It's in a scenic part of Austin, amongst the hills and close to Lake Travis. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and my favorite was the live music stage set up on top of the bed of a vintage truck outside. For this brewery Steven and I tried one of their beers. We wanted a lighter beer and on the refreshing side since it was a warmer day we were encountering so we got the Dye-It Pils. As the name is a abbreviated in the beer it is a pilsner in beer type and hit the spot nicely. Flavors to enjoy with this beer are a hint of breadiness, crisp, a hint of sour and a clean finish. The beer is light bodied which is perfect for hot weather and bright in color. The taproom for Infamous is cool... it is located in a garage or shed. When we pulled up to it, I wasn't so sure it was the right place when it went to a residential area but found that the brewery was an old house and it was busy that weekend. There was still some parking in the lot and we managed to squeeze in. Seating wise we also managed to squeeze in, the brewery is a converted home and brewing takes up a lot of space; also didn't help that my friend is 6'4 and around 250+ so any place is going to feel cramped. The beer however, is interesting. You can tell that the beers are made how they want it to be made, from the styles to the names, there's a uniqueness and dare I say, joy to it comes through from the staff to the beer itself.

I tried a flight and was impressed across the board--especially the IPA and their rotating small-batch brew, which had great balance and depth without being too heavy. They're clearly doing more than just cranking out the basics here; there's real thought in the brewing. The food truck on site is a big bonus. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries--absolutely hit the spot. Great portions, flavorful, and a perfect match for a cold pint on a warm day. What really sets Bell Springs apart, though, is the atmosphere. It's family-friendly, dog-friendly, and totally unpretentious. You're as likely to see a group of locals playing cards as you are a couple sharing a bottle from the winery next door.
