Are camping at Inks Lake and decided to give the Bear King Brewery a try. It was a hit across the board. We both ordered burgers and I got the brussel sprouts while my husband got onion rings. Everything was made from scratch and Amazon. The garlic aioli perfect. And their own beers were fantastic. I has the Moon Mountain while my husband did the Stigini, a white stout. Both were so good. Loved our visit to Bear King Brewery! We stopped in on a Wednesday and took advantage of the 50% off kids' meal, which was such a great deal. It was a nice little snack, also did a beer flight, and everything was really enjoyable. The slushies were SO good -- the pomegranate something (dark pink slushie) was my favorite -- and the pina colada cider was refreshing and delicious. First visit was years ago, but still a great place for a pint and a meal. Beer variety is good for the beer nerds, and the menu has a little bit of something for any appetite. All the food was tasty and fresh, and they get major points for actual crunchy french fries, not the normal semi limp offerings. Generous portions, don't have a big breakfast if you plan on lunch here. The burger and Texas poutine were very good, and came out from the kitchen quick. Came here with my coworkers. We were a large group but despite that the food came out quick. I tried the bbq sandwich and subbed the fries for a half wedge salad. The sandwich was just ok the beef was not tasty. The salad was really good. I also tried the Brussel sprouts. They were good but did not care for the aioli dressing all over them. I would have preferred it on the side to co trip the amount. The wings needed a little more sauce. I ordered a glass of Prosecco which is on the drink menu as $6 but was charged $10. Our host and server Hayley were delightful & our birria and fish tacos were fantastic. The kiddo had chicken strips but wanted a fish taco after seeing ours! Visited for lunch today. We were in town from Fort Worth and had the dog with us--Brody the lab--it happened to be his birthday! Thus, we figured a pet friendly patio would be nice for everyone including Brody. It was! The patio was great and our waitress was totally awesome. All was perfect. For food, we had burgers and chicken sandwich. The white truffle mushroom burger was fantastic. Highly recommended. And so are the parm truffle fries. Food was all fresh and delicious. This time around, we started off with the onion rings, which could easily feed four. When you get the burger, you'll have the doctor it up with the mustard and mayo sitting on the table. The fries are OK, but you get tired of them pretty quickly (we just ate half of them). The fish and chips was decent, although the fish was a little bit greasy, much like the onion rings. Not only is it delicious & reasonably priced, this beautiful establishment also has amazing energy, that makes your day just a little brighter! AND Wonderful staff and lighting. I had the honor of enjoying The Seasonal Salad, and the description was to the, "T", accompanied by Onion Rings; and my roommate tried The Royale Burger, which was said to be the best burger ever; and my kiddo at the table had the Kids Hot Dog meal, which was beautifully grilled, with cheddar cheese added; both of them the had fries, which were beautifully golden and crispy! Stopped at Bear King Brewing Co. on our way back to Austin after a thunderstorm ended our hiking day at Inks Lake State Park. It was packed, so we waited about 45 minutes for a table, but we were able to order drinks at the bar during our wait. We were seated inside and ordered cheese curds for an appetizer, the French dip, and the beef stroganoff, which felt like a gamble because it seemed like everyone around us was eating sandwiches. Our gamble paid off because Bear King's beef stroganoff was amazing -- maybe tied with my mother's for best stroganoff of all time (don't tell her please). The cheese curds had a just right-amount of cheese pull and the French dip was also tasty. However, their beer and the beef stroganoff will be what I look forward to the next time we return. We liked their wide selection of different beers, and I even loved the Milky Way chocolate milk stout. My friend really liked their Empty Promise raspberry ale. We stopped here for lunch on our way back from the lake. The brewery is big and a great aesthetic. They have a big parking lot. The patio is covered and a big area so all your friends and family will have space. The staff was very nice and attentive. We didn't try their beers, but they looked interesting and I've heard good things. We split the Farmer's Cut burger. I am a sucker for mushrooms, bacon, and truffle aoli. Since I'm one of those weird people, I appreciate the veggies (lettuce, tomatoes, onions) automatically coming on the side. The burger was cooked to perfection and it was a great flavor combo. In a few visits have gotten cold food on 2 of them, tough/salty chicken on other and your better off with a bag of thin HEB chips and dips versus many appetizers now. My fiance and I stopped by on the way home from the lake on Friday. Nice inside and outside space and a good selection of different in house brewed beers and also local wines. I tried all 3 hazy ipas in a flight along with the raspberry ale. All were pretty solid but the raspberry surprisingly stood out as I expected to like one of the ipas going into it. My fiance had the barleywine and enjoyed it. We split the poutine as well. Its definitely a texas take on it as they have cheese curds on the menu but not on this, more so queso. First time visiting. This restaurant is immaculately designed and spacious with both large indoor seating and outdoor. I could immediately recognize this establishment is well managed. Service was attentive with staff from the bar first greeted us and got us calibrated on the wide assortment of brews and introduced our wait person. Fresh start to this experience. Sadly, I did not try their burgers but promise will do so next visit. The reason is that I just had burgers the day before. I ordered the truffle fries, wedge salad, the jumbo shrimp tacos, and the pork belly tacos. Bear King delivered not only awesome presentation for each item but items were epically executed. Truffle fries were perfectly seasoned, thicker than average, and crispy. My favorite pork belly tacos were a nice blend of slaw with crispy cubes of pork belly. I would advise that the cubes be taken out of fryer sooner as they were overcooked which resulted in chewy nuggets of joy rather than burst of pork fat and tender meat. The cream sauce maybe chipotle was nice topping. Ordered with corn tortillas. The jumbo tacos were perfect with the sweetness of the jumbo shrimp, this was perfectly cooked and seasoned, along with all the taco trimmings were a hit. Lastly, the wedge salad was absolutely fresh lettuce that looked like it was grown next door. Lastly, tried the dead reckoning imperial. This was a great IPA. Our waiter was very new but very knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly to speak to. Thank you cooks and staff. Will be back. Again, I can see this place is well managed. Nice ambience on a hot day. First time going to Marble Falls and trying this brewery. Went on Mother's Day Sunday and we only had to wait 10-15 min to get seated outside since we had our puppy with us. Their Birria taco was really good surprisingly given that they are a brewery. It does come in set of two so if you are super hungry, suggest you get something else on the side. We also got The Laredo One Burger. This burger was very big and flavorful. We tried the Trio appetizer and it was good. Wasn't anything to feel wow about but a nice little snack before food. Although our appetizer came after our dishes. Totally understand it was a busy day so not a big deal at all. Overall if you want bar food & some nice outdoor area that you can take your pup with, would recommend this spot. read more

We ordered the Brussel sprouts for an appetizer and they were good but had way too much oil on them. My husband had the fajita tacos and he did like the taste of them so that was a winner. First time in we tried the onion rings, really nice and crispy and a nice size serving. Paired great with the beers. On our second visit my wife had the fish tacos, she commented on how flavorful they were and that she would definitely order them again. We also ordered the truffle fries and a wedge salad. The fries were amazing, just the aroma alone had us hooked. The wedge salad, well, not that salads are exiting but this one didn't do anything for me. There's a presentation to a wedge that can make it "taste as good as it looks." Someone with very little imagination put it together, but once you cut it up and the ingredients are there it's a salad.... Overall, a great place to stop in and with plenty of inside and outside seating, lots of TVs and walking distance to downtown Marble Falls. read more
