I've been here once before and was excited at the opportunity to go again. I went before the Xavier vs. Marquette basketball game at Fiserv to enjoy a few drinks with the people I was going with. The ambiance is fun and warm, and always very welcoming. It has that Wisconsin charm with a really cool wall of retro beer cans lined up, and Wisconsin merch everywhere. I also love the recreation of the Wisconsin state line sign that is hung up on the wall. I had a few spotted cows, when in Wisconsin, and they were refreshing and cold. The bartender was fast with our orders and had a lot of good suggestions for a few of my friends who were looking for specific drinks and beers. They have a large selection of drinks too which is nice! read more

Drink Wisconsinbly Pub is a Milwaukee staple that everyone needs to check out at least once. The Wisconsin touches are found throughout the bar from Badgers, Bucks, Packers, Brewers, and Marquette decor. They offer several company made beverages, liquors, and other things but I especially enjoy the various ways you can get a WI Style Old Fashioned. The staff is always kind and quick. (From September 2021) Been here twice, once on a Friday and on NFL Sunday week 1. Fridays atmosphere was darker more swingier although it wasn't that packed. That allowed me to try their brandy ol fashion which was served quickly. It was a strong one that snuck up on me but gave me something to sip as I walked around the area. The atmosphere is much better on Sunday especially for football. There's raffles and more diverse groups of people in attendance making for a better experience. Obviously it's a packers crowd so you will stand out if you're not wearing a pack jersey. Chatted up some fans who were bummmed about losing to the Saints but kept it friendly. They have a great happy hour on weekdays and weekends: $5 drafts, $7 brandy slushy (highly recommend), and more. It's so ridiculously close to Fiserv Forum that I imagine it's packed during non-Covid games. They have an excellent Bloody Mary mix and did I mention the brandy shush? I really wanted to like this place. It is a bit touristy with all of their merch, but it is near the lake and they have a great selection of beer and I like their food policy that you can bring it in from other spots. But all that said, if you have anyone in your family/friends, who is part of the LGBTQ communities, this is not a safe place for them. read more

My partner and I were lured in on our walk home from dinner by a sign outfront that was advertising Old Fashioneds and slushies to go. Naturally, we stopped in and got a drink for our walk back to the hotel. The bubbler that filled our drinks was super cool. It was a good, strong pour, and I love the fact that it came topped with a cheese curd. Stopped into Drink Wisconsinbly prior to a basketball game. There was one other couple seated and the bar and two staff members. My friend and I were not greeted by a staff member, although took a seat at the other bar. Later to find out, this bar would not open until later in the day. Never the less, we went and grabbed a Bloody Mary. The first bloody was served with a lemon, lime, and meat stick. The Bloody Mary mix was very good! My friend had the brandy slush which is delicious!! The bartender did change the tv for us to accommodate the game we wanted to watch. The crowd began to flood in and it became a popular pregame spot! The bar was understaffed but the manager appreciated everyone's patience. We ordered a second Bloody Mary and this one was served with celery, lemon, lime, cheese curds, and a beer. It was odd the bloody Mary's were not the same, but we thoroughly enjoyed both! Tl:dr quirky bar for a fun night out Sort of obsessed with this bar and have only been there a handful of times. A lot of "Up North" and "your grandpa's basement" vibes, but in a cool way. Flannel, taxidermy animals that have horns (but probably shouldn't), a giant wall with all of Wisconsin's rivers and just other quirky stuff that I dig. THE OLD FASHION COMES WITH A SQUEAKY CHEESE CURD. Need I say more ??? This place knows it's Wisconsin-inspired drinks (the bartenders are super fun, getting people involved in bar dice or guessing the music tracks that are on) HINT: one is probably from "The Goofy Movie" soundtrack .... don't ask. ;) Will definitely be back, we took shelter there on a cold night, but I think it has a cool garage-door-style front that opens in summer, so I'm already looking forward to that. read more

Really quite enjoyed our visit here. We went on a week night the week before St. Patrick's. There were a few people in there and then a few regulars came and went. Other than that, the bar was empty. And coming from a home-body, this was heaven! I was a little disappointed to see that they took the pork belly BLT off the menu. I inquired about this to Andy, the bartender, to which he said that they change up the menu to go along with the beers that they currently have. So, I opted to get some fried cheese curds because that's the most Wisconsin thing you can do. My ex-wife and her friend shared the poutine fries, which they loved. I'm like meh about gravy on my fries, so I didn't care about it. I then opted to just get the wings, which I thought were very good. They come on a bed of fries, which is not optional. The ex got the fish fry, which I liked too. Andy whipped us up some great cocktails and shots. He's definitely a good mixologist. You want something delicious?! Ask him! He makes great things! And he's good at making Hurricanes too! The whole thing was quite pleasant and although I don't expect most nights to be like that, we'd go just to hang out with Andy! He's very down-to-earth; it made for a great experience. You can order a round of drinks for the cooks in the kitchen, which we obviously did. We love that. Walker's Point is rapidly becoming my go-to area in Milwaukee for finding great eats and drinks. So many amazing businesses in this area of town! And, Drink Wisconsinbly Pub is no exception. Came here for some late night eats. We bellied up to the bar and began our experience by ordering their Soul Boxer bourbon Old Fashioned (awesome). For dinner, my dining companion opted for their grilled cheese, which comes served on marble rye with a side of their house made kettle chips. Both were delicious (he let me try). The house made kettle chips were beautifully thin, salty, and crispy with a light dusting of parm. Amazing. I ordered their pork belly BLT with a side of cheesy tots. The BLT was solid. The cheesy tots were crisp and fabulous. They serve them with the beer cheese on the side for dipping (and consequently? No sogginess!). Our bartender/server was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The atmosphere is cozy and super comfortable, offering a chill, casual kind of vibe. All in all? I'll be back. Soon. What a great little spot! Now, I remember (barely, lol) when this used to be Triangle. I had very fuzzy memories flooding back to those club nights as I pulled up in the Uber because I had NO IDEA that it had been converted to this neat little pub and eatery! While I waited for my friends, I ordered one of their beer + shot specials and had the most adorable server. She said "Awesome-sauce!" and all the other quaint Wisconsinisms one takes with you when you move out of state. We ordered Wisconsinachos, Fried Cheese Curds and the Turkery Burger with goat cheese to share. Everything was delicious, the brats on the nachos were a nice twist with great flavor and the atmosphere was amazing. If I could buy one of those custom lamp shades, I totally would. The menu has been reduced, but they kept the most popular items, I assume, and are still crushing it! Some of the best cheese curds and wings in the city are here. Seriously, I don't think these wings are getting their due. They are rubbed with a delicious seasoning blend and grilled. The end result is an order of large, juicy, crispy, and super delicious wings! I opted for the DW Burger, which is a double patty topped with caramelized onions, bacon, onion strings, and Merkt's cheddar cheese spread. I also upgraded to the cheesy tots, as a side, even though I love their shoestring fries. This place was a hoot. We came here after the Dodgers Brewers game and had a great time with our server Alyssa who somehow kept up great service while playing What Do You Meme with our group - awesome server! We got a few orders of cheese curds which were fantastic. A mix of two cheeses fried and breaded to perfection so when you bit in the white and orange concoction of cheese oozed out which was a beautiful sight as an out of town visitor. I follow the motto drink Wisconsinbly everywhere I go. So it was a must that I check out the restaurant slash bar with this name. And what better night to do this then Friday night. Tons of local beer available here. On Fridays I tend to start with mixed drinks. Old Fashions here are super great garnished with a squeaky cheese curd makes it an ideal favorite for the locals. Tried the cheese curds and also the Bavarian pretzel. Not a fan of the pretzel but the cheese curds were cheesehead approved. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed watching the pedal taverns bike by while we waited for our food. Wait was not longer then 20 minutes for our food. Settled on two fish fries, seven layer salad, and a chicken sandwich with house-made potato chips. Fish fry was terrific nice batter well seasoned french fries crispy. Seven layer salad was top-notch and thoroughly enjoyed by the guest who ordered it. Chicken sandwich was also very good. Love the Wisconsin atmosphere here great place for appetizers, dinner, or just to catch a drink if you're in the neighborhood. There was a birthday group that was in the middle of trying to get their drinks when we walked in. After 30 minutes of watching the struggle we left, having never gotten a single drink. Definitely recommend stopping in at Drink Wisconsinbly! It's a small space, so they get busy fast, just a heads up! They have old fashioned specials, a spotted cow and tully special for like 6 bucks, and a few more. Don't forget to grab yourself a DW sticker! The tater tots I had there last were really freaking good and served with beer cheese to dip in. It was weird a few days beforehand I was craving 7 layer salad, my mom used to make it a lot. When I saw it on the menu - YAY! I was happy to satisfy my craving. They had two sizes availble: a small side and a larger bowl. I like having those size options! Not sure how they've been doing with the shirts. I remember going in there awhile back and they had such little inventory which really perplexed me, this is a major draw and a revenue stream to have your shirts in stock? Service has usually been good, my last visit was a little "off" not sure why the server decided to close out all of her checks at the computer instead of bringing me my beer. I finally asked if she wanted me to go grab it myself (a few feet away, again the place is small) and she said she had to wait for bartender to "make" it. It was a beer. My question did at least prompt her to go and look for it and of course it was sitting there. Then when I moved to the bar after spots opened up I had to shout "excuse me" almost every time I wanted something which seemed to annoy the bartender a bit, but how else do I get served? I don't know, service lacked and especially when there was not one but two bartenders working the bar. Don't focus too much time on your pals and playing bar dice, there might be others who actually want to order stuff. Good food. Awesome pretzel and cheese for appetizer!!! I was with a party of 4 and we all order different entrees. I had an amazing cheeseburger and fries. The shoestring fries were seasoned really well. Drinks were a little more pricey than anticipated. It was someone's birthday and they played one of my most favorite songs ever: Britney Spears "Work Bitch." Guess who knows the dance routine? Me! I'm dancing like a crazy fool, and everyone was so into their conversations and whatnot that it was like the music was only playing in my head. Service was pretty poor.... 90% of the crowd was drinking at the bar or high top tables. We were there for food and sat in a booth. There was maybe 1 other booth of people ordering food. It was just after 8pm. Our waitress kept vanishing - perhaps she was also taking drink orders from others but we did not observe that. And it was REALLY LOUD. Obnoxiously so. I understand they are a bar + resturant but it was before 10pm. The music was at a volume you would expect at 1am in a bar trying to be a club on a Friday night (like Eastsiders). There were a surprising # of patrons standing around and drinking, again was a tad odd given the time. And these people - the clientele - snooty, make-way-too-much-money-in-a-meaningless-job, late 20s/early to mid 30s mostly in their work attire who are "too cool" for fun (as I witnessed) but still want to feel like they are in Suite nightclub. Not my type of people. This first visit was dissapointing. I was really looking forward to checking Drink Wisconsinibly out and had heard good things. Im willing to give it another shot as I do want to try that Old Fashion they have on tap. Had to check this place out because I have only heard good things! I went to Drink Wisconsibly Pub for a Packer game earlier this season and it was jam packed. Luckily, a group of friends and I lucked out and got a booth right in front of the TV. I had a hard cider along with the cheese curds. The cheese curds were delicious. The bar was Wisconsin themed, but in a tasteful manner. Loved it! I heard they have a great outdoor patio too. Will definitely be stopping back for a drink or two soon. read more

Service was good as well. Our server was slammed but didn't feel ignored. They only fell short on our chili. The chili was good but when we ordered two bowls our waitress said they only has one bowl left. No big i said, just bring one then. The atmosphere is just what you'd expect from their online brand turned bar - everything Wisconsin. There are homages all to places all over the state including cities many of you can't pronounce. They've got their new DW Lager, too. A very expansive outdoor patio makes this a great stop on a sunny day. Well, today I learned that it IS possible for me to like Drink Wisconsinably more. What's that you say, JT? What could you like MORE when DW has some of the best Old Fashioneds in the city, a WI-centric tap list and delightful service? Well friends, today I tried their food. Let's talk about the wings which are some of the biggest I've seen in the area. They're dry rubbed with a cumin/BBQ mix and grilled up crispy, served with homemade ranch or blue cheese. Or maybe you'd rather have some fresh battered cheese curds, again served with a really good garlicky ranch? Since both items, along with ALL drinks (including the delicious old fashioned) are 1/2 price from 4-6 I say get both and treat yo'self. But save room for their burgers. Alas, the Monday burger special is no more (replaced by a more comprehensive daily HH) but the burgers are still worth ordering. They're 1/4, smash burger style and really damn good. My only wish is for pickles but I made do by chopping up my dill pickle spear - sometimes you have to get creative. Upgrade to the cheesy tots and live your best life, or stick with their respectable skinny fries. I need to come here more. read more

Cheese curds and brats were selected for dinner... all very yummy. Started with an Old Fashion of course. Tasty. My cheese curd wasn't squeaky, but the drink was good. Had the DW Burger: burger with fried onions, crispy fried onion straws, cease spread, bacon. Too much onion. I ended up scraping off the fried onions. Got kettle chips that were okay, made better by the beer cheese dipping sauce. Happy to say that DW didn't disappoint. The drinks: Perfection. They basically had a muddling assembly line going for all the old fashioned they were making. Any place with a Harvey Wallbanger on the menu = solid gold. The theme: Classic "ode to WI" decor without overdoing it (I love me some Camp Bar, but they realllly try to be "up north" - I'm from up north, and bars don't look like Camp - DW finds a nice balance). A nice mix of homey and trendy. The theme is carried throughout with food/drink names - and even the WIFI password is a former Packers player. The space: On the small side - but a good mix of booths, tables, high tops and bar seating. A few TVs throughout the place, but it's definitely not a "sports bar" place. They also have their own small nearby parking lot - or plenty of street parking nearby. The food: Of course I got the Fish Fry. For $13 it was three LARGE pieces of cod and a mountain of skinny fries. Also included the obligatory marble rye bread, tartar sauce (kind of runny, looked like ranch really - but I don't like tartar anyway so I didn't care) and DELICIOUS slaw. I'm a slaw snob and I basically licked the ramekin, so, it was good. The service: All the staff was delightful. The bartenders were great and were really busting tail to be prompt and helpful, even with a full house. They even drew a cartoon on my to-go box for me! Sitting at the bar, our group had a lot of fun for our Friday night happy hour / dinner. Think of Drink Wisconsinbly as homey,Wisconsin themed bar with upscale bar food and local drinks. Old fashioneds are plentiful as well as local brews are served. The ladies room is adorned with a photo of Joanie and I assume the men's room probably has a photo of Chachi on it. Inside the ladies room you see photos of Hollywood cheeseheads with well wishing signatures. It reminds you that a few famous people did hail from our state. One wall has the map of WI as wallpaper...epic! I opted for the pork belly sandwich which per menu was served on pretzel bread....at first read I thought the pretzel bun which would not have been as amazing. The pork had a lightly smokey taste to it while nestled with grilled cabbage and a nice tart cheese. The sandwich had the perfect mix of crunch, smoke, and tart. Everyone had sandwich envy at the table...I could barely spare a bite for people. I upgraded to the haystring onions which typically are a good call. It seemed like the oil wasn't hot enough so they weren't as crisp as I like but overall still good. Everyone tried a different dipping sauce so we could choose from pickle aioli, spicy ranch, beer cheese, and a horsey type sauce. They were all unique and delicious as we dipped the shoestring french fries into the tasty goodness. Others at the table had the butter burgers and the chicken sandwich. The butter burger was described as being exactly like Culver's which depending on the person could either be good or bad. My friend enjoyed his chicken sandwich which served on a ciabatta bun. Personally I think the pork belly sandwich is the way to roll here. Service was decent and they are still working out a few kinks but nothing major. I look forward to returning and trying the appetizers and some dessert. I will probably repeat the pork belly sandwich and a different side. The potato salad that a friend tried was unique because of the grilled potatoes so that might be a good non-deep fried option. read more
