Hilary Renaissance is one the bet pet communicators we have ever met. The first time we ever called Hilary was in November 2011 as we bought our first home. I have used Hillary repeatedly for numerous pets. I called to make an appointment. I left a message & she returned my call 3 days later. I was driving & told her so & that I was going to the mountains where I have sketchy service. I said I'd pay with zelle which I confused with Venmo. I barely use any of these things. She used to just take a credit card over the phone. I've used her for close to 20 years. Regardless she texted that her zelle request didn't go through which totally confused me. I checked & said oh I'm sorry it's Venmo. I'll do PayPal but that text did not send & I did not notice. The appt wasn't until Nov 7, she was texting me on Oct 30. I recently had 2 readings from Hilary about my friend's lost cat. We called her on 12/28/22 two days after she went missing. Hilary was very detailed and very sure and enthusiastic that my friends kitty was alive and well. She said her kitty communicated to her that she was within one block or street from her home, that she crossed the street to a sidewalk, was near a beige or off white home, there was a bowl of food there, a white planter or vase with blue or green trim, that a long haired cat had attacked her and she was too afraid to come home etc etc.many other details. She instructed my friend to walk around the neighborhood a couple times a day, not call out to her, just have positive energy and let her hear her voice, put flyers up etc and she did all that. Over a week goes by searching in vane and still no sign of her kitty. I call Hilary again and do another reading. Now she said my friends cat has moved location and is now within 3 blocks or streets, that she hasn't eaten in many days that she's 80 to 90 percent sure she's still alive but could be dead. She gives more details about the new location etc. Well...that very day of the second reading..now some 2 weeks since her cat disappeared my friend calls up and had found her cats body. Ends up she tragically got her head caught in the chain link fence right in her own back yard no 25' from my friend's bedroom window. She had been there since day one (her body was decomposed, and she had seen vultures on her roof on day 2 before we called Hilary. I called her simply to tell her what happened so she would know how off she was and to ask her how that could happen. She said "I know this sounds like a BS excuse, and it IS an excuse but sometimes when animals are in shock and die they don't realize they've passed. You can believe that or not but that's the truth". I said ok lets assume that's the truth but how do you explain that my friends kitty communicated all those details of where she was and what happened to her to get where she was when none if that happened. She said.."you can yell and scream at me all you want (I was talking in a very calm voice and just asking her that question) people yell and scream at me all the time (really? Wow thats very telling) but all I can do is my best." I told her I felt she is ethical but I just said, how is someone supposed to know if a reading is correct?, do you have an idea how often you are right or wrong? She started to answer..that it was hard to put a number on..then she snapped and said she didn't like being 'grilled' and that she didn't want to talk about it any more and hung up the phone. Wow. All I wanted to do was let her know how off her reading was, that I wished that hadn't happened that way and to ask her in her opinion how it could be so wrong. Anyway my overall feeling is that I would like to think she is an ethical person and tries her best, but my friends opinion was that she made the whole thing up. We'll never know. I feel horribly that I hired her as it made a tragic situation even worse for my friend. If she had been correct we would have found her body right away. Even if she is ethical I have lost all confidence in her ability to get accurate readings. I had hired her in the past for several readings over the past 5 years and felt she was helpful but that was because I assumed her readings were correct - there was no way to know if they were right or wrong in the other situations, now after this- one naturally doubts whether any of it was correct no matter how good her intentions. Also her getting all defensive and hanging up on me is so unprofessional that was a big sign. The fact that she got all defensive and told me that people yell and scream at her all the time tells me she must get it wrong a lot ? I have been working with Hilary for over 20 years. The first time I spoke with Hilary was about my dog who passed away. I had a stuffed animal that looked exactly like my dog - a Yorkie. In Hilary's reading, my dog communicated to her that I had a stuffed toy that looked like her. I never revealed this to Hilary before she did the reading. Hilary Renaissance is incredibly shrewd and appears to be using her so called gift to con people. I wouldn't even give her 1 star but I had to give one to create the post. We were referred to her by a Facebook user who saw that our cat was missing. I contacted Hilary right away and she told me she charges $125 a session and that it can take more than one session. I had only been given her phone number and was not aware of her pricing when I called. I explained that I need to call back later this week when we get paid because we didn't have $125 on hand. This is where it gets bad. She tells me: "Since you're so broke, you shouldn't be calling a pet psychic because it puts both of us in a bad position." "Also, it usually takes more than one session so I would not work with you if you called back saying you have the money now because you may not have money for the next session when it's needed." I was blown away and could not believe the way I was being spoken to. What a cruel and insensitive way treat to people who are seeking help for a lost pet.
