We stopped by here to get fresh seafood for a nice meal in while visiting HHI. The man working here was incredibly kind, patient and helpful. We bought a few pounds of shrimp (thankfully already peeled for us- I believe an extra charge but very worth it, in my opinion). We also were encouraged to try the corvina fish, which we really enjoyed. Both tasted great on the grill using with the seasonings we purchased here. Such a cute fish market, with amazing service! We asked the man behind the counter what was local, and he said only two fish in the case weren't local! He asked us how we were thinking of cooking the fish, and what we were making (ie- pan, fish tacos). He then gave us some recommendations and told us about each of the selections. We were impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly he was. We went with the triple tail and it did not disappoint. It was a perfect for blackened fish tacos and cooked quickly. Stopped here after reading reviews that this place had local fish and was family owned. They had a nice selection of fresh fish and the quality was excellent. The store also had some frozen options and there were some souvenirs. The guy at the counter was friendly. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars was the price. I just went to the local fresh fish market at Platt's in Myrtle Beach one month ago, and most prices here were almost DOUBLE what I paid there. My husband and I discussed that the rent is likely much higher on Hilton Head and they likely have a more affluent clientele that affords these prices. I got the cheapest options to take back to Charlotte in my cooler. I bought 1 lb of tuna ($23), 1 lb of XL shrimp ($16), and 20 of their $1 oysters in season. The gentleman generously gave me 24 oysters for $20. He also offered ice for my cooler. Customer service was excellent. I spoke with one of the regular customers while waiting in line and they highly recommended everything. I'm adding a photo of the tuna rice bowl I made. Ignore the fact that I overcooked it, it was my first time. However, the fish tasted excellent. I really liked the Asian cucumbers I made to go with it ! read more

Initially I was bummed because there wasn't a wide selection for fresh seafood at the beach. Guy behind the counter said the Halibut was fantastic, so we went with that. It was SO good. They may not have had a huge variety that day, but what they had was delicious read more

Great place for seafood off the Sea Pines circle. Small but offers many fish choices. Some can be expensive by the pound but in line with other fish counters around. Incredible Fresh Shrimp My Godmother was in town for Thanksgiving, and being near the coast, we were craving fresh seafood. We were not disappointed! The shrimp we had were absolutely amazing. Came here after calling and being told they had some exceptionally fresh wahoo. After driving around for a while (the link to the map on yelp is wrong) , we were shocked at how old the fish looked. We left without buying anything. And the prices were a little high as well. In fact, we overheard the couple that left before us commenting how expensive it was for a piece of fish and some shrimp for two meals for the two of them (it was $35)! None of the fish look very good except the shrimp. If you do decide to go, I would type in the address in a different GPS. But I suggest you don't. read more

This is a cute little seafood stop and the staff was very warm and kind. We stopped by in mid-August and bought shrimp and whole blue crab. The shrimp was steamed up and they came out absolutely delicious. They were fresh and had great texture. Unfortunately, upon getting the crab home, we quickly observed that the cleaning process had removed much of the lump crab meat from above the legs. The remaining crab meat had lost all the texture and was either not fresh or had been allowed to sit in water after the cleaning process. It pained us to throw them all away. They were a total waste and a big disappointment. I feel like this place is a good place to get most seafood, but if you are interested in crab you are best having it at a local restaurant. read more

WHOA!!!! What have I been missing here? This place is not easy to find but once you do, boy will you be pleased. What a selection and the quality is the best I have ever had. I purchased fresh oysters in the shell, tuna so dark red it looks purple, stone crab claws (omg, this was the cherry on top for me) and of course fresh shrimp. Everything is so fresh and affordable it seems like I found a true gem for fresh seafood in the area. I will never leave my home headed to HHI without a refrigerator in my vehicle so I can load up on fresh seafood here again. What a great find! Tucked away on HHI, we were glad to find this hidden gem. Very fresh seafood, and some unique varieties. The owners helped us pick out some fish we had never tried (wreck fish) with recommendations on how to prepare it. We found a true gem just steps from Coligny! This family business just opened summer of 2020 with a great mission to support local fishermen, farmers, and artisans. Fantastic store with a great selection of fresh seafood - you will not be disappointed! We tried grouper, scallops, and trigger fish so far and are going back to restock again! They also offer a variety of sealed and frozen fish that you can take home with you - awesome idea for a vacation souvenir! The prices are great, and frankly better than what you would see at local grocery stores. Can't beat the freshly caught factor! Every year at hhi, we love to get local seafood and cook it up for dinner. This was conveniently located close to forest beach where we were staying, unlike a lot of other seafood markets on the island. Without a doubt the best place to buy seafood on Hilton Head Island. Great selection of local fish, including all the ingredients you might need to create a fabulous meal stocked in their store. The friendly, helpful owners are a class act, offering recipes and cooking advice for whatever you want to buy. Prices were lower than other places, and their quality much higher, the fish much fresher and better tasting, and the service was totally professional.
