Feels like a sleezy operation to me. Engaging their services a few years back, and then involved taking an impression. The impression was stored retrieved and made another purchase and then later the impression was thrown out without my notice. Very little care to fix the problem or even address it when promises were made to investigate it on their half, they never returned the call that they promised. I would stay away from this operation is it doesn't seem ethical and I think it's the end of its leg. It's in the heart of downtown Denver and the parking is awful. They're better choices in my opinion. An empathic and straight forward communication is important to me. read more

I had an early morning dental appointment and unfortunately left before any treatment was completed due to an extremely uncomfortable experience with the hygienist. She struggled to operate the X-ray machine for over 25 minutes and appeared visibly flustered, yet no cleaning had begun. When I politely asked which X-ray was being taken, she seemed irritated by the question. Without asking about my dental history or the purpose of my visit, I proactively explained that I have had bonding on my two front teeth over the years due to soft enamel. Her response was abrupt and dismissive, stating that there was "no way" a dentist would perform bonding until I addressed teeth grinding. When I explained that previous chipping occurred from eating, she flatly contradicted me and insisted that was impossible, offering no professional explanation or empathy. The interaction felt confrontational and unprofessional, and I ultimately chose to leave the appointment. I have never walked out of a medical appointment or left a negative review before, but the lack of professionalism and poor communication made this experience unacceptable. I had a dental issue created by another dentist. That dentist had done a second root canal on a tooth.. which I'm not quite sure is actually a thing, but then said I needed a bridge. A severe infection resulted from the first surgery to facilitate the bridge (taking out a perfectly good tooth in the process). I'd been to Dr. Radz many years ago, and decided to return in hopes of correcting this situation. Everything was great, from the dental assistant, named "J" to Dr. Radz, to the office staff. They did a great job of assuaging my new-found trauma-based dental anxiety. The work they did wasn't cheap, but the result was excellent, starting with treating the infection, all the way through follow-up visits and subsequent cleanings. The reasons I started, then stopped going to Dr. Radz many years ago: I initially went because I asked a dental surgeon who the best dentist in Colorado was. I'd stopped going because I lived over an hour away and they didn't take my insurance. I'm glad I went back and won't be going anywhere else unless/until I absolutely have to. read more

An Absolute Nightmare at Denver Place Dentistry During my teeth brightening session this month, the dental assistant seemed to be having a bad day. During the process of removing the resin from my gums, she poked my gums with a sharp tool, causing significant pain and heavy bleeding. She pressed a swab to my bleeding gums without informing me until I realized something was wrong. It took several minutes for her to stop the bleeding, and I was eager to leave. As I was heading out, the receptionist reminded the dental assistant that I had paid for dental trays. Despite my gut feeling telling me to leave, I decided to get the impression done to avoid returning. The dental assistant was visibly annoyed and performed a very painful tooth impression. A couple of weeks later, I returned to pick up the trays. The receptionist handed me the kit without checking if the trays fit or opening the case. That evening at home, I opened the case and tried the bottom tray, but it did not fit; it was then I realized the bottom tray had an odd impression and appeared used, with some yellowish matter inside. The realization that I had put this disgusting tray in my mouth nearly made me sick. While mistakes can happen, this incident felt deliberate. The injury to my gums, the painful impression, and the used trays suggest a complete disregard for patient care and hygiene. The receptionist and hygienist from Denver Place Dentistry are incredible people. They made space for me on short notice for a second opinion, when another dentist told me I had LATE STAGE periodontal disease and needed $2000 in specialized treatment. That didn't match at all with my own assessment / research, but nonetheless you're going to be anxious because you trust your doctor. The next day, I had to call over 100 dentist offices to schedule an appointment that day (my insurance was running out). Denver Place Dentistry not only had space, but they heard out my situation and offered me a second opinion for free. I really appreciate having just lost my job. The hygienist walked me thru her measurements and what they mean (instead of using scare tactics and hiding information). Turns out, the 4/5s the last dentist measured were mostly 1/2s, and I just needed a simple cleaning. This diagnosis was confirmed by a 3rd dentist I visited the following day. At this office, I learned a ton about gum health and felt empowered to take care of my teeth, after nearly losing all faith in the dental profession just 24 hrs earlier. I've had some pretty bad experiences with Dentists in the past, overcharging, doing poor quality work, and trying to sell me unnecessary procedures. Not in this office. I went to Doctor Dillow and am highly impressed with her techniques and overall care. She tells you exactly how she can help and really follows through with high quality results. The fees this office charges are reasonable, and they work well with my insurance. I can tell the rest of the staff at this practice also have a lot of respect for Doctor Dillow's work. Rude receptionist and dental assistant. The dental hygienist who whitened my teeth yelled at me when my debit card didn't go through, saying really loud and angry "you probably don't have enough money on your debit card to pay!" Very embarrassing. I could easily afford their services but won't be going back and giving them my hard earned money due to fat rude dental hygienist. It looks likes it's been about 2 years since the last review of this dental practice. Well fortunately, I am a fan. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Dr. Radz during my cleaning visit because he was out of town teaching other students at a conference. But after the treatment I received from his staff, I'm excited to meet him. I got a little lost coming into the building but after a call to the receptionist, I was able to find my way. Once I made it in, I was warmly greeted by 2 ladies at the desk. They took my insurance card and the hygienist whisked me to her chair in the back. The hygienist was great and thorough. I always hate eating after a cleaning because my teeth feel so good. I am also impressed with the whitening kit I got after my cleaning. It was part of the treatment. Very conveniently located downtown, and they take Delta dental insurance. I come here for my 6 month cleanings, which is great because of lgreat dental hygienists who work here. However, the waiting area is what you would expect of a family dentist in a strip mall. My contact with the dentist Dr. Radz has always been pretty minimal, I'm sure he's a good cosmetic dentist but I go to another practice for my procedures because I don't feel like he cares about his patients. read more

Worst costumer service. I have been going here for 3 years and recommended probably 15 people. They do not give you reminders of your appointments you set 6 months ahead. If you confirm it a month or two ahead, they will not call, text, or email you have another appointment. They say that the insurance covers everything and then you get a bill in the mail for something. How can you tell us it is one price and then tell us it's another price after we get it done. Make sure you get numbers in an email before you do a procedure. Also the front desk ladies are the rudest people I have ever met. I would not reccomend coming here and I have gone here for 3 years. If you read my original review of Cosmetic Dentistry, you know how much I don't like going to the dentist. But apparently I scheduled myself to get a cavity filled in October so I had to go back. I must say, if it's possible to have a pleasant cavity-filling experience, it happened here. My cavity was pretty tiny, so I only needed a topical anesthetic, no shots necessary. (I was happy to avoid the drooling and numbness involved with that.) Dr. Radz spent maybe 5 minutes drilling and filling, the tech finished the work, and I swear I was in and out of there in 20 minutes or less from walking in the door, to paying and walking out the door. I even asked the tech if I could have another fabulous toothbrush, and although I'm sure it was a strange request, she humored me. Tip: if you give them your email addy, they'll email you reminders about upcoming appointments. Groovy. Also, they are super proactive about calling your insurance company, so you know the costs up front. Also, I had to reschedule my appointment because I had the flu, and they were totally cool about it - no scolding, or threats to charge me a missed appointment fee. Yay. read more

Cosmetic Dentistry of CO is by far the best in Colorado. Dr. Radz and his entire team are some of the nicest people I've met and so incredibly genuine. They will make you feel special just going in for a cleaning. I recently had some major work done (3 new crowns and 5 veneers) and Dr Radz made my teeth look more beautiful than I ever imagined. I started crying once I was able to look in the mirror. I've had crowns on my incisors for 16 yrs and they have never looked just right. For years I've been self conscious about them, afraid people would notice if I smiled too big; but Dr Radz made them look better than before my accident. So I had an appointment last week and they called me the day before my appointment to confirm it. I called them backed and talked to the receptionist and confirmed my appointment. The next morning they call me and tell me that since no one called them to confirm the appointment I'd have to reschedule. The day before my reschedule i got a text confirming that my appointment was the next day (no one called for a confirmation). I show up for my appointment the next day and get told that since I didn't answer the call (which they didn't make) to confirm the appointment I would have to reschedule. We went to Dr. Radz office after having my fiancé's veneer come off twice! It first came off earlier in the week and we had it repaired at a tiny office near Colorado Springs. This time we came here and they really took their time with making sure it wouldn't be coming off anytime soon! It was also slightly cheaper than our initial repair. Veronica, made sure to remove all the old cement from the veneer and his tooth, and was very thorough with her process. At every attempt to go here, there has been nothing but issues. From the initial set up, to them not having their correct address listed on their website, to the rude dental assistant, to the receptionist that couldn't even give me the correct address when I called. And then being told I would have to reschedule after not being able to find the office. After quoting a very high price that I agreed to, they sent me mail firing me as a patient because I had to reschedule due to the periodontist making me extremely nervous about what needs to be done. I had a couple of appointments at this office and their billing department took 10 months to submit my claim to insurance. They made a mistake in the process and the claim was never accepted by insurance. By the time I was informed of this issue it was too late to submit the claim and I was stuck paying a bill for a procedure that was supposed to be covered. While I was in communication with the office on this subject, I found that there was very little concern for my situation and not once anyone apologized for putting me in this position. I have never run into such a problem before with any dentist or any medical office and frankly was absolutely taken aback with a lack of professionalism, understanding and any sort of remorse for a clear mishap on the part of Cosmetic Dentistry of Colorado. I ended up paying potentially 10 times for the simple service I could have received at any dentist that does even a bare minimum for their clients. I would have understood the mistake itself, but the way it was dealt with and the way the staff dismissed me, tells me this is more of a norm, than an exception. read more

I enjoyed my dental checkups, and the hygenists are first rate. But -- and this is a big BUT -- I paid $132 cash for my checkup, and 14 months later received a letter stating that my bill had not been paid. No prior contact from them! Who keeps a cash receipt for 14 months? Not too many people. The letter also stated that they had contacted the insurance company -- but I have never had or used dental insurance. What an easy way to create an enemy, which they did. Waiting for resolution, but this is just about the easiest way to make someone an ex-client. read more

So while I can't really comment on the actual practices once you become a patient. I would forewarn anyone that is interested in scheduling a consultation. I have been looking for a dentist to repair some dental work I had done years ago since I just relocated to Denver. I found this practice and scheduled a consultation to see the cost and if this is an office I would like to use. The staff and the dentist were all very nice. I was a bit shocked though when I was leaving my consultation (which mind you was basically 2 minutes with the dentist so that they could tell me it would cost 11k) and no actual work or dentistry was done. Then they handed me an invoice for 100$. I was actually shocked. Nobody had mentioned prior to visiting that there was a 100$ consultation fee, shame on me for not asking but I would have never dreamed it was 100$ for a quote. So don't let my mistake become yours, otherwise they seem like a pretty nice bunch. read more

I had an initial consultation with Dr. Radz last year to redo my twenty-five year old upper crowns and veneers which were discolored and aged. Dr. Radz immediately recognized that in order to improve my smile, I needed to first get periodontal work (crown lengthening) to even out my gumline. Dr. Radz referred me to Dr. Gregory Farthing who did an excellent job on the gum surgery which then prepared me for the next step of redoing the crowns and veneers. Dr. Radz and his staff worked tirelessly and patiently to get the best possible result in improving my smile. His downtown state of the art office is a warm and friendly place where the employees are knowledgeable and helpful in all respects. Dr. Radz and his assistant Tammy listened carefully to my concerns and wishes regarding the contour, proportionality and color of the veneers and crowns. Although spending many hours in a dental chair is not much fun for anyone, Dr. Radz and Tammy are a great team and they made this entire process painless and comfortable for me. The temporary teeth which Dr. Radz made in his office were simply gorgeous and had me smiling broadly right after the procedure. My new permanent smile is a huge improvement from my previous smile and was well worth the time and money required to accomplish this result. If you like being overcharged and dealing with a rude office manager, this place is for you. After spending $10,000 for various cosmetic repairs, one crown (the same one) falls out at least once a year (original tooth excessively shaved and lacks the surface area for effective adhesion). Dr. Radz has been good about reattaching the crown at no cost. This has been necessary more than 5 times. During the last event (crown had to be retrieved from a drain), there was no indication that the office would begin charging for their mistake until a staff member called weeks later asking for insurance information. After an additional few weeks, we received a bill. The office not only received payment from the insurance company but is requiring an additional payment that is more than what the insurance company paid. After contacting our regular dentist to inquire about a typical estimate to do this type of work, it was revealed that Dr. Ratz's office charges 2.5 times the normal rate. After attempting to calmly speak with the office about the situation, they would have none of it. They insisted on full payment without negotiation. This could have been avoided if the office indicated that this was a chargeable procedure As a result, Dr. Radz's office would get no stars for their behavior and we recommend that you take your business elsewhere. read more

I slipped on a hardwood floor and knocked my two front teeth out three years ago, so I tried to find the best cosmetic dentistry in Colorado because my teeth are naturally straight and white and I would have never needed a crown or veneer otherwise. The process took a whole year due to how off they were on matching my natural teeth to the fake ones because they kept receiving big, bulky, and yellow teeth from their common in NY, yet continued to insert them in my mouth despite me telling them I could tell they would not be a correct and natural match. It took them gluing a pair permanently in my mouth for them to realize how yellow and big they were in comparison to my other teeth. The process of inserting new teeth and taking ones out, not to mention, was extremely painful every time that I had tears coming down my face (peers I know who have gotten veneers have said there should be no pain whatsoever). Dr. Radz would put about 2 shots on each side of my gums which hurt like hell, yet I still felt excruciating pain throughout the process and it was no secret because I literally would be crying. Once I finally got some that looked decent, but still not up to my standard, I was so done with the process that I just decided to be done with it. They told me that if anything happened to them in the next couple years I had warranty on them, something now they deny they ever said. Six months ago while I was studying abroad WHILE DENTAL FLOSSING my veneer chipped on the side; I was out of the country, but called to make an appointment upon returning. Once I was back in the country, I got a letter from their office saying since I missed the appointment and I had to go elsewhere to correct the veneers and for all other dental care (I never got a remainder). They have never been my primary dental service because of how rude not only the Dr., but the whole staff and even the phone operator is. When I called and told the receptionist of my teeth dilemma and why I accidentally missed one of the 9 appointments I've had with them she was so rude and didn't offer any help, but instead gave me attitude and said someone misinformed you about the veneer warranty policy there is nothing we can do for you at this time. Even though the letter I received said "we can help you with emergencies for the next 30 days). If a chipped veneer on a tooth I have a root canal is not a teeth emergency then what is?? I tell you people this because I looked at Yelp to find this place and unfortunately, didn't listen to the bad comments enough. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. I really enjoy going to Cosmetic Dentistry for diagnostic & preventive care. I have had a few fillings done by them and I can say that they do a great job in basic restorative. However, any restorative work that you get done at Cosmetic Dentistry will be pricey, if not for you, then certainly for your insurance company. Because of my particular insurance, I personally could have saved hundreds of dollars if I had done more research and gone somewhere else. According to information provided by my insurance company, Cosmetic Dentistry received a score of "3.8 / 10" under affordability because of "High prices". So if you take decent care of your teeth, love ballin' out of control, and/or have an insurance company that loves dishin' out the dough, then Cosmetic Dentistry is the place for you! However, if you end up going through a deep depression and decide to only fuel your body with sour patch kids and chocolate milk, check with your insurance company to see if they will cover restorative work at the particular dental office that you wish to get your oral work done. When I did write a review of my experience at Cosmetic Dentistry, I was contacted shortly after by my dentist with an apology, some explanation of the current situation, and a respectful desire to remedy the situation.
