I so appreciate her intelligence and resourceful ways in tackling all available healing methods. Dr. Garner is especially brilliant, invaluable, and a core part of the foundation of this business. Anytime I bring my dog in, he comes out and sits down with me and explains everything to me for quite some time so that I can make an informed decision based on my financial ability and the fact that I love my dog and want to keep her as happy as possible for as long as possible. Their new location is very impressive! It's a bit of a drive for me, coming from Hephzibah, but so far, I really like them and feel confident in the care they are providing to my pets.

Recently, Dr. Gaffigan, who is getting ready to retire sold her practice to another veterinarian who has changed this sweet and loving place into a money grab. No more complimentary nail trims with exams, no more selling monthly heart/flea/tick protection medicine for a one-month supply for customers that are on a budget. Labs need to be done before renewing medication can be prescribed or administered- for elderly pets that have been on medications that are working! Why put them through that? The hours also changed only being open Monday through Thursday and that is difficult for working adults. I voiced my opinion that to pay for a three-month supply would be difficult for me, as I now rely mostly on social security after a recent cancer diagnosis. I had a well-paying job prior. If you break a package and sell three tablets, why can't you sell just one tablet for people that may have multiple pets like me. I received a letter in the mail that I was rude to staff and would not be welcomed back should my communication not improve. I was not rude; I just expressed my opinion. I have never in my lifetime been given a letter or reprimand like that! I have spent the bulk of my professional career helping people. I worked for hospice and was loved and respected.

They went above and beyond to do micro testing for my kitty whose ears have been bothering her, got us the results and antibiotic drops before we left. Check ups and full vaccination boosters as well as the test and additional treatment for one of our cats under $450 is very reasonable. We will be gladly returning and I recommend this facility to pet owners in the area. My only complaint is that they had 2 large peace lily plants in the treatment room, which are pretty well known to be toxic to cats. Not sure why they would choose to have that in a vet office. Other than that it was a great experience!

They are compassionate and reasonable and take the Care card from synchrony that truly helps pay the vet bills in time w no interest as long as it's paid on time and in full by the set date (6-12-24 months depending on cost total). The entire team at Martinez animal hospital are pleasant to work with and they have walk in services in the morning that also helps when appts are full but you need to get in to see the vet. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
