When Jovanne came out to estimate the project, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and confident in his abilities, as well as his team's ability to deliver the best outcome for me. A week later, I was on the schedule and Jovanne came out to begin grading my front yard with a skid. The man is an absolute surgeon with that machine. Although he worked quickly, he was very detail oriented and paid close attention when digging near the house foundation. The next day, Anthony and the rest of the crew came out to do the final laser guided grading and put down seed and erosion blankets. The final product is exactly what I was hoping for and Jovanne understood that right from the beginning. Communication with Janet and Shan was great. I would have let him work it off by cutting my trees, but he doesn't even want to talk to me, and people that owe $$$ to others usually do not, they avoid like the noid. I made a point that I wanted trees hanging over the roof to be trimmed. THE TREES OVER THE ROOF WERE NOT TRIMMED. He made a point that a long limb on a major tree needed to be trimmed as it was pulling the tree over. IT WAS NOT TRIMMED. Jacob made a a point of saying he was going to trim limbs hanging low over the sidewalk and hitting people's heads as they approached the front door. THE LIMBS WERE NOT TRIMMED. When I realized work promised was not done, I texted Jacob. He promised to come out that weekend and complete the job. HE DID NOT SHOW UP. When I contacted him lathe next week. He said he would get to it. HE DID NOT GET TO IT. When I contacted him a third time, he said it was too late in the year to trim them. When I contacted him the next cutting season, HE IGNORED MY TEXT AND GHOSTED ME. He charged me $5000, but I was willing to pay for a certified arborist. We agreed on the scope of work and price. He said it would take him 4 days to complete and each day he will have a 4 man crew on the property. This never happened. He did not have reliable help so he would visit to work whenever his schedule allowed. He worked on my property for over three months, a few days a week for a few hours. He cut really big cedar trees on my property and stole the trunks and big pieces we specifically asked him to leave as we wanted to use them for benches and shutters. I have him on camera footage taking away. His chipper broke and therefore he couldn't chip anymore. He has left piles of branches on my property which still have not been cleaned up. He left piles of chipped trees against mature oak trees and I had to move with shovel to avoid fungus/bacteria growing on tree trunks. I paid this guy 2/3 of the original price we agreed on because he was having money problems and he assured me he would get the work done. Still no show. He would bring an employee who didn't have a car and leave him here till late evening hours. We allowed him indoors and asked him to join our family for dinner till his boss Jacob returned. Once again, I have much more to say... Jacob is a nice guy but as home owner who still has trash left on my property I'm very upset and Unpleased with his service. Many people say give small business and the local guy a chance. Here is where trusting the professionals and big landscaping companies gets you the job you expect and pay for. I will be adding pictures to my review so others can avoid and save themselves the nightmare
