    White Wine Cheese Board
    Patricia K.

We came in on a Thursday afternoon when it first opened and the place was totally empty. Staff was super friendly and gave us recommendations based on our preferences. I ordered the White Wine Cheese Board while my husband got the Hibiscus Margarita with the accompanying cheese. I was surprised to find the Harbanero included with mine wasn't super spicy which I appreciated! I think the wine choices paired very well with each cheese. I wasn't crazy about the Hill Valley Cheese included with the board, as it was a little too strong for my palette. The place itself was super relaxing and we enjoyed our cheese and drinks on the couch. There's also board and card games you can play with friends too! All in all, good experience and a relaxing way to experience the cheese Wisconsin has to offer

This is the cutest spot! Perfect for a cozy date night or just meeting a friend to catch up! I was intrigued that they served crafted mocktails with NA spirits (love that more places are doing this), and was dying to try it out. The drinks did not disappoint and each is paired with a piece of cheese, which is the most fun idea! We also ordered the smaller cheese plate for a light snack and got to pick 3 cheeses from the case. The owner/cheese maker brought it out to us and was so friendly! They also have a retail section, and we grabbed some cheeses for a party the next day. Will definitely be back!

Very nice, fun, calm place with an amazing vibe. We got an appetizer essentially here before dinner on a Friday night. We got the Red Wine & Cheese Flight. The cheese is absolutely amazing!!! The wine is great!!!

What a lovely little spot! We stopped in for a pre dinner drink, and we're excited to try their craft cocktails & cheese pairings. While I don't remember the exact names of our drinks, I DO remember the delicious pineapple foam on top of mine-what a treat! There is a small retail area that has all of the essentials to make your own board. They also serve their own! I'll be back to try a Bloody Mary, sangria, or both

I met a friend here last week and had a great experience! Julia was our bartender, and she provided excellent service and helpful suggestions. We ordered the white wine & cheese flight and red wine & cheese flight, and we each ordered a cocktail that was also paired with a cheese. I ordered the Babcock Boulevard, and my friend ordered the Hill Valley Bourbon Old Fashioned Sour. Everything tasted great and paired well with the cheeses. The atmosphere is loungy, and it is a great place to wind down, catch up with friends, or to take a date. Check it out!

Seeing everyone post about the new cheese bar at Hill Valley Dairy and had to check it out. It did NOT disappoint!! With delicious cocktails. Including the best bourbon old fashioned I've tried. (I prefer brandy sweet.) And the rum based Autumnal Beach Vibes. Each with a cheese pairing. The Classic Board was a perfect mix of salty and sweet treats. We ended up grabbing a couple of our favorite items, the Alina cheese and Bourbon Flank Steak to go! Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in picking out things we'd like.

Hill valley is such a fun spot to stop at if you're looking for unique Wisconsin cheeses to try and beverages to pair with. It is also in a super convenient location in the Walkers Point neighborhood as well. We had a great experience, everyone who helped us was so kind, and I love that it is a relaxed/chill atmosphere. I went with a friend to catch up and we got their specialty cocktail of the day and split their classic charcuterie board which featured a bunch of local products such as cheese, nuts, crackers, and more. It was SO delicious and I felt that the board serves anywhere from 2 to 3 (maybeee 4) people. I greatly enjoyed my fruity cocktail choice as well. They also offer different flight options for wines and cheeses which is a great idea if you can't decide what to get! I would very much recommend stopping at Hill Valley if you are a cheese or wine lover and are looking for a new/different experience!

Met up with some friends here. The environment is clean and modern. Staff are incredibly friendly and cool. The wine and cheese flight options are very cute and all the wines and cheeses tasted fantastic. You can even get a view of the cheese making process!! This would be a good date night, girls night, guys night, or even just an after work hangout spot

First time enjoying this local cheesemaker and will be back! At the suggestion of my daughter we visited the "cheese bar" and it was simply amazing! Staff immediately greeted us as we entered - entire team was very friendly and knowledgeable. This made for a wonderful night out with my grown kids. We enjoyed wine flights that included cheese pairings and nibbles. My daughter enjoyed a unique fresh and fruity cocktail with a delicious banana foam. The cheeses and wines were carefully selected and paired. These were great quality and decent pours. The server took time to explain each of the items included on our cheese board and flights - a real expert and we could tell they loved the cheese like we do! This would definitely be a great place to bring visitors to our city. We enjoyed a variety of cheeses and agreed they were all so good! We even got some meats, snacks and salted dark chocolates. The interior was clean and very pretty with comfortable mixed seating- we chose plush lovechair and chair seating. They sell the cheeses they serve - all are local and they make cheese on-site! The retail area is inviting with wines, cheese and local items for sale. It doesn't get fresher or better than that! Overall great experience and looking forward to our next visit.

Great new addition to Walkers Point! Stopped in for a lunchtime visit and had the Classic Board which was served with 3 cheeses, Lake Geneva Country cured meats, fruit, nuts, jam, Intelligentsia chocolate and cookies. Delicious and plenty for 2 people. My favorite cheese was Luna - cave rind offspring of alpine and Gouda. The soft Brie and 3 year cheddar were also very good. I never thought to pair chocolate and cheddar but it was so good. Location is a beautiful remodel of former cheese shop with a new cocktail bar vibe. Speaking of drinks, the menu of specialty cocktails, wine and beer was more than I expected at a cheese shop. I'll be back in the evening to try some of these. They offer multiple wine and cheese flights to choose from along with some additional food items. Staff was friendly and helpful. Met the owner/cheesemaker and learned a lot about the business and process of cheese making. There is even a window viewing area to watch them make the cheese. They were making fresh cheese curds when we were there. Finally you can buy Hill Valley Dairy cheese and other cheese makers products in their deli cases. Top tier stuff! Overall this new kid on the block is a must try if you love cheese and want a fun night out. PS they also own a shop in Lake Geneva which is equally great

They do a tremendous job of explaining the menu and food options in detail, and ensure you have a great experience from start to finish. The drinks? Nothing short of amazing. They vary the featured cocktails menu every 8 weeks, so most likely you'll get a different experience every time you go. However you can always get your classic cocktails like Margaritas, French 75 and Martinis. They also can do any drink NA which is the first of its kind in the US. They have an option called dealers choice, where you can pick the spirit and flavor profile of the drink you want: spicy, sour, floral, smoky etc. no limits! You write down on a card what you want and they craft you a cocktail based on your selections. They also offer a variety of food pairings to go along with the select, featured drink you order. We got spring rolls, a braised, pork infused doughnut, and an incredible bone broth that still has me in a tizzy. Fair warning: it's small and difficult to get a reservation - don't try your luck walking in, this place is a hot ticket and you won't be able to get in without a resy, which could be weeks or months out. This is a true gem of a cocktail bar, and is as good as anything you would find in New York or Chicago.

We stopped here after dinner, so we stuck mostly with the cocktails. Unfortunately, nothing on the seasonal menu really stuck out to me. I stuck with the "traditional" cocktails (spicy watermelon bubblegum, and then banana daiquiri). Hubs went for the halo halo food (which was so cute! All the typical ingredients but served in cubist fashion), and the paired drink. The paired drink was supposed to have different layers of flavor, but they all mixed together quite a bit. Tasty, just not the "layered" experience we thought. I think they almost do themselves a disservice comparing themselves to the aviary - that is a crazy high bar to meet. Granted, maybe we would have been more impressed if we had more of the seasonal cocktails despite them not seeming interesting? Probably wouldnt go out of my way to go here again, but it is a cool vibe and the cocktails were good.
