He's always quick to respond, enthusiastic about the projects, and takes a real pride in his work and making sure things are done in a way that will last. We did a complete backyard overhaul and transformed it from a bare mud pit to a backyard oasis that we now love spending time in now: new sod on half the hard, paver patio and crushed granite on the other half, limestone retaining wall and mulch bed on the back wall, drainage, and irrigation through out. We had an old and non functioning irrigation system that we inherited from the previous owners and rather than just ripping it up and charging us for a new one, Aaron spent hours servicing and getting it to work, and then customized it to work with the new yard layout. We also had some freak of nature downpour of rain pretty soon after the big project was complete, which washed away some of the granite and caused the patio to settle with some dips. Aaron came back and fixed it all and added in additional drainage to keep it from happening again. Aaron is my guy forever now - extremely fair on pricing, honest, full of integrity, thorough, and just an all around nice guy. You won't be disappointed if you choose to work with him.

After the job completed, Aaron has always been incredibly willing to share advice for landscaping situations that we've encountered since the original installation. I felt it was important I updated my review as a lot has happened to the deck in the 3 years since…read morethey put it in. Though the deck looked good initially in just 3 years it is rotting away and we just now realized to what extent. It got in such a bad state we decided to have someone redo the whole deck. When they took off the top boards the frame itself had half rotted away (including the whole frame for the steps) and we realized it could have caved under us at any time. In the attached picture you will see the current state of the frame. Half of it has rotted away. We initially used them because they were the best price and they did work fast and were flexible to our requests. However, the tradeoff seems to be they used poor material. It was either not pressure treated or leftover material they got from a building being constructed that isn't meant to be used for a deck. I can't confirm but regardless proper material shouldn't rot like this in just 3 years. I write this to warn you to make sure they are not skimping on the materials as this can become a safety hazard.

Most recently, Jesus and his team removed a large dead tree trunk for me (by the root). It was one hell of a job -- the tree wouldn't budge. So, Jesus and his team worked harder. They stayed into evening, working with a light. They wouldn't rest until they got it done. When they finally did, they made sure to clean up everything (in the dark). It was super impressive. See photos of tree, before and after. Very friendly, professional, communicative, thorough, detail-oriented, and extremely hard-working. Oh and the prices are reasonable. What more could you ask for?

From the first meeting, he was professional and took the project seriously. He started with a drone photo overhead and created a design with our architect's plan. Travis worked with us to design a drought-tolerant landscape with a combination of astroturf and xeriscape, as well as limestone paver walkways with black granite and black steel edging to go with the aesthetics of our modern ranch. Our third party inspector noted that many landscape companies do not weld the steel edging to the stakes, but Travis's crew welded all of the connections and the steel seems thicker than what we had at our previous home. We chose Thrive because of other Google reviews combined with our interactions with Travis during the quote and design process. We found the same to be true as other reviewers, which was his crew was very positive, helpful, energetic, and some of the hardest workers on our project. They were the first to arrive in the morning, worked hard and fast all day, and stayed often until dark. We truly appreciated the hustle, and the quality and beauty of the finished product and would not hesitate recommending Thrive to anyone in need of landscape services.

After receiving some ridiculous quotes from some of the "bigger" artificial turf companies, offering a lower grade of turf for a substantially higher price, I went forward with the project with Umesh and KG Lawn Care. Umesh took on my project of installing approximately 1000 sqft of artificial turf, metal edging, and black star gravel around some cypress trees. Roughly a month before starting, I expressed to Umesh my desire to have the project completed in time for our family's annual crawfish boil, which he assured me he would fulfill. I can't say enough positive things about Umesh, Lucas, and their crew. As we neared the date of my family's party, Umesh assured me that he would push to make the deadline, even with unpredictable central Texas weather. Umesh not only kept to his promise in finishing the project in time for our party, but also knocked it out of the park! The artificial turf looks incredible and instantly became my daughter's favorite place to play. Umesh and his crew put a level of detail into the project in ensuring every aspect was perfect for my family. As pleased as I am with the project itself, the most noteworthy aspect I want to highlight in this review is how Umesh does business. In a world where so many are looking to cut corners, charge more, and provide less, I found that Umesh is a man of immense integrity who keeps to his word. Umesh delivered on his promise to ensure my yard was immaculate for my family's party, but most notably, his promise on pricing. A day before our turf was set to be installed, Umesh was notified by the turf company that the turf we picked out was no longer available (with zero warning). Umesh was forced to upgrade the turf at a difference of nearly $800. I offered to split the difference with Umesh but was told: "Nah man, it's all good. I like to keep my word and pricing. It's not your fault." This really struck me that Umesh was willing to eat $800 in order to keep his word with me on pricing. KG Lawn Care exceeded my expectations and truly helped me complete my dream back yard - The quality of work and character of Umesh will have me recommending him and his company to all my family and friends!

We absolutely love it! The crew were super polite and professional folks working through extreme heat over two days (super quick imo). They did a cool underground drainage features with our existing gutters that I'm excited to see workout when it rains next. They truly did a wonderful job and picked up after themselves and even hauled some leftover rotten decking we had for us. On the way home one month or so back, there was a PRT crew working in the neighborhood and it motivated me to reach out again. They quickly replied through Yelp once I sent them a message and the estimator was here in a couple of days for an estimate and to provide guidance. He was very helpful in making the decisions we choose. We pretty much revamped our entire landscape. New Sod, removal of old sod and installation of zero scape/natural flat stones/gravel. Replanted all the beds, reworked sprinkler system and a massive trim out of existing shrubs and the sort. Not inexpensive, however they were still less expensive then another service, who suggested such things as a French drain, which really didn't make sense and came in a couple grand higher. The crew were numerous and were on time, courteous and knocked out the project in only a few days. One slight slip was the sod was not available on the last day, so we skipped a day and had the job completed the day after. It still was in the time frame they informed us on to begin with and let us know the day before the sod was to be installed. The result of their hard work will be truly noticed when the new plantings take hold. We have been fortunate with having several days of rain and cool weather. A couple of weeks in the sod has taken hold and none of the plantings have died and are all perking up from the transplanting experience. We are very happy with the results and the ease of working with PRT from start to finish.

After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

They charged us $300 for a 1,509 sq ft house -- despite the fact that the home had brand-new blinds, brand-new flooring in all three bedrooms, and no refrigerator to clean. This was absolutely not a discounted or bargain price. Before hiring them, they specifically promised they would come back and address anything my realtor found unsatisfactory after the cleaning. Based on that promise, I paid them in full immediately after the service. A few days later, my realtor inspected the property and found the cleaning quality extremely poor. She provided them with a detailed list of areas that were still dirty. One toilet was so poorly cleaned that my realtor cleaned it herself. On another toilet, instead of properly scrubbing blue staining inside the toilet, they simply suggested replacing the whole toilet altogether. That alone tells you the level of effort they put into the job. The dishwasher was still dirty. Windows, baseboards, drawers, and other surfaces were visibly dirty. There were even cobwebs still hanging on the walls. When I contacted them to come back as promised, their attitude immediately changed. They were rude, dismissive, and kept delaying scheduling. I gave them my husband's number to coordinate a return visit, and they said the earliest they could come was Saturday (nearly a week later). Then on Saturday, they suddenly claimed they would not return unless someone was physically present at the house to inspect their work. This made absolutely no sense because they already knew the property was vacant and that we were remote landlords. They had completed the original cleaning using an access code with nobody present, so this was clearly just an excuse to avoid honoring their promise. After that, they stopped answering calls from both me and my husband entirely. The house was still dirty, and we ended up paying another cleaning company to redo the entire job properly. Unprofessional, dishonest, and extremely poor-quality work. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company. Respond to the owner's response: you lied! (1) The toilet was totally cleanable. The second cleaner cleaned this toilet with no problem. It looks very clean now. But you even didn't try and simply asked me to buy a new toilet. What a moron. Another toilet shown in the picture showed how my realtor easily cleaned after you still left it dirty! (2) my husband said he didn't clearly agree to have someone come for you because your accent was strong and he couldn't clearly hear what you said. Simply not realistic for us to agree. When he called you, you also didn't tell him which day and time you could come back to clean the house either. Later when I called you to come back, I already explained to you why we couldn't have someone on the spot waiting for you because it was an empty house and we couldn't hire someone to wait for you there. You knew this already even before we let you clean our house at the beginning, because we gave you the house access code to come in and nobody was there! We told you our realtor would come a few days later to check and asked if you could come back to finish cleaning if she pointed out dirty places. You agreed which is why we gave you money to do it. Unfortunately we paid you in full on the same day you did the cleaning. So you can become a moron later. You simply didn't want to keep your own promise to come back to finish cleaning. You could simply say you would come back to finish cleaning what we pointed out and no more trips if my realtor found out more later. However you simply refused to answer our phone and disappeared! If you continue to lie in public here after causing us so much stress and financial loss by hiring a second cleaner, I will further seek related third party for help. I don't believe such a horribly bad company could lie like this in public.

After returning to my home after almost four years, my yard was no longer beautiful as I had left it. Nature and neglect had taken it's toll. And I had a tree by my driveway that had taken over the entrance to my driveway. So I hired Daniel and his amazing, hard working crew to remove this monster of a root system and tree and got a beautiful safe driveway that I can walk up and down without the worry of falling any more. They also removed a tree in my backyard that was damaged from the ice storm in 2021 and was hanging into my neighbors yard. Then I couldn't help myself and added a new fence, new sod and had the present flowerbeds de weeded and mulched. Daniel guided his different crews and the demolition started and next thing I know the trees are gone and grinded down, driveway was poured, the fence was back up with latticework on the very back that Daniel suggested and so glad he did. Then my back yard was mulched and sodded. And I was getting my happiness back. Daniel suggested I buy plants and they would plant them for me, but that is my favorite part of being in my yard is playing in the dirt to add color to my life and watch my plants grow. Then the front yard was sodded, mulch applied to existing gardens and more rock to my curb areas. I am in love with my yard again and it looks beautiful. I know Daniel has before and after pictures, I would love for him to share the amazing work his crews did. And that tree was a monster to remove. It was my good for to meet Daniel Flores, owner of Grace Landscaping. I consulted him about a 30÷ year old Arizona Ash that stood in the middle of my front yard. It had had to be drastically trimmed because lower branches had fallen off and, once, onto my car. Mr. Flores explained to me that the peeling bark all around the perimeter of the lower 20 feet of this tree signaled its near death. My worry was that the tree would fall on my car, my house or my neighbor house. So, I asked Mr Flores to cut it down. I also asked if he could remove the srump. In one long day he and his workforce did this. The diameter f the trunk must have been over 2 feet. Still, his workers cut and cut on the main root. When I got home on the 2nd day of the job, the tree was gone, the stump was gone. And the area looked as if it had never been there. Amazing! Mr. Flores removed all limbs and stump p stand branched. Decided it was time to install new landscape lighting in front yard, filled out some form on line and didn't think I had submitted. But in about thirty minutes later I received phone call from Daniel Flores, of Grace Landscape and Tree Service he wanted to come out that afternoon and discuss the job. He came out and I mentioned I'd also like to level the front yard, and landscape light (which was what my main concern was). So he came up with a cost for both that I thought was very reasonable I accepted the contract and he started the next morning. The leveling in the yard was the most difficult with the removal of tree sump and roots (one root was 12" in diameter). He finished the lighting and leveling in 2 days and could not be more pleased with his work. He added mulch in flower beds, put down organic topsoil before adding new grass (talked about using the existing grass but Daniel decided to install new) there was a few other items he added without asking for more money. We had a very positive experience with Daniel and crew. To start with, Daniel was quick to respond to our request and got started working on our tree trimming within a day. He had very good ideas on the trimming. He and his crew worked diligently till it was done. Daniel's keenness to go "extra" was evident in their work. In addition to the tree trimming, we had Daniel and his crew move 4 yards of soil into new beds that we built. Despite being very late in the day, they worked tirelessly to ensure this was done on time because we were anticipating thunderstorms later in the night. I was particularly impressed that despite being late, they made sure that our yard ( and our neighbor's yard) was cleaned up with all the debris from the tree trimming. They also cleared up the driveway for remnant soil. In general, I was pleased with their work ethic and commitment to doing the job thoroughly. It's hard to find contractors who genuinely go above and beyond, but Daniel and his crew absolutely did. Watching them work in brutal 90-100° weather was impressive -they never cut corners and put in an incredible amount of effort every single day. They completely upgraded my backyard by replacing old mulch with a clean river rock landscape, adding black rock around the fence line and trees, leveling the yard, bringing in topsoil, and installing fresh sod. The difference is unbelievable. My backyard went from mostly dirt to a lush lawn that completely changed the look of my home. What I appreciated most was that they didn't just do the minimum. They asked for feedback throughout the project, made adjustments whenever I requested them, helped with sprinkler placement for the new sod, and even used leftover materials to improve other areas of the yard. Daniel and the rest of his crew were completing a stellar job at one of our neighbors. Seeing what incredible work they had done, my wife asked if they could offer us an estimate on what it would take to do some work on a few tree. Daniel came over right away and provided an estimate that was more than fair. He even offered to get to work on it today. They ripped through the work straight away! They were fast, efficient and precise. Afterwards, they were kind enough to carry off a big potted cactus that did not fair so well after this year's crazy freeze. Daniel & his team (Leroy, Dennis & Jasmine) came out the same day I inquired about their services. I lost 4 trees during Austin's Feb 'ice age' storm (one 40 yr old Big tree & three 15 yr old saplings, all over 20 ft tall). I waited to see if the trees would live and the trees started sending shoots out from the roots. Daniel & his team were Very careful not to harm those new shoots while they removed the dead trunks & branches, hauled the debris to the front curb and even trimming up my large 35 yr old tree in the front yard that also suffered from that storm. They worked well after dark and George Pitra came early the next day to haul the trunks & branches off and clean up (Leroy helped w/clean up). Great work and very fast while being careful! read more

Daniel Flores, owner of both 'Grace Landscaping & Tree Service' and 'Grace Remodeling & Construction' is an ambitious and somewhat unconventional businessman that puts forth considerable effort for both his clients and employees. He has worked on two projects for me (one landscaping and one sort of construction + landscaping). The 2nd project became significantly more complicated than either of us anticipated. Despite this, Mr. Flores committed to finishing the project at the initially agreed-upon price whereas many other contractors probably would have just bailed and ghosted me. Be sure you don't do business with this company for tree removal. Daniel Flores had stolen thousands of Dollars from families all over Austin. He's notorious for taking a check and bailing on the job after our clears. Look at the reviews that aren't featured for the whole story. Not sure why this falls off of the qualified reviews. Daniel continues to find victims throughout central Texas. He gets some good work if he completes in a single day, but if your project lasts longer than it takes a check to clear, you can say goodbye to your money. Attempted to file a claim against him, but he doesn't keep an address so if you do get scammed, there is no action you can take to reclaim his ill gotten gains. read more

Our trees suffered during the Big Freeze and needed a serious trim to keep their health and vitality. Daniel was great. He came out the day I called to do a walkthrough of what I needed done. He set up an appt. to come out and do the work the very next day. What I expect from a tree trimming service is to act on the detailed cuts I want done, to bring deep experience to the job and to do the job with efficiency and expertise. I am really impressed with our experience from Grace landscaping. A few other tree trimmers quoted us a similar price but couldn't get us in for months. We had a particularly dangerous tree that was completely dead from the storms and growing a poisonous fungus. Daniel came by and gave us a quote on par with the others but said he come next day! I had an arborist come out to assess what needed to be done with several trees, but there was going to be a 3-month waiting air for the crew to come. Instead, I hired Daniel Flores's crew with Grace Landscaping. They gave a comparable quote and could start work the same day. I hired Daniel to trim and remove a large tree on 9/12/20. His man did a great job trimming, but Daniel took the money and ran after telling me he would be back on Monday to haul it off. The logs and brush are still piled in my yard and partially in my neighbor's yard as of 10/3/20. He also has Grace Remodeling & Construction which left my neighbor's home a complete mess, inside and out. She hasn't seen him for weeks either. Beware of Grace! read more

I am an injured veteran and I am unable to move around well. I had a tree that was growing through my fence and it needed to be brought down. Daniel Flores came out the same day to review what was needed and him and his crew started working the very next day. Couldn't be happier with the results. I hired Grace Landscaping and Tree Service to pull out some dead shrubs and replant with other plants. I also had my Crepe Myteryls cut. They also planted close to 1/2 a pallet of grass and raked up all the acorns (A Bunch)in the backyard. There is clearly someone that has left this company, the kid doing the work now is as flakey as…read morethey come and clearly expects a participation award with money. I thought that it was odd that his dad came with him since he has supposedly been doing this work for over 9 years, but now I know dad was babysitting him. The quote automatically baked in a tip. I asked for clippings to be bagged, beds weeded, etc each time. If everything had been perfect for the price ok, but not for the nonsense with him. There are so many items, first he put a 30 pound bag of Ironite on the base of a single tree, a 30 pound bag of Ironite is $38 + tax so 41.14 after tax down the tube and a tree that will fry and have to be removed. When his father told him that he should not have done that his solution was to water it in vs raking it out to the drip line where it should have been to begin with. Not only did I tell him very specifically how to do it he said "yes, I understand". 9+ years of experience my foot, I should not have had to tell him how to do it to begin with. His excuse for this stunt was because there was scat there, so the tree is about 15 feet tall and the drip line is at about 15 feet so he tried to claim that there was scat at the drip line in an arc for 15 feet across the yard. He would have had to mow over enough scat that he would have had to pick it up before mowing, this would also mean that the racoons would have had to map out the scat in an arc of 15 feet, no way, period. I also went and smelled the clippings, zero scat smell, I also looked for the scat, I found one small amount near the base of the tree, exactly where he should not have been messing around anyway. He put so much Ironite on flowers that it would have fried every single one of them had it not all been picked out and then he tossed some in pots, who puts a bunch of fertilizer directly in plant pots with supposedly 9 years of experience? So not only am I out a bag of Ironite, I now have to water and water and water to abate the burn so yet more money for no reason, not to mention the amount of walking which is a real issue due to being disabled. The only reason to pull this stunt with 9 years of experience is to kill the tree so he had something else to charge me for He apologized, but laughed as he was apologizing, literally like a grinning i----. I also caught him pushing down backwards on the fence gate, interestingly they do fence work; why would anyone push down on a fence gate period other than to create an issue that needs to be fixed? Next, I told him to mow the grass as high as possible and it is absurdly short and I told him not to burn the edges when he edged, all burned. Next there is horseweed in the back and I told him the day before during the quote, which took over an hour of walking him around and I am disabled so every step is painful, to mow it as if it were grass, he texts me and asks if he should mow it, but did not bother texting or asking about the fertilizer and the tree? He told me during the quote that he would hand weed the area around the air conditioners and then told me that he did not weed anything on that side because I told him to not use the weedwhacker around the air conditioners. Next, a very large bed in front where saplings grow, he did zero, other beds grass was left along with saplings Moved chairs were the grass is not even long enough to mow and left them. I told him exactly where to put the compost bin at the curb before he left, nothing at the curb, his excuse "I thought you meant for next time", so he knows I am disabled and leaves it for me to take out when it was literally the last thing that I reminded him to do. I also had to remind him to lock the gate, seriously a disable single female and I need to remind 2 grown men to lock the gate. He also told me he could do other odd jobs during the estimate, he shows up with a dead drill. The quote was $175 for a quarter acre, but I get bagging, hand weeding, etc takes extra time so I agreed. I waited a day before deciding to do the full feedback and this arrogant little snot told me to get another company, as if I would ever use them again, just how dumb does he need to be to think I would ever consider him for use ever again. He is also out another 5 jobs as 5 different neighbors would have used him had I been happy him, which also basically means he is out of the running for a single job in this neighborhood.

With impending doom of a storm so ominous kids were being let out of school early. .. somehow my jungle of a yard was mowed back. They beat the storm and I am grateful. Price was reasonable and when I got home I was pleased. After seeing some of their other projects, I can't wait to utilize their full capability for some lawn and back yard projects.

When Jovanne came out to estimate the project, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and confident in his abilities, as well as his team's ability to deliver the best outcome for me. A week later, I was on the schedule and Jovanne came out to begin grading my front yard with a skid. The man is an absolute surgeon with that machine. Although he worked quickly, he was very detail oriented and paid close attention when digging near the house foundation. The next day, Anthony and the rest of the crew came out to do the final laser guided grading and put down seed and erosion blankets. The final product is exactly what I was hoping for and Jovanne understood that right from the beginning. Communication with Janet and Shan was great. A complete remodel with 2 retaining walls, new irrigation, sod, zero-scaping, a flagstone patio, hot tub, rebuilt deck, pergola, kitchenette, bar top, and electrical. Andy did an excellent job managing the project, paying attention to detail, and staying as close to schedule as possible. He gave us sufficient time after the job was complete to test the final product, make fixes, etc., before taking full payment. He went above and beyond to make sure to stay within budget and give us a beautiful final product. Before going with Andy we got quotes from 2 other landscapers. Rockview Landscaping's quote was in the middle. We didn't go with the cheapest option because Andy felt more trustworthy and willing to stay close to our vision. Additionally, the cheapest quote came from a larger national landscaping firm. It felt impersonal. We wanted to help a local business instead. The pictures speak for themselves. We included some before pictures as well so you can see how awful our backyard used to be, and how complete the remodel is. The slope in our backyard was very steep, making the lawn space completely unusable. The deck was rotting and painted over with an ugly green color. We cannot believe how much flat lawn space we have now, and the patio, hot tub, deck layout is beautiful and functional.
