Really appreciate the great care I get from Highline Dental Care! Sylvia is an amazing hygienist and the front desk ladies are incredibly helpful and friendly. Dr. Karami is kind and efficient. When I mentioned wanting tooth whitening but being hesitant about a crown being a different color, he said he can replace it with a newer, better looking one, but my current one was more than fine. It's so nice not feeling pressured to spend a fortune like I have experienced at multiple other practices! I've never had to wait for my appointment, and booking/rescheduling is a breeze!. I had some tooth pain, and a friend of mine suggested Dr. Ardavan Karami. I needed to extract my wisdom teeth and perform deep cleaning (have not been to the dentist for more than 6 years). Dr. Karami is very competent. He extracted my upper wisdom teeth and I didn't even felt it. He explained everything before and after each procedure which made me comfortable and relax. Everyone in this office, from the receptionists to the dental assistants to the doctor himself, was extremely kind to me and all very knowledgeable. I came in with a very badly infected and broken tooth in which the filling had fallen out and had become excruciatingly painful. I never felt judged or looked down on and everyone was so nice about telling me what was going on and what to expect. As soon as they found out my insurance had authorized the root canal they brought me into the office and made sure I was totally numb before beginning the procedure, and the doctor and tech both asked me a few times whether I was ok during the process (it was very uncomfortable to me only because I am terrified of metal instruments in my face and have severe needle phobia, other than that the procedure itself was painless). There was a nice little television screen above my head and they plugged in my headphones so I could focus on something other than the horrific drilling sound in my skull, so that was a lovely little feature they have for nervous patients such as myself. I will be coming back here for regular cleanings and checkups; I've never had a dentist that I felt comfortable enough to see on a regular basis which is probably why I had this tooth issue in the first place. I like this place, as long as the main dentist is the one doing the work. I am giving a 5 star for overall professionalism but I was worked on by someone who was covering for the main doctor. he was rushed and didn't do a thorough job. Otherwise, staff have been very professional. read more

The nurses and assistants were lovely, and helped to calm my nerves. The main procedure was having a molar removed; I had other work done, but I wasn't given a record of what actually happened. They just told my boyfriend, who was there to pick me up, that they did "everything." My mouth was in pain after the procedure, and I told the dentist, but he brushed it off, telling me it was because my jaw had been open for a while. This was not that kind of pain. The next day the pain was worse, and last night into this morning it's unbearable. I couldn't sleep and when I did, I had nightmares. The entire left side of my face is pulsating and radiating pain, it's even reached my front teeth and left ear. My gums are under so much pressure and pain they feel like they'll explode. It's that deep, pulsing, strong, embedded bone pain that prevents one from being able to focus on anything else. And my dentist doesn't believe me that I'm suffering. It's a terrible feeling, on top of horrible physical pain. Take three Aleeve, he says. You'll be fine, he says. I'm in tears and I'm going to have to miss a job interview this afternoon because it hurts a lot worse when I move and/or talk. If you want a condescending dentist that doesn't value your input as a patient, then this guy is for you. Otherwise, run in the other direction. read more

The front desk staff were very accommodating when I needed to change days, and they scheduled me for the very next day. I have been to Highline Dental a few times in the last couple months for a cleaning, fillings, and then fitted for a mouth guard. All of my experiences have been consistently good. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and professional. The reason for 4 stars is just due to my experience at my filling appointment where I was a little disappointed in the lack of communication during the process. I explained that it was my first time having fillings. I didn't know what to expect so there were a few times I was left guessing if they were completed or how my teeth should be feeling. In the end, everything was fine and they took care of the task. I trust they did well, as I haven't had any problems since. I just prefer more communication than not. I will definitely be returning as I trust their skills and care for us as patients. My husband has always been pleased with his experiences there. read more

Dishonest! If you have Medicaid they will perform unnecessary work on your teeth so they can make more money! I would never recommend Highline Dental to anyone! They are very deceiving! They will get you scheduled for wisdom teeth extraction but once you get there, the Dentist will tell you there is not enough time to perform the procedure so he will just fix your cavity so you will need to come back again next time for wisdom teeth extraction. I had just visited my regular Dentist less than 6 months ago and she cleaned and examined my teeth and told me everything was fine. I brush my teeth 2 , 3 times a day, I floss at least once a day and I don't even eat sweets. I take care of my self and my teeth. Whenever I go in for my routine cleaning and checkups my Dentist tells me I am doing very well taking care of my teeth. The only reason I didn't go to my regular dentist for wisdom teeth extraction was because she does not perform these procedure in her office. read more

I'm not from the area, but had to come in here for some emergency dental work and got a recommendation from a local friend. So I saw Dr. Neda, and WOW, I really wish I lived here! She was very intelligent, friendly, informative about the procedures I had to do, and takes a conservative, gentle approach that saves you from doing unnecessary dental work. On that note, my friend who referred me also mentioned that she's fantastic with kids, and I can totally see that as well. Would highly highly recommend, too bad I can't go here regularly. read more

The dentist is great, but the business office has major issues!!! If you set up a payment plan just be aware that they do NOT run your credit card immediately if you are paying over the phone as I found out the hard way!! They will write down your credit card number and run it "whenever they have time in the day" as one of the front desk receptionists (Kim) told me when I asked her why my payment had not posted to my account the previous day when I called to make a payment. This is not the first payment issue I have had with these people, but one of many and I'll tell you about this one because it is the worst one of all!!! She gave some lame excuse stating that my card was declined and that I should check the funds, which I had to let her know I had plenty of funds in my account, which was the reason I was calling their office back to see why the payment had not posted to my account. When I asked her why they had not called me to let me know that the card was "supposedly declined" she stated that "they only run the cards whenever they have time in the day to take care of them at the front desk where the machine is at." I then proceeded to ask her if they had written my credit card number down on a piece of paper, and she stated that she had written it down for the reason she just explained to me about being pressed for time during the day to be running up to the front area where the machine was to run the cards. She stated she still had my card number if I wanted to verify the information with her to again run the card, but again it would only be "whenever they had time to run the card"...WHAT!!?? When I expressed my anger about them writing down my personal credit card information to run at a later time Kim then stated "that they shred all papers with important information each night and that my information is safe" and she also stated that "she did not have time to go back and forth with me on this subject!" and put me on an abrupt hold. She claims they shred papers each night, but already told me a minute before that that she still has my information written down if I want to re-verify it and run again!! Needless to say these people will lie to cover whatever process inefficiencies and laziness they keep up in their business office, they are rude, they try to shift the problem on you as if it is your fault, and they NEVER APOLOGIZE!! This is not the first payment related issue I have had with this dentist office, which includes laziness on their part due to me always having to track someone down to take the money for services they rendered and make sure they process the payments after giving them all the information they need to take care of the balance. They have outdated systems and outdated methods for handling customers and their payments, and no customer service skills!! Now I have to go in person to make sure that they run my card in front of me because they cannot be trusted!! Beware!!! read more
