Beware. Do NOT have breakfast at Angie's if you want to get anything else done the rest of the day. I was in the mood for chicken fried steak. When they brought it to the table, I thought it was a manhole cover smothered in gravy! It was so big, the rest of the breakfast had to come on TWO more plates, one for the eggs and hash browns, and yet another for the ginormous biscuit. I ate the eggs and hash browns and most of the CFS. I saved the biscuit and made a CFS breakfast sandwich with it for lunch the next day. Angie's has a nice patio that is well protected from the weather. It's too bad that it looks out onto gas pumps (under construction during our visit). Still, the food was top notch and so was the service. We'll definitely be back, and when we do come back, we'll clear our afternoon calendar for a nap. read more

We tried Angie's Place and it was such a great experience! I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was amazing. It's huge -- so big that it actually comes on its own plate. It also comes with two sides, which makes it a really filling meal. Everything tasted great. The only small downside was the toast -- it was toasted a little too long and ended up being super crunchy. Other than that, all the food was delicious. The restaurant itself is decorated super cute inside, which makes it feel really welcoming. On top of that, the staff is very friendly and made the whole experience even better. There aren't enough ways to tell you how good Angie's Place is! We went there when it was Franks and were sad when Franks closed down. We gave Angie's a try last month and could not believe how delicious the food was and how friendly Angie and all her employees are. We tried the chili verde omelet and the raspberry crepes that were their "specials" that day. Delicious!!! Today we decided to go to Angie's again and we're NOT disappointed! Every dish we have had there is excellent, Angie makes everything from scratch and you can tell she puts a lot of care and thought into her dishes. If you haven't been there yet, you must try them out. This is our new favorite place to stop for breakfast, I have a feeling we are going to become "regulars" there. Finally went to Angies after talking about it since it opened. And we were we disappointed! Disappiinted that we didnt go earlier!!! I ordered the chicken fried steak and my wife oredered the eggs benedict. Both were amazing. Chicken fried steak is a go to for when I go out to breakfast and at 61 years old Ive had plenty. This was one of the best if not the best Ive had. Just done to perfection and clearly freshly made! In fact they serve such a large portiin I couldnt finish it. That has NEVER happened before. Potatoes were perfectly seasoned as well. My wifes benedict had that nice tang from the lemon juice hollandaise is supposed to have but most restaurants dont give you. GO TO ANGIES! You will not be disappointed. Next time we will be trying the bloody mary to go with breakfast. If they nail that I dont see a reason to go anywhere else for breakfast again. read more

The eggs Benedict were so yummy - the ham had great flavor and the hollandaise sauce is homemade, thick and great flavor! Their country potatoes are so creamy and the skin is crispy. They came with sautéed veggies, cheese, shredded chicken or chunks of beef steak, and topped with avocado and sour cream. Absolutely scrumptious. Served with homemade salsa (tasty with a touch of heat). However, the owner J.M., makes habanero sauce too. This kicked up the spicy without overpowering the other flavors. The homemade biscuit was hot and tasty. It's large in size and very crumbly. I ate it with my fork. It would be perfect for biscuits and gravy. I will try that next time. read more

We live in Mok. Hill but hadn't made it in yet, as they are always swamped! Couldn't stand it anymore so braved the crowds today around 1pm. They were busy but still had open tables nestled amongst the beautiful decor. Service was surprisingly fast - and not surprisingly, great. And the food, oh my gosh! I had the special - a monte cristo sandwich, with a side of Angie's potato salad (her nonna's recipe). The turkey and ham in the sandwich were surprisingly thick, juicy, and flavorful. Its difficult to get this level of food and quality ingredients in the Motherlode. I rate this "Best of the Motherlode." Literally the best patty melt I have had in years. The fries were hand cut and perfectly done. All the customers around us were also GOING OFF on how good the food was! I'm obviously not alone - they have been open 3 months and it is a packed house. It appears the owners, Angie and JM, have put their all in the restaurant- and it shows. I love when owners decide to do everything right - but especially not cut corners on quality of products.
