An instructor Tracey reviewed and kept asking me the services that I requested. I repeated several times /stunned why she seems not have hairstyle expertise in addition student assigned only following her instructions. I never had a bad experience where the service detailed to her and asked her to see another instructor as I never seen this instructor before in the school. She did not perform the services requested stood over student watching student washing my hair no idea what She was doing felt aniety belittled and stunned How badly this instructor Tracie lacked professionalism addressing my concerns. Once student placed me in the area hair put towel ok wet hair I proceeded to manager desk with wet hair. Manager told me to wait she had other customers. The service still have no idea what she did on my hair prior to wash. No services requested were done and yes her had no clue except talk down to Me. I took a chair still with wet hair then I approached by school director Ashley Reprimanded how I broke student spirit ? The student had no clue what service to do ! I told Ashley this is not the service requested the teacher had no knowledge of hair services and never treated so unprofessionally. I am stunned a director would speak to me in public in front of the whole salon with students customers/did not speak to me privately. I was then told by manager that I would have hair dried by another student and Had to ask new student assigned to flatten hair As again I detailed services requests repeatedly to teacher director. The student dried hair and and quick straighten. I was told after I paid left students that I would need to come back for all services requested at no charge/no apology !! That next Thursday appt there for 4 hours new student instructor I knew all services Were completed and the instructor advised cutting hair 2 inches I was not happy agreed. After all services completed. I was told by manager that there was no charge. I told the manager that I still wanted to give student tip and that I would back to give cash. I came back manager please forward to student. I stated that I would be back for condition next time. I was told by manager that there would not be a next time that Management made decisions on incident with instructor prior appointment. ??? I was mislead on coming back for the services requested and manager stated prior instructor was in Florida dud not document the Roots lightened blonde over entire head of hair condition flatten iron. I am stunned over this misconduct of instructor Tracie initially and lack of professionalism and ethics of director Ashley. Only manager Kerry is the best ! Had to be the messenger To tell me no longer could go to school services. I would never recommend Paul Mitchell for students and customers.

This was years ago. Second complaint another student left me while she went to the Finance office and Miss Karen was livid about it. Third complaint was a few weeks ago. I had asked for low and high lights and ended up with grayish tones throughout my hair so upon calling that Monday to ask if they could fix it, Miss Marie told me it's a school and I said what does that have to do with anything so I went in on Thursday and they put a blonde toner in and of course it was better than nothing compared to the way I left so beware if you even speak up about the service because you're not pleased, you will be asked to never come back, this is very unprofessional and if it's a school, then the students would have to learn just as if they worked in a real Salon, etc.. I had never left a review before because I didn't think it was necessary. I thought the School was handling it, but then I was told they were taking notes about me very childish and unprofessional upon trying to call the owner Mr. G who owns a very successful business in Rocky Hill he never returned my phone calls just had his reception take information and never got back to me! I also left an email for Martin G and he never responded. I'm not the first do your due diligence and gore reviews all over other platforms. Another supervisor's comment that a roller was "pissing" her off and blaming a parent for a child's hair condition was inappropriate. When I raised concerns about questionable conduct, I was labeled rude. Respect, not blame, should guide service. Lead by example & inform yourself about disclosures submitted upon scheduling before accusing customers for shortcomings. Not the back to school mommy and me anticipated.

On my last day before graduation my car tire was slashed (luckily i have run flats) and after two weeks of saying they'd provide footage, they refused. I didn't have issues with anyone other than the teachers. Save your money and go somewhere else. This place is a joke & so is everyone who works there.

I took this class as part of an orientation for a new job. For example, he told students to sign in when they arrived, but neglected to tell them where the sign in sheet was (right in front of him!). So he let people wander around the classroom looking for the paper until he bluntly told them where it was. After they signed in, he loudly asked if they has signed both pages, never mentioning that two pages existed. He also gave little encouragement, only correction. A good teacher explains concepts from part to whole, balancing correction with praise. This teacher seemed to prefer an old school, authoritarian approach.
