Just took our calico cat Georgia to Hill Top Animal Hospital for a routine annual visit. The staff was incredibly friendly and the doctor we met with was very knowledgeable. Dr Tristin and his nurse Lindsey both took special care addressing our concerns in a way that felt both validating and reassuring. We asked for blood work as well as nutritional advice, and both were explained in detail. We have a lot of Fur babies. We have seen several veterinarian offices in the CSRA and they are most affordable, spends the time with you not making you feel rushed. They have seen us for emergencies that have resulted in surgeries, been by our side when we had to see a fur baby leave us for heaven. I would strongly recommend them to anyone. Not sure why it doesn't have us local... But we are in the CSRA! read more

We had to euthanize our 15 year old Shih Tzu. The vet tech (Ms. Taylor, I believe was her name) was beyond kind. She told us everything that would happen, and gave us all the time we needed to spend with our boy that we wanted. The Vet was very kind and showed compassion for what we were going thru. When we were ready, we were allowed to hold him thru the whole procedure. From beginning to end, the compassion shown was excellent. I picked up Kenjy's ashes yesterday, and they had taken his nose and paw prints and put some of his hair in a miniature vial. Thank you Hilltop for your compassion and caring of our boy. Making and rescheduling appointments here is very simple. Staff is super friendly, from reception, to the vet techs, to the actual vet. Rooms are clean, small yet comfortable. The wait today was a bit longer than we anticipated and at a little over an hour we finally completed our vet visit. I noticed they didn't charge for a nail cut, but provided the service. I am thankful, but I didn't ask for one because they get extra sharp and I have small kids. Our dog was diagnosed with epilepsy based on the videos we showed the vet today. I was pleased to know that they provided the medication at their actual location and that I did not need to head to a chain pharmacy to pick up the prescription. They also offer military discount. I tried getting an appointment with my usual vet but they weren't able to take emergencies and said they had no a availability's until next week. Enter the Google and trusty Yelp search. We noticed it was a newer clinic and maybe that's what my pup just needed. We were greeted right away, shown to an exam room within minutes of completing the paperwork and had many chats with a few vet techs to go over history and what additional needs she could have besides the office exam. My dog had a pulled muscle and needed her yearly shots so she freaked out hearing the other dogs and ran amuck in the small exam room. Luckily, the doctor and assistant were kind enough to sit with her, calm her down and distract her while she got her yearly shots. I like this intimate clinic. It's chill when you walk in, the doctor sees you quickly and they're so accommodating with scheduling. Definitely a wonderful veterinarian and I'm so glad we found them. read more

I do not recommend this place at all, unless of course you have lots of money and a purebred pet! The vet I saw, Dr Munnerlyn was not friendly and didn't act very interested in my rescue boy at all! I asked a question and she said she would let me know but never came back in the room. Neither her nor the vet tech made a note of what we talked about! When I called back, no one knew what I was talking about. Once again spoke with a not so friendly Dr Munnerlyn. If you're on a budget and have rescued an animal, go somewhere else! read more

I do recommend this place highly. Our Rudy had been going to Springwood and they wouldn't answer the phone for two weeks. Rudy has a heart murmur and breathing problems. He was without his medicine and he got really sick. We would leave messages begging them to call in his med's. We found this place and everyone in there is smiling and so caring. The Vet changed his medicine to help him breath better. As far as I am concerned they saved his life. I am so grateful for these very caring people who listen to you. Rudy has a permanent new Vet and we really like him. read more

Thoroughly impressed. I'd just gotten Hercules (#HAPPIESTMASTIFFMOMMY) and I was referred to Hill Top due to their experience with Mastiffs. When it comes to customer service I may not say much while I'm being served but rest assured I am observing and taking mental notes. My first call to the office was a very pleasant experience. The person sounded as if she loved her job and proud to be a part of it! She went above and beyond to find a time that fit my schedule. When I arrived, I was welcomed in a warm "we were waiting for you bc it's all about you" kind of way. Pleasant smiles from all workers. The vet assistant walked us into the room and was SO interactive with Hercules. I loved it!! The doc came in and acted as if he cared! He sat on the floor with Hercules. I was just here today with my sweet pup having stomach issues. I didn't have a prior appointment. My dog threw up blood, I called immediately and they told me to come on down. The vet was great and gave us some meds and special food and hopefully my girl will be back up and running soon! I also got my other dog spayed here and they took the best care of her. My fur baby needed to be seen ASAP and when I called and explained what the issue was, I was advised to come right on in. My fur baby was a new patient and they treated him like King...lol. They were very patient and cautious and didn't mind his excessive stress shedding!! . We just moved to the area and we were lucky enough to find this place. The staff is awesome and they took great care of our dog, which happens to be suffering from an allergic reaction. Not only was the doctor extremely knowledgeable and professional, but she went above and beyond. The Dr. even called us a week after the appointment to check up on the dog. My experience there was horrible. My elderly border collie was in good health except for mildly decreased mobility. My dog had normal liver function tests at his 1st visit and Dr. Scholer prescribed arthritis medication. He rechecked his lab work in a month, told me to continue medication. 4 days later my dog became wekk and stopped eating, I called saying I was bringing him in, but was treated like a criminal by his receptionist who said my dog was not in distress. Dr. Scholer also said my dog looked normal, but reluctantly did labs. My dog's liver values were dangerously high. I asked Dr. Scholer to show me what my dog's liver function test had been the previous week and it was 3x the upper limit of normal. If the medication had been stopped a week ago I think my dog would be OK. My dog died 3 days later. I had gone to Hilltop just because it was closer to my home than my old vet. Big Mistake! read more

If I could give more stars I would! The front office staff is kind, efficient and informative as I was new to the area. They get you in for same day appointments to address your pet issues. The facility is very clean. My dogs have seen Dr Atkinson and he is professional, knowledgeable, kind and listens to your concerns. After having a negative experience with another local vet, coming here was like a breath of fresh air! The receptionist and the vet both made a big fuss over my dog, making her feel special and not scared. They made ordering her flea and tick medicine very easy because we can do it online, and we even got an email remembering her birthday today. If they put this much effort into a regular checkup, I'm confident that if something serious ever happened, they would do well with that too.
