    Nice little aquarium
    Alisha B.

Explore this small aquarium featuring 250 different marine species native to the Puget Sound in 15 tanks that continuously circulate the seawater from below the pier! Enjoy a couple of large open touch tanks, situated low enough for kids to see and interact with "everyone". Get to know the locals! Touching is encouraged and if you're really lucky, you can watch the Highline College staff feeding the critters. Watching a sea star slowly transport a bit of fish along hundreds of tiny tube feet towards its middle is mesmerizing. The whale skeleton in the entrance puts things into perspective! We love it---kids, grandparents, parents.... and enjoy eating lunch on the beach or at the park after. The adjacent boardwalk is also a family fav! HOURS- Saturday 10-2

Yes, it's a free aquarium, but I was really disappointed. There is a small walk through area with a whale skeleton and then you head outside to the small shack that hold the "aquarium." It's really a few fish tanks that look very unkept with a few native Sound species. They are only open a short window on Saturdays and I'm sad this volunteer run program wasn't very clean or informative.

For a completely free aquarium... it's absolutely Amazing! Volunteer educators who love the ocean and want to provide the best experience for you! It's amazing!

This a free aquarium right along Redondo beach! It's a small aquarium, so don't expect it to be like the Seattle Aquarium. In the front there is a large skeleton for a whale and preserved sea life in bottles. Walking on the boardwalk in the back, there are several takes of sea life, fishes, jelly fishes, sea slugs, octopus, and many more! The tanks look like they should get a clean, but still very interesting to see! There was a live TV of divers and a camera of the underwater! There's a touch tank for kids and adults! The volunteers are awesome and super nice!

Amazing! Interactive aquarium/petting zoo/museum. I had so much fun here, and I'm an adult. The sea life was great. Huge, huge collection of marine species locally found in the sound. Something so magical about being on the dock over the sea life interacting with it above. There are two buildings on the dock. One was the aquarium and the first was the Main museum with displays and exhibits. Both are fairly small, but packed with tons of entertainment. We spent about an hour here, easily. The sea animals are well kept by the friendly and knowledgable volunteers. I was welcomed to touch and feel live sea stars and anemones. So weird! We enjoyed the jelly fish display. They were luminescent and lit up by black lights. Their new "baby" octopus was so cute! She was huge and is only going to get larger. It's free and open on Saturdays from 10am-2pm. Donations are welcome :)

Very cool place & free until 2pm on Saturday's!Took my kids & they loved it. There are two touch tanks & a handful of tanks with lots of stuff to look at. They had an octopus in one that kept going back & forth in her tank it was awesome. Only reason for the 4 stars is because of how small it is.

Really cute place. During the week, the MaST is the marine bio classroom of Highline College. On Saturdays, it's a public aquarium, filled with thousands of Puget Sound animals and even a huge whale skeleton! Great place for kids, and it's FREE! Definitely worth the trip down to (gorgeous) Redondo Beach. Grab a snack or drink at Salty's on your way out. And don't miss the MaST's free events, like public science lectures, volunteer opportunities, virtual scuba dives, holiday festivals, and more!

Very cool free aquarium. Like the views, tide pools, and the few displays they have. Recommend for a quick visit.

My husband had to keep calling them to see what was going on. We couldn't run the water for THREE WEEKS! They couldn't locate the grinder. Imagine coming back home middle of the night after an away trip to find that the home was freezing cold in the 30s because the mini-split units were suddenly were no longer working and emitting any heat. The morning and a few hours after settling back at home, I was determined to find any repair services that had any availability to come take a look at mini-split units that went down who knew when and how long it had been down. After calling 10+ contractors who told me they either did not do the work I needed, did not have same day service availability or even had availability a few weeks out, I finally hit a jackpot with Daniels Plumbing, Heating and AC. My experience with Daniel (the assigned HVAC tech to my home) at Daniels Plumbing, Heating and AC had been very positive from the start to finish. The call operator was able to help assign me to a technician who would be able to come out the same day in the afternoon/evening. I was pretty nervous about getting ghosted with technician not showing up because the 4-hour timeslot was 1-5pm and if they decided not to show up, it would have been a real issue for me with the weather slated to plummet to low 20s and with absolutely no heat at home and no certainty when a person could fix, let alone diagnose the problem my minisplit had. But, everything was solved when Daniel called to let me know he was on the way to my home within the promised time window. When Daniel arrived, he asked me a few questions and to show him the problems and all the inside/outside units I had at home..and promptly got to work. Within 30 min of him arriving, Daniel was able to diagnose the problem and resolve the issue for me...and tada, the heat function for my minisplits were working again and warming up my home. I also felt grateful that the business was not only quick, reliable but also honest and had high integrity. Daniel did not overcharge me once he identified the issue with my minisplit units. He also was prompt and informative in his gameplan on how he approached diagnosing and fixing the problem. I was very grateful (and pleasantly surprise to have heat available at home in no time) for his help and the honesty+integrity he demonstrated throughout my interaction with him. Because of this, I would likely use their services again in the future if I have any HVAC issues.

Our server, Lyndsay, was absolutely AMAZING and truly made our entire experience! From the moment we sat down, she was warm, welcoming, attentive, and incredibly engaging. She was attentive without ever being overbearing, had such a great sense of humor, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout the entire evening. You can tell she takes pride in what she does and genuinely enjoys creating a memorable experience for her guests. Service like hers is what turns a great dinner into an exceptional one! Now the food... AMAZING! We had the Brussels sprouts, popcorn shrimp with the aioli sauce, Australian lamb, steak trio, lobster bisque, and butter cake. Everything was delicious, but that popcorn shrimp with the aioli sauce deserves its own moment! SO GOOD! The lobster bisque was rich and flavorful, the meats were cooked beautifully, and the butter cake was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. The ambiance was beautiful and created the perfect atmosphere for dinner. Between the food, atmosphere, and Lyndsay's outstanding service, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will absolutely be returning, and Lyndsay will 100% be requested as our server. She is truly an asset to Daniel's Broiler and deserves all the recognition. If you dine here and have the pleasure of having Lyndsay take care of you, you're in excellent hands!

It was such a nice touch. Most folks here range from friend groups, business meetings, lots of dates, celebrations, and even just casual walk-ins. We understood why locals talk this place up so much. It really is a PNW gem. The steaks were amazing, cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth, and worth the price tag in my opinion. The service was also amazing and friendly. The restaurant feels luxe but not too stuffy, which is what we were expecting. This place is surprisingly good for casual walk-ins. It's what you make of it, I think, and there are very few places that can have such a high range. We'll definitely be back!

Why am I paying this extra amount to the restaurant then? I'd MUCH rather it goes to the staff! How about you pay your employees a fair amount WITHOUT this surcharge. No restaurant that does this will get above 2 stars for me. The food is solid, nothing that special but not bad either. We've tried various steaks (dine in, wouldn't recommend this for dockside), burgers, steak sandwich (not bad dockside!), soups, salads (very meh) and kids meals. All just fine but you're really paying the up charge for the venue/location. A fun stop from a boat but I'd skip it otherwise.
