Ynez Valley in an open air humvee; the views were spectacular, the 15 varieties of protea were planted on gorgeous hillsides in lovely and thoughtful landscape design, and the guide was so knowledgeable and personable. We will definitely be taking all of our visitors on this tour! read more

A great time! Our adult kids and their spouses were in town for the Christmas holiday and we took them to the Adventure Park course. Super fun and quite challenging! Staff was friendly and helpful, parking was easy. We only got through about 1/4 of the course, so we will be back to experience more and try the zip line. Highly recommend! read more
