We stopped by Highway 21 in Beaufort SC on our way to Key West. The seafood was exceptional and at a super affordable price! We picked up fresh shrimp, oysters and crab cakes! When we got to our campsite in Savannah GA we cooked all of the seafood and had superb dinner! Highly recommend you stop by and get the best seafood from Highway 21!

Great selection of fresh shrimp in all sizes with heads on and off. They also have a fine collection of oysters, crabs and fish. Great prices, too. They probably had more but I had sensory overload!! This will be my seafood market from now on

Top notch and recommend for fresh seafood on the GO! We were on our way out of town and wanted one last hurrah and three residents and two visitors recommended we stop at HWY 21 Market. Great prices and outstanding service. We had choices galore and settled on a single bushel of oysters - the cluster bag was too big for our cooler ;-) upgrading to a bigger cooler next time. We also secured a sheepshead and a bundle or scallops. You cannot beat the freshness and prices in my opinion were very reasonable for what we received. We will be making Hwy 21 and its awesome staff a permanent stop on our way in and out of town in low country. Among selection: whiting, tilapia, sheepshead, clams, crabs, shrimp, oysters, conch and many many more. Don't even try to drive by and miss this spot - although you might pass if going by too fast. You won't regret it and consider this a TOP bonus of visiting the area. Glad we took the advice.

What a great little find. Small, medium and large shrimp. Head on shrimp. Mussels, scallops, crab legs. Several different types of fish fillets as well as whole fish. Nothing fancy just allot of seafood. Looks like allot of locals buying from there also.

He asked us how we were thinking of cooking the fish, and what we were making (ie- pan, fish tacos). He then gave us some recommendations and told us about each of the selections. We were impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly he was. We went with the triple tail and it did not disappoint. It was a perfect for blackened fish tacos and cooked quickly. High quality fish and tasty! A great local fish market, will definitely be back.

The store also had some frozen options and there were some souvenirs. The guy at the counter was friendly. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars was the price. I just went to the local fresh fish market at Platt's in Myrtle Beach one month ago, and most prices here were almost DOUBLE what I paid there. My husband and I discussed that the rent is likely much higher on Hilton Head and they likely have a more affluent clientele that affords these prices. I got the cheapest options to take back to Charlotte in my cooler. I bought 1 lb of tuna ($23), 1 lb of XL shrimp ($16), and 20 of their $1 oysters in season. The gentleman generously gave me 24 oysters for $20. He also offered ice for my cooler. Customer service was excellent. I spoke with one of the regular customers while waiting in line and they highly recommended everything. I'm adding a photo of the tuna rice bowl I made. Ignore the fact that I overcooked it, it was my first time. However, the fish tasted excellent. I really liked the Asian cucumbers I made to go with it !

THIS IS MY FOOD WONDERLAND…read more My first time coming across a concept like this where there's ready-made food, cafe, pantry goods, catering options, and more. This is the second time I've been to The Kitchen and I don't even live in South Carolina. I bought around $200 worth of delicious pulled pork baked potatoes, toad pizza, pasta sauce, lasagna, oatmeal crème cookie, peanut butter pie, chicken spaghetti squash, wraps, salads, sides, meatloaf, and more! This is the perfect solution to not wanting to cook but still getting a delicious hot meal ready for the whole family. They have everything in their fridges and freezers, the only issue is trying to keep it all in-stock all the time because the food is just flying off the shelves. Prices may seem steep at first but one "full" container is easily a meal for two people and at around $20, that's a typical price. The convenience, quality, quantity, and variety of items prevails over the cost. I've tried a good number of items and everything has been delicious. Not salty, not too sweet, not heavy or greasy...just perfectly homemade and well-balanced. The cooking instructions are all exactly on point as well. The Kitchen is what every city needs, well-priced, nutritious food that is ready to grab and go. Everyone working inside is very nice, all items are clearly displayed, signs are easy to read, enough space that it doesn't get crowded everywhere. Don't leave without picking up an oatmeal crème pie.
