Where do I start?…read more The first bridal store I went to, I had a negative experience... I left the store feeling rushed and defeated. I went to Stella's and DeeDee completely turned my experience around. She was helpful, knowledgeable, passionate, fun and friendly. She was able to see my vision and went above and beyond to help me find my perfect dress!! I was looking for a very specific and unique style and DeeDee made sure that I found what I was looking for, my dream dress. I can't say enough good things about DeeDee and the store. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Highly recommend Stella's to any bride-to-be.

In april, I went to order the remaining bridesmaids dresses and decided to inquire about the status of my dress. The owner told me that it should be there by the end of the month (April). First week of May, I had still not heard anything, so I decided to call. No big deal, the dress was delayed and should be here in two weeks. So end of May, I still haven't heard anything, so again, I call because it's now a month late. So when I call, they tell me my dress is in Toronto and it should be in the second week of June. So, again, nothing. Last Friday I finally go down there to ask what the **** is up with my dress. I get the run around that it's still in Toronto, that I have lots of time, and not to worry. Well, I am worried now because it's the end of June, and I still don't have a dress for my early September wedding. My girlfriend ordered from Stella's last September and her dress only came 1 week before the wedding!!!! That's ridiculous! The staff at Stella's have no idea when gowns will come in. They just make up dates to get you out of their hair. I am not impressed for having spent over $2500 there. I think I deserve better service than being told "you have lots" of time. It's summer, I've got stuff to do. 2 months is not a lot of time when the only thing you're waiting for is your dress! Shame on you Stella's!!

We were all hoping this would be the day I found my wedding dress. After trying on several gowns, I found one I truly loved. The staff celebrated with me--ringing the bell, taking measurements, styling me with a veil. It was emotional and felt like the moment I'd been waiting for. Then they told me the dress was discontinued and couldn't be ordered. It had been hanging in the wrong section, and no one knew. Their only offer? A worn sample in the wrong size, with no discount. We asked them to remove the dress from the rack so another bride wouldn't be misled. They said they would. We came back an hour later--it was back in the same spot. We asked if the sample could be let out so I could try it on later. They said only if I paid in full first. No empathy. No flexibility. After I left a one-star Google review, the temporary manager called. She blamed her new staff--even though a senior associate had guided the appointment. She offered to ship a size 24 gown from the warehouse to "see if we could make it work," but couldn't give a timeline, not even an estimation. We had already suggested this the day before and were dismissed. This experience caused me real emotional distress. What should have been a joyful milestone was instead, a disaster. Brides deserve better. I'm sharing this to warn others: David's Bridal showed no accountability, no compassion, and no respect.

Told us sleeves and straps are the same thing (what..?). Didn't really offer any useful help at all. We honestly could've just gone in there and tried dresses on without making an appointment because there wasn't really anything she did... She also tried to make us all order a size up - obviously to make us get alterations. So everyone please be aware of the size your "consultant" writes down for you...

When you hem anything, it should come back looking the same as before hemmed, the only difference is length. - The owner has no people skills didn't care, didn't try to understand what I was saying, well yeah of course I'm going to repeat the same thing 3 times either she's playing dumb, or doesn't care to understand.. - owner never offered some alteration money back, $269 is way too much money to make simple 2 flat straps and remove a bit of puffiness and steam, just cut the bottom off with no hem ...I'm not making any of this up. Then the theatrics adding up the obscene $$ for alterations was unbelievable. Before having them touch your dress get a quote in writing!! The "email" that they always send when this is the case... could not be found ...only because they are sooooo busy! Would never recommend this place. Horrible checkout experience...when all the $$$$$ get added in. This was exactly the case when a bride bought a dress that was big but was assured it's literally "2 seams" to fix ... 500.00 later.

I had a difficult time helping zip up the dress, but when the consultant came back she did zip it up but when she was informed that the alterations would be done elsewhere the service went from bad to worse. My daughter in law was having to hold everything up because the straps were too long. To get a better idea of the fitting she asked the consultant to either pin or clip the straps. She outright refused. Then she disappeared again. When she came back we asked to see some belts and veils. The first thing the consultant did was look at her watch, then brought back1 belt to try on. She disappeared again. When we asked for veils she brought one to try on. My daughter in law did not like the embellishments on it, so the consultant brought another one that was almost exactly the same. Then disappeared again. She was extremely dismissive and inattentive of my daughter in laws needs and ruined the experience. I went with the intention of purchasing a wedding dress belt, a veil and some jewelry for my future daughter in laws special day .I was also considering making an appointment to purchase a dress for myself for the occasion but with the shoddy customer service we received I refused to spend a single dollar there and I certainly will not recommend them to anyone else.

I don't want someone else to have this happen!! I want to…read morestart by saying that my experience with The Perfect Gown, in terms of atmosphere and the assistance I received from the sales associate, was very positive. The staff was kind and welcoming, and I felt truly cared for during my visit. However, my experience took a dramatic turn after I had already paid for my dress and alterations, and I feel compelled to share my story to help others. When I purchased my wedding dress, I made it clear that I was dealing with significant health issues that caused weight fluctuations. This was mentioned not just to the sales associate but in front of the seamstress and my maid of honor as well. I requested that the dress be altered from a zipper back to a corset back to accommodate these fluctuations. I was assured that this request would be fulfilled, and I even paid for both the dress and the alterations upfront. Unfortunately, that was not what happened. When I received the dress, everything seemed fine at first. I stepped into the dress and pulled it up without issue. My maid of honor tied the corset back, and it appeared that the alterations had been done correctly. I didn't think too much of it at the time because I was simply overjoyed to have the dress and was focused on other things, including arranging our move to another province so I can be caring for my mom who was very ill at the time. Fast forward a few years later, after the heartbreaking loss of my mother, I finally returned to the dress. It was incredibly emotional, as this was the one moment she had been so eager to see me in. When I went to put the dress on with my aunt's help, I discovered that the zipper would not fully close. To my shock, there was still a zipper in the back, when I had explicitly requested that it be replaced with a corset. I reached out to The Perfect Gown to explain what had happened, and while they initially seemed receptive, I was deeply disheartened by the response I received from the in-house seamstress. She confirmed that she was the original seamstress and acknowledged that she chose to leave the zipper in place, despite knowing about my health issues and the need for a corset back. She explained that I "fit the dress at the time," but did not provide the alterations I paid for, even though I had clearly requested and paid for them upfront. When I explained my situation--living out of province and dealing with the added costs of travel--she offered to help, but the additional cost of having the dress altered properly would be $200-$400. This was after the initial alterations were not done correctly, and the original work had already been paid for. The stress this situation caused, especially considering how important this dress was to me and my family, was absolutely heartbreaking. I feel devastated by the fact that this dress, the only one my mom would have seen me in, is now unwearable, all because of a mistake that should never have happened. It's not just a dress--it was the dress, and it holds more emotional value than I can express. I can't justify paying hundreds or even thousands more to fix an issue that should have been addressed correctly from the start. After much thought, I've made the difficult decision to no longer support The Perfect Gown. I hope that this review serves as a cautionary tale for future brides and that they are able to fully trust that the alterations they request and pay for will be done as promised. This experience has left me feeling incredibly disappointed and heartbroken. Please note the image is covered as the wedding has not taken place and I intent to find another seamstress who can assist in hopes that I can still salvage some of it.
