The hummer that will take you all the way up!

The process for reserving a spot and checking in was super easy and the store itself is so cute! I love all the proteus flowers and plants on their site, I've never seen them growing anywhere before! I'm gonna be super honest here, I was scared out of my mind to do this as I don't like heights or the feeling of falling, but my husband loves all that stuff so I wanted to do this for him! Our 2 guides Noelle and Juan were so sweet and encouraging to me even though they were half my age! I was literally crying before the first zip line and Juan was just so sweet to me! The cables and outfit they put you in are very secure and I never once felt worried about my safety! Such a smooth starting process... if I loved zip lining this would have been a dream and my husband did love it! Overall I highly recommend it and you won't get a better view than up on that mountain!

My friend and I were staying in Santa Barbara. We wanted to zipline. I found Highline Adventures through searches and reviews. I went on the website, easy to navigate, reserve a spot and pay. About an hour drive from downtown Santa Barbara...not bad. We did go on a Thursday at 11:00 AM. Plenty of parking and only 6 in our group. The "Base Camp" main office is very nice, new, clean bathrooms, easy check-in with small storage box to hold a small purse with keys wallets and such. Joey and Jaun were our guides, they were fantastic, super friendly very courteous, made sure we were safe. Basically the Zipline adventure consist of a jeep ride to the first Zipline where you get geared up and are given safety instructions. The zips are 2 side by side lines, which was fun to race with my friend. First zip is the longest, Second is medium and third is the fastess down to base camp. My only wish is that hey had more than 3 ziplines. My only helpful hints would be is to wear sunscreen (in our case I wore leggings and a light long sleeve shirt), more comfortable, PLUS if you wear shorts or sleeveless shirt of any kind, put bug spray on. When you were stationary there were these annoying flys. It was deffinitely worth it and fun as hell. I would go again when I go back to Santa Barbara. If you plan ahead leave time to go to Solvang for lunch... fun area too. Zipline: very safe and so much fun. Service: excellent.

My husband and I love trying out new things. Going on adventures. Highline adventures was a perfect thing for us to do. They were super sweet even before we got there. We needed directions to get there from their alternate route so we had to call. They were sweet in giving us directions. Super nice when we got there to check in. The two people we got to do the overall ziplines were super nice and funny. Definitely would help anyone with nerves. Hahaha. Super fun. We enjoyed. We will be going back to do their night/afternoon zipline.

BLOODY AMAZING!! Let's begin this review. Highline Adventures (est 2022) is a premier outdoor adventure park that offers thrilling experience. It's located on Hwy 246 in Buellton, CA. It is the state's fastest and biggest zipline tours. Upon arrival visitors will Check-in at basecamp and sign a waiver, if you haven't done it online. Your personal belongings can be kept safe at basecamp in their cubbies. There is a short hike and a 20 minute open jeep ride going to the first zipline. It gets pretty dusty along the way btw. The 2-hour zipline consist of 3 tandem zipline (3, 2 & 1) levels, guest soar for a total of 7,500 feet of cable at 400 ft. Their level 3 is the highest and longest zipline at 3,360 feet with speed of 40 mph; level 2 is moderately high and long zipline at 2,100 ft with speed over 50 mph; level 1 is the lowest and shortest zipline at 1,1940 ft with speed over 60 mph. Make sure to bring a DJI GoPro! Cellphone is risky once it dropped it is GONE in perpetuity. The best part was the breathtaking view of Santa Ynez Valley. And it wasn't that hot today thanks to the light cool breeze of September. Price for the zipline course program was worth every dollar. Our Tour Guides were knowledgeable and affable. Therefore, I gave a significant tip for their service. Overall, we enjoyed every minute of the ride. The perfect day adventure. I highly recommend you visit.

SO. MUCH. FUN! The guides were awesome! We had Adam and Gio! They were super funny the entire time and had a brotherly dynamic. Awesome experience and highly recommend! It was so much fun!! I loved how challenging the obstacles were. We definitely underestimated the difficulty of the course though, balance and upper body strength would be helpful and in many cases necessary.

These guys have got their act together from the Humvee that takes you to the zipline. To the setup of the 3 ziplines. First one in the longest in CA. You need to pencil down unless you have some weight on your bones. It gives the newbies a taste of the experience. The 2nd one allow everyone to go crazy - starfish with deadman is fun. They wrap it up with outright zoom to the bottom. The guides and staff make the experience awesome. Give it a try!

Overall, an amazing first time experience zip lining. Everyone was so friendly uplifting and make sure safety was first. I have younger kids ages 4 and 6 so they are both too little for the zip lines but they really enjoyed the SkyNet playground. It's basically these bungee cords that are springy like a trampoline with some bridges and structures they can crawl through. I bought tickets online and checked in at the main adventure park building where they also have some snacks and drinks. My kids had a great time and I did too so if you are looking for something fun to do with little ones, check out the Sky Net park. The website says ages 6 and under can be accompanied by a parent.

Great set up and people looking after you. The safety is top notch and all the rope lines are very challenging but possible! Expect to get a sweat on! Brilliant Xmas present to experience with grandson who was loads quicker than me!

The Team at Highline was amazing!!! We had a big party for the zip-line tour but my youngest son was too young to participate. I opted for the ride along option for him and him being able to ride in the military truck was so cool for him! Brittney was our tour guide and she was so informative and so kind to my son, he just loved her!! The entire team was great! Cadence, Ethan I wish I could remember all of their names! Zip lining here with my wife was so much fun and you feel very safe the entire time. Our VIP guides, Nate and Caleb, (great people! Adrenaline Superstars!) ensured we were kept safe and had fun the entire time we were flying down the hill. The ride up alone in the back of the hummer was a blast. We definitely recommend this activity (with Caleb and Nate!) and the views and scenery are incredible! Will try the evening zip lining soon! read more

My 14-year-old son and I have been to several zip-lines in Costa Rica. How did this one compare, I wondered? How can this top the longest and highest zipline over Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna? My kids had zip-lined upside down in Manuel Antonio National Park among some Toucans. The answer to how Highline compared can be found in that soothing, freeing, magical feeling that you get when the wind brushes through your hair as you cascade down with beautiful views from all directions. Put simply, in Costa Rica - and many other countries-- one has to wear a helmet to go ziplining. This was our first experience where the facility was licensed to go "helmet free" like Six Flaggs or Disneyland. I highly recommend it! I felt more like I was in a high, safe, convertible car with beautiful scenery, than on a zip line. Especially for the last of the 3 rides. Savor that one and let your hands go! read more

I found this adventure on social media and discovered it was SO CLOSE to Flying Flags Campground (we could see one of the ziplines from our campsite, actually!). We booked the hummer ride up to the ziplines -- and let me say that this is the most LUXURIOUS zipline. The company is so organized, which put us at ease and they were SO GOOD to our kids (10-14), who were definitely nervous! Having done other ziplines, I can say this is the BEST one to do for any age, agility or comfort level...the harness is a very secure chair in which you're leaning back and the breaking is very smooth. Every employee had their role all dialed in so all you do is enjoy the ride and walk to each platform! Our kids did the ropes course after, which was very challenging. Book well in advance and include your whole group -- even if they think they are too scared to try it! read more

The high ropes course was challenging and fun. The people working were all incredibly nice and seem to be enjoying their job. There were other people on the course but it never felt crowded. Safety-wise it was an A+ experience. We did the zip line a year ago and loved that too! read more

Hidden gem in Santa Ynez! What a challenging yet rewarding experience at the adventure ropes course. We have a membership for the ropes course and have been 3 times so far. Once the staff teach you how to use your harness, you're free to just go off on your own, we like that. When my $300 pocket knife fell out, the staff found it and held it for me until we returned - almost 4 weeks later. It's a great way to get a little exercise, 40feet up next to hawks and zip-liners. There's an ostrich/emu zoo right next door, Solvang is 15 mins one direction and Vandenberg Space Force Base 25mins the other way read more

A++ for so many reasons. First, Great people - friendly, knowledgeable, safety conscious and committed to everyone having a fun and positive experience. My 85-year old mother did not zip line, but road along and visited with Spencer, who was wonderful to her (even picking her a flower!). Second, the facility they use has a cool vibe, with couches, a small merch store and cold drinks. They take you to the top in the back of a green Army-issued Hummer. Third, the views are unmatched. On your ride up the mountain and on the zip line runs, you see for miles and miles. It is an incredible vantage point. Finally, the runs are amazing! They boast having the tallest run in CA (the first) and the fastest (the last). SO much fun! I cannot imagine a better place to zip line. We will be back for sure! read more

Oh my gosh......what a blast. Tucked in the mountains of the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley with views for miles. My wife and I booked the moonlight zipline and were treated to a full moon! Spence, Brad and Sam are an incredible team and we couldnt stop laughing. We did karaoke on the ride up the mountain which broke the ice for all of us.....although Brad needs to work on his singing voice . We did the Adventure Course two hours before the zip-line for the full adventure. We would recommend Highline to any and all. We will be back......might even have to apply for a part time job! read more

Beautiful place,I love the location. We did the Zipline tour with my 5 other friends/coworkers. And man,it was awesome.Never even once during the course of the zipline tour did I felt I wasn't safe.They were thorough with the safety checks,making sure everything's correct aside for a fact that their equipments are state of the art.Its the most comfortable position to ever do the zipline. Worry-free and stress free.Now I know where to bring our relatives if they want some fun and adventure activities.And its even close to home.Way better! Our three zipline course will take you across beautiful hillsides and along vast ridge lines, providing breathtaking views of the area. Our guides are fully trained to provide a safe and educational experience for everyone. Put your courage and abilities to the test on our adventure park course. This course is designed to be challenging and safe for all ages with our double clip Via Ferrata style harness system. Climb ladders, cross rope bridges and maneuver various obstacles as you safely navigate through the treetops. Before leading a tour, all guides must pass a series of in-house training courses. Training includes course-specific requirements from the manufacturer, demonstration of gear and equipment knowledge, ability to perform rescue procedures and obtain CPR + First Aid certification.

Came here with 5 girls to do the obstacle Course and zip…read moreline. The course was fun and the kids said they would it again. It started easy and got challenging as they progressed. There is some walking back and forth the little hill. They zip line down and walk back up. After the hour and half course, they were tired. They still Enjoyed the whole experience. The staff are friendly and making sure they understood all the safety rules. It runs about 0930-1330 and there wasn't any options for food. Kids get grumpy and hungry. I recommend bringing snacks. The other thing I wished was that they offered gloves. The girl's hand are all tore up on the ropes and some ropes looked like metal and hot from the heat. If they don't provide gloves, then recommend them and allow parents bring or decide to buy them.

Incredible experience for the whole family! Our youngest is 10 years old, and it took a while for her to warm up to it, while my older two wanted to go for another full adventure right after they were done. The staff were so good about ensuring safety, and helped my youngest gain confidence - that by the end, she was ready to jump right in to higher level ropes. What bothered me most was he said "AXE STOP BEING A JERK" which made me really upset and uncomfortable. I don't like it when people wok with animals and call them derogatory names.

The first red flag was that the company did not provide a phone number, making it difficult to get help or clarification when we needed it. We followed their directions exactly and arrived 30 minutes early. We parked in the designated lot as instructed by the person at the gate, but our guide never came to meet us. We eventually had to drive into the park ourselves and locate the guide, who was parked on the side of the road. There was no clear signage identifying the company or where customers were supposed to check in. Once we finally found the guide, the intake process took approximately 40 minutes. After all of that, we paid approximately $700 for a ride that lasted only about 20 minutes. We were also promised pictures from the experience, but no pictures were ever provided. What made the experience even worse was the customer service afterward. Rather than taking responsibility for the poor communication, unclear instructions, lack of signage, and failure to provide what was promised, the company provided little to no accountability. For the amount of money we spent, this was absolutely not the experience we expected. Poor communication, poor organization, inadequate customer service, and failure to deliver what was promised. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company and would strongly encourage others to consider other ATV companies before booking.

My two brothers and I spent the long Thanksgiving weekend in Solvang and decided to end our trip…read morewith an ATV tour in the Santa Barbara mountains before heading back to L.A. Best decision ever! Although getting to the meeting point was a bit scary as we drove 15 mph through winding roads next to steep cliffs, the views were nice and the ATV experience was totally worth it! We gave ourselves plenty of time to get lost and it took us about 1.5 hours to get to the checkpoint. Luckily Google Maps was on the entire time and we even had an hour to kill on top of the mountain before our 12:30pm appointment. (Also had screenshots of the directions in case we lost service). Upon arrival, we met with the two girls who were wearing face masks and face shields so we felt safe. They had all the sanitizing stuff. They checked us all in, gave us each a mesh covering for our head, pairs of gloves, goggles and helmets. They offered different insurance plans (just like a rental car company), each ranging in price. Then, they walked us over to the ATVs where Jorge was our tour guide. He asked us if we've ever rode before and taught us how to use the automatic ATVs and made us feel comfortable and safe. (Throttle was on the right handle bar and brakes on the left. Second brake was a foot pedal). We drove on wide and narrow trails, over some fun rocky areas, kicking up lots of dust, and he took photos of us the entire time. This was a great family bonding experience and we're all still talking about how fun it was and want to do it again. Know Before You Go: It gets dusty so wear clothes and closed toe shoes that you're ok getting dirty. Give yourself plenty of time to drive to the location because the last thing you want to do is rush through the scary mountain roads. 10/10 would definitely do this again!

There is free parking, playground, picnic areas, sports fields, walking path, & restrooms. This park is unique! I planned to come see it for myself when I came to Solvang on Jan. 17, 2026. Every aspect from the entrance sign to the playground is filled with Danish decor! I was intrigued with the mosaic clock tower out front and the embedded elements in the walkway. The playground is awesome! You walk through the windmill to the slightly raised decking. I checked out the neat painted wood panels, each with cutouts for your face or body. Photo Op time! There's a castle with towers, slides, tire swings and regular swings, rubber rope to walk across, rock climbing wall, monkey bars, rings, and more! More specific Danish themed items at this park are a Gingerbread House, Puppet Theater and Viking Ship. They're so cool! There's also a Tot Lot for 2-5 year olds and adult supervision is required. The play houses and a wagon for climbing are in this area. It also has spring ride-on animals and 3 baby swings. There's a picnic shelter with a Santa Maria style grill. It's perfect for grilling lots of food for a large group! The restrooms are just beyond this picnic shelter. They are each accessed by their own door. I prefer this style rather than the multi-stall restroom. Whether or not you are a kid, kid at heart, have kids, or have kids with kids... come check it out! I think you'll be happy you did!

Its right by the water, which allowed for beautiful views the entire time we were there. Be warned, it can get super windy since most of the campsites that are close to the water are on a bluff, which lead to our campsite being windier than those that were away from the water. The campground itself is mostly dirt and the camp roads need some TLC but the grounds themselves are well maintained. There are a couple of restrooms throughout the campsite and the toilets are flushable. They have a showers that cost $1 for about 3 minutes of very very hot water. We wernt able to change the water temp so that was unfortunate. Now lets get into our campsite. As mentioned, it was by the water and there were some trees nearby but they provide little to no shade. A couple of campsites further south was a campsite that was identical to ours but with lots of shade. I would recommend at least 2 canopies to stay cool in the summer heat. We were able to make both a wood fire and use our propane stove, so i'm glad there were no fire restrictions in place. (Make sure to check local fire restrictions during fire season!) This was mid August and we camped Monday-Thursday and we found the campground to be fairly quite at night. Make sure to secure your food at night as there are LOTS of raccoons. On our second night I was woken up to an entire family looking through our belongings. Thankfully, all other campers were respectful of quite hours and we slept good all three nights. Another thing we were not prepared for was the amount of hornets/wasps. Every time we cooked breakfast our campsite was swarmed by them to the point were we were getting uncomfortable by the amount that had spawned outta nowhere. I would advise taking something to deter them. There's a camp store by the entrance of the campsite, they have all the essentials with a slight upcharge, but thats expected since the other closest stores were 20-30 min away. They also have a gas station there that was fairly priced and had all the essentials(Beer, food and ice). Passing the store and heading towards the campsites, theres also a docking station where you can rent boats, Kayaks, etc. The rangers were all kind and on the last day when we were leaving, my car battery had died and they were kind enough to give us a jump. I cant recommend this spot enough, there's plenty to do within the campground and its perfect for a quick getaway.
