Veggie quiche with fruit on the side

The food here is always good. The breakfast quiche is phenomenal. You can literally taste every vegetable in there. And it's not just onions and peppers. There is broccoli, mushrooms, spinach soooo good. The fruit is always fresh and delicious. Service is always kind and smiles. It's usually busy but not so much that you can't get in.

Pastrami Reuben and French Onion soup

We're trying to find some place to eat on New Year's Day in the Jackson, CA area. I found this restaurant on Yelp with good reviews. It was a little hard to find the restaurant, they need to update their signage. We walked into a cute spot and seated right away! We shared the Pastrami Reuben on toasted sourdough, it was delicious and we each got the French Onion soup, it was so so good!!! We found a winner today! The staff is super friendly and attentive. We decided to stay for a beer at the bar and watch the football game. The only thing to be aware of is the bathroom floors are extremely sticky. We will definitely be back when we're visiting again.

*First time review* Absolutely love this place! I guess I had a sandwich here quite a few years ago, but I don't recall so I'll be calling this a new review. My gosh absolutely fantastic! Ambience is redone, nice bar, attentive staff and big sandwiches! Loved my soup as well. BLAST - bacon lettuce avocado swiss turkey. I ordered mine on sourdough toasted with no Swiss. Absolutely fantastic and they made it as I wanted. Do note it does not come with mayo, you'll need to ask for that if you want it. Tuna Avocado - my mom said it was delicious and it was super loaded nicely with tuna. Pictures speak for itself!

    Inside and bar area

We came here for a late brunch while in town for a wedding! We were feeling breakfast and I liked that they serve breakfast pretty late here. Some of the other reviews mention this place has a diner vibe which I could see from their menu. However, the inside does not feel like a diner at all. The interior composed of hardwood floors, string lights, and a large bar do not feel like a diner at all; it feels more like a traditional American food restaurant where you'd come for a group meal. My husband got the Breakfast Burrito and I went with the Chile Verde three egg omelet. We both really liked our food! Their salsa was great to add to both of these entrees. I really liked the chile verde on my eggs, it had a slight spice to it and tasted great with the salsa and sour cream. My husband wished his burrito came with some of the chile verde on top! Both the breakfast potatoes and hashbrowns were crispy and filling. The muffin that came with my entree stole the show! It was a blueberry muffin that was served warm, it tasted freshly baked and was perfect. Service was good, our waters and my coffee were refilled in a timely manner. Staff were nice and attentive. This was a nice first meal to have when we got into town!

Not familiar with this area at all and there wasn't much to choose from when it came to restaurants. Of course I checked yelp and this place looked promising. The inside looks nothing like what I expected. From the outside, I was expecting more of breakfast and coffee vibe, but I was pleasantly surprised it was not. Our waitress was very nice and gladly split our order of their large burger. The food was actually really good. We were definitely satisfied with our whole experience. If I'm ever in town again, I'll have to try something else on their menu.

If you are ever in Jackson and would like a great place to dine casually, come visit this place. This was my first time here and at 1:30pm on a Tuesday it was pretty busy. We were seated pretty fast next to the windows. It is great that they serve breakfast here past Noon. I decided to order the Steak and eggs. I requested medium rare for my sirloin steak, however, it arrived med well and dry. I asked our waitress to take a look at it and she was nice about it and agreed it did not appear as ordered. The new steak came out perfectly charred and juicy enough. Great country potatoes with eggs not overly salted. My friend ordered the grillled salmon over salad greens and stated that the salmon was fresh and the greens and dressing complimented it well. I would like to return here to try some other things off the menu. The inside of the place is bright and bustling with energy from quite a few locals. Popular place!

They kept them coming once we asked, and they were delicious every time. But we had to keep asking, and at one point, we almost gave up. That said, the service was pretty underwhelming, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. We waited close to 20 minutes before getting our first drinks, even water. We had noted a special occasion on our reservation, but there wasn't really anything that made it feel acknowledged or special. We shared the skillet, and unfortunately it was extremely soggy. We literally poured liquid out of it multiple times. On the flip side, the lemon poppyseed waffle was a solid 10/10 and definitely the standout food item for us. I'm giving 3 stars because there's clearly potential here. The drinks were great, the waffle was amazing, and I do think this place could easily be a 5-star experience with more attentive service and a little more consistency in the kitchen. We'll definitely give it another try.

My Southwest Salad (chopped romaine lettuce, taco beef, tomatoes, avocado, olives, jalapeños, cojita cheese, tortilla strips with tapitio ranch dressing) was fresh and delicious. This was mine and my daughter's first time here. After spending a little time scouting out some machines and playing for a little bit, my daughter and I and the rest of the family decided to have Lunch at Margaret's Cafe and Bakery. And we were definitely not disappointed. The host was a young man who had the most awesome service! Very friendly and very nice. He sat us in a booth which was definitely a major plus. We didn't have to wait long for our waitress to swing by and take our order. She was just as awesome as the Host up front! She was all smiley and friendly and she dug into some of our jokes and laughed. Dad has dietary needs and our waitress was very accommodating and helpful with that. Very thankful! Okay so... food. My sister ordered French fries for my daughter, herself, and I to share. Fries perfectly crunchy and perfectly seasoned. if there was salt on them fries I sure didn't notice! I ordered The Tuna Salad Sandwich. You get a choice of fries or a salad. since we already had fries at the table I opted for the house salad with Ranch dressing. HOLY GUACAMOLE! the Ranch they serve there is THE BEST! The. Best! the size of the salad was a good size too! (woulda loved a bit more crouton bc those things were good too)! The Tuna Salad Sandwich was very tasty. I totally enjoyed the wheat bread. The tuna salad was perfectly seasoned followed by the great onion crunch within the sandwich itself. Portions are huge! I was only able to eat half of it. will I be back?! oh yes! there are other things on the menu I want to try! So if you like great service with a smile and some good food--this is the spot at Jackson Rancheria!

It definitely feels like old Jackson. It's a brewery through and through. The bar is beautiful wood and it feels like you step back in time eating here. With one minor exception, everything here was above and beyond the expected. The onion rings were great, the little ones wanted another order. The green beans with the Chipotle aioli might be the second best thing on the menu (1st is to come). The spice was perfect and the breading extra crunchy. The wings were spicy and cooked perfect. The only disappointment was the cauliflower. The buffalo sauce was underwhelming and the blue cheese (spread) didn't work. The main dishes were great all around. Not one bite of any burger wad left over and the fish and Chios disappeared quickly. The highlight was the pesto fries and French dip burger. The pesto fries are drenched in fresh basil pesto with parmesan. The French dip burger is a burger patty topped with roast beef and onions with au jus. It's seriously the best of both worlds. A French dip and a burger. I will definitely be back for this alone. We made a reservation since out party was over 10, but you could definitely walk in and find a table without much wait.
