This place is very cool. Friendly and service orientated, they get you in and out fast. Selection is limited but covers all the basics; shrimp, scallops, grouper, flounder, tuna, snapper. We went for the larger shrimp and scallops. Shrimp were modest in size compared to what we are used to but they were very flavorful. We boiled them up for shrimp cocktails. The scallops were huge. We pan fried in butter with salt, pepper and some Nashville Hot dust. The flavor was old bay, it came thru with every bite. Second trip we got scallops and flounder. Will pan fry both. Nothing like fresh fish while on vacation. Highly recommend without any reservations. My go-to place for fish on the island. Can't miss. read more

Small town feel and the Edisto island is a place that literally makes you slow down. We stopped by edisto seafood to make a dinner in our condo since almost everything was closed on Sunday. We picked up a pound of sea scallops (not locally sourced) and a pound of large shrimp (locally caught). We stayed at Wyndham. First night we got fresh flounder and grilled it at our unit. Another night we got fresh shrimp and made it at our unit. Jimmy does great fishing charters out of the back of the store. We went on an ocean charter a couple years ago and Jimmy put us right on the fish. We reeled in several sharks too, which we released. He filet the fish after the trip and we took back to our unit and grilled them. Fantastic. Bring Cash for the seafood and they even discount it some! read more

Another great seafood market on the island. I love Flowers, and always get great stuff there. Though I think it is fresher, and a slightly better bang for your buck here. This place has been family run since the 60's, and fresh seafood literally comes off the boat, strait to their cooler. The owners are very friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Just ask for a recommendation, and the freshest catch will be wrapped for you. They also get shrimp from the Sarah Jane as the boat literally pulls into the back. The only commercial fishing boat on the island right now. Wahoo is amazingly fresh and flavorful, as are the tuna steaks, and everything else. Great seafood, and great service. One of my favorite things when I am at Edisto Beach is grilling fresh fish or having super-fresh shrimp - and that is what they deliver. So, we stop in to Edisto Seafood at least a couple of times on each of our trips. It is super-convenient and of course, everything is literally fresh off the boat. It can be hit or miss though what they will have when you go in, depends on what was biting that day...and what time you go in. If they don't have what you are looking for one day, go back the next day and chances are, they will have it. If not, they will give you suggestions for the next best thing. So far my favorite things to get here are mahi, tuna, and shrimp, which are all locally caught, not trucked in from somewhere else. read more

Parking is an incredibly difficult challenge due to horrible design and poor maintenance. If another patron is unobservant or plain rude, you can easily get blocked in. read more

I like Flowers Seafood but if given a choice we go here. Prices are better and seriously - I watched them pull the shrimp and fish off the boat and package it up for me! Been Twice this week got the jumbo shrimp and big 3.3 lb grouper filet. We all really enjoyed the fresh seafood it tastes like it just came out of the ocean. The shrimp will make you hate ordering shrimp in restaurants because they will never taste as good! everything here is fresh and of quality. The one thing is the scallops are not local and a bit overpriced because of that; but they are yummy!
