I was craving a good steak and seafood and Daniel's Broiler sounded like a good option. There's a few parking spaces for restaurant guests, but the rest of parking you had to pay. We were able to grab the last reserved parking spot. We didn't make reservations but we were able to be sat down within a few minutes. I liked that they had their steaks on display so we can see the marble . We were sat next to the window over looking the pier. We saw the local raccoons run around. We started off with the bacon wrapped scallop and jumbo prawn. The table also had a couple bread rolls and salted butter and I had the lavender martini. The bacon wrapped scallops were cooked perfectly. The bacon was thin , yet not over cooked and crispy, which paired well with the scallops. The scallops were flaky and tender. The jumbo prawn were huge, the avocado wasn't necessary. I ordered the Wagyu ribeye cooked medium rare and the garlic mashed potatoes. My partner ordered the Daniel's filet mignon, cooked medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes. Upon delivery of our steaks , they had us cut into the middle for doneness. My ribeye was delicious, as well as the mashed potato. My partners filet mignon was burnt. Which was unfortunate because the middle was a nice rare. I tried a piece of his filet mignon, and I could smell the burnt steak and it tasted bitter from being burnt. Overall, the scallops, ribeye and mashed potatoes were great. But for the price , it was very very spendy, especially to get a filet mignon that was burnt.

So stoked to have Daniel's open on Thanksgiving and the course menu was wonderful and allowed us to relax and enjoy a non-stressed dinner! Our server was totally helpful and made the experience that much better too. For starters they offered a nice relish tray and of course we had a nice bottle of wine - Diet Coke for me as the DD for the night - to go with dinner. The dinner started off with their signature chowder followed by a filet mignon and two New York steaks with their famous garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini. We finished off the night with a couple awesome slices of cheesecakes and a pumpkin pie too. Love the ambiance of the SLU location with a great view of Lake Union and the surrounding cityscape. All in all we'll be back again for Thanksgiving and I'm sure several times in between! A hat tip to Daniel's!

Our company rented out one of the private rooms here for a dinner. Drinks were pretty bad here was the consensus of most of my coworkers. My steak was pretty rare despite requesting medium well. Vibes were alright, definitely gives a fancy feeling, but in an old school way. Not sure what a regular dining experience would be like here, but I probably won't be back to try.

Daniel's broiler to me is like your classic fancified steakhouse. The ambiance just has that extra oomph due to being situated on the forefront of slu. Don't get me wrong, the views enhance the experience, but where it falls short would be the food itself. I can only judge based off the cocktails, sides and entrees I was able to try. The filet mignon ordered medium rare I received wasn't as succulent as other filets I've had at other locations. The meaty flavor quality was decent but couldn't stand on its own. Definitely needed a supporting cast like the mashed potatoes and broccolini. I actually enjoyed the mashed potatoes. I think the grated Parmesan was a nice touch of funk and flavor. Broccoli had a nice snap/crunch to help with the dynamics of the meal. Dinner rolls were served toasty and warm. Great soft interior with a good solid crust on the outside. The salad was also solid I enjoyed the espresso martini that was made for me. Not a menu item but can request to have it made. The Manhattan was a cocktail menu item better than their old fashion. Overall I would rate this place 3.5-3.8 I do think it warrants a visit because my experience might differ from anyone else's.

Clearly Daniel's is one of the best steakhouses in Seattle. So, obviously that means you get what you pay for, and it is worth every nickel. From food to service to location, it is top notch. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. They were super tasty and tender. I especially enjoyed the chargrilled taste and the simple but perfect seasoning butter. It was so good that the meat tickled my taste buds. My tummy sung with joy. The veggies and appetizers were amazing and also cooked to perfection. The dessert butter cake was heavenly and moist. We arrived at the opening time, so we had this special place to ourselves for an hour. The ambiance was simply amazing with soft music playing in the background. This place gets busy really fast, therefore I always make reservations well ahead of the day I plan to visit. I also commend the staff. They were all professional and attentive and they made a special occasion that much more sweeter. Our main host was Daniel who was so knowledgeable about the menu. He made excellent recommendations and tended to our every need. Daniel's Lake Union is awesome! I wish I could eat here every single night!!

Daniel's has been on my list to explore for some time. The location stands out with the lively view of Lake Union and the piers with the many beautiful boats, and sunsetting sky (in colors) on a clear day/evening. What better day than Christmas Eve? I opted to park in the handicap spot and found that it's a pay by the 2 hour kind of parking lot. Please note, there's some complimentary Daniel's parking down below, so a short walk up an incline. This was aggressively brought to my attention right upon entry into the restaurant, rather than a hello, how are you, or other greeting. -0.5 For two, we were seated in a booth with a view of a table of 6, and the marina. It was great! The lighting was perfect as the sun set, the lights came up a touch but remained quite cozy. The service was quite stellar until the end, though a tad robotic from the main server. Felipe brought bread and still water - he was great! So kind and funny to chat with momentarily. Our main server was very straightforward and efficient. At the end, we felt rushed to leave and were given the leftovers very quickly with a quick "thank you for dining" and after informing us of the "tipping situation" was long gone, never to be seen from again. Kind of rude, given the overpriced food and low maintenance table. For the food - Appetizers: -popcorn shrimp came in a movie style box with foil. Charming!! It was undercooked, so a bit gummy. The sriracha sauce and lemon aioli were divinely fresh and homemade. Could have sent back but it was busy and slow to begin with. Instead of slow, I'd say relaxing. -ahí tuna was incredibly flavored by the grill and very tender and fresh! These are both happy hour specials so I'll be back to have this again in the bar. There's also a main ahi that looks similar so I would potentially try that if I return. Mains: -I tried the Piedmontese filet and it lacked the meaty forward flavor described to me. It was also quite undercooked (rare instead of medium rare). I normally wouldn't mind but it was kind of strange. It came with just a baked potato that was dry. I expected a piece of broccoli or asparagus. I went elsewhere for Christmas and did get just that but not trying to compare here. -My guest enjoyed the lamb and found it to be larger in portion than expected - until he realized it was very fatty. We all know how lamb can be, but I believe this one was on the fattier than usual side. It tasted great and came with mashed potatoes. +side of the creamed corn was good, not a standout but worked well with our dishes. Dessert: crème brûlée was a good size and good. Wine: roerder estate brut for $60 felt like a ripoff. Overall: felt like everything was a touch overpriced, service was good and helpful in understanding the menu for a first timer. Recommendations (lamb and ahi) were superb. Front desk could work on demeanor and outfit choices, one gal could barely breathe and just felt underdressed for the vibe this restaurant gives. Though beautiful, just not what I'd expect to see here. Will I return? Maybe for happy hour, or if someone invites me I would aim for a plate vs a steak. There are better steaks around town that are priced much more competitively than here.

Attentive service, great views, convenient parking, everything on the menu is delicious! Please remember to pay your parking fee at the reception desk otherwise you'll be surprised with the $62 ticket when you go out to your car after you eat!

We went to Daniel's Broiler, after an afternoon on the water and it hit the spot. The restaurant was surprisingly crowded for a Monday evening but we got our table after a short wait at the bar. The service was quick and attentive. My steak was perfectly done and I thought that the server inviting me to cut into it to make sure it met my expectations was a nice touch. The sides were good but none really stood out. The only thing I found odd was how eager the staff seemed to clear the table. In a couple of instances, food that we were still working on disappeared. Overall, it was a great experience and I expect that we will be back.

Daniel's has been on the Seattle "To Do " list for over 20 years, so I won't leave a negative review I'll just do the neighborly thing and offer the gift of feedback. Service is mediocre at best and if I said the food was Hit or Miss- I would only be telling you a half truth. I was surprised to see the once Grande Dame of SLU has fallen so far behind her competitors, even cosmetically. #schwatzbrothers Please don't let this restaurant become just another part of Seattle's Past. Even the interior is exactly the same as 20 years ago. Heartbreaking

    Do they allow wine corkage?

Yes, it's $25 per bottle added to the bill. Often times letting the server trying a taste of your very unique or expensive bottle may get your corkage waived. It's continuing education for them.

Do they have a cancellation fee or no show fee?

Yes if you do a no show and no cancellation within 24 hours

What's the best thing on the menu?

Anything from the grill is great. Prime rib is average, so stick to the grill.

So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean -- no grit, no sand. Whatever they're doing back there, it's working. The brine was full and present in every shell, and the mignonette hit that rare sweet spot of light but actually seasoned. The Winter Old Fashioned? Get it. It was so delicious. Then came the crab Benedict. The side salad alone was worth writing home about -- big, buttery, peppery leaves draped in one of those feather-light vinaigrettes that sounds simple until you try to replicate it at home and realize you can't. But the real star of the entire plate was the potatoes. Crispy outside, genuinely fluffy inside, seasoned with conviction. A masterpiece is not too strong a word. Closed with a glass of pink wine. Was eyeing the bottle with the piglet on the label, but it was bottle-only -- a distinction I find increasingly arbitrary as a former server and bartender. One day that policy will be a relic. Not yet, apparently. Best brunch I've had in Seattle in two years. Highly recommend.
