Caught fish on every trip on the lake! Crappie, Bluegill, Perch and Bass is what we fish for. The cabins/homes are very clean, and Donna and Andy are extremely friendly and attentive to whatever we needed. Real nice sand beach swimming area. Free WiFi in the cabins/homes. Had canoes, paddle boat and kayaks for use. Cute little activity room available with a foosball table and some pinball machines. We'd recommend you check them out! It was our first trip there and have already booked for 2020!

Someone needs to do quality control. Those ribs should not have been served. The baked potato option was good the brocolli option was bad, tasted odd left it on the plate. Mentioned it to the server with no response. The salad I had was a little wilted and one piece of greens was black and shriveled on the end of one of the stems. The old fashions were spot on. The bartender, he's top notch. Service was just okay nothing special. This will be the last time for Thursday nite special for us. The meals alone were 54 bucks and the only good part of the meal was the bread and broasted chicken which were both prepared fresh. Their Sunday all you can eat chicken dinner is really good.

Or was it the friendly and welcoming proprietors Lou and Colleen? One thing I am sure of is that I would love to come again and again. There are two rental cabins that are attached (connected) perfect for large family gatherings as each cabin has a bunk bed and another separate room with bed. Shower and bathroom, full size fridge, and a stove. There is another log cabin available but I did not see that one. Also, there is a bar with a pool table that can be rented for family gatherings as well. There is a private ramp (boat launch) and multiple docks right outside the cabins that are only 30 to 40 feet from the water. This place is magical. Come here from the city to completely unplug and unwind in this wooden paradise. I can't say enough about this place or Lou snd Colleen!

She takes great care of the cabins and always has great suggestions when you ask her about anything local from food to activities. The property is great for walks and there's some horses and donkeys to check out too. Our dogs always feel at home on the ranch. We love to ride ATV trails and Spur of the Moment has trail access. You ride from your front door to anywhere you like in the area, no trailering. On our last trip we brought a side x side and all the great trails permitted our lager machine. All of the meals we ate out we did by riding our machines to and Ann supplied us with maps so we knew where we were going. The trail system has so many local and long distant places to go to it's good for beginners as well as veterans. Last thing that we've always enjoyed is the other guests. The Ranch is not only good to ATV'ers it's VERY horse friendly. On a busy weekend you can have all types of guests and on every trip we've done it's never mattered what you're into, people are just friendly. It's flat out relaxing.

Property lines up along a scenic lake with a foot bridge to get to the boathouse. Plenty of grey, black, and orange/red squirrels, chipmunks, and seven deer roam the grounds. We saw the deer at sunrise and dusk. Open the curtain to the siding glass door and the deer look right at you. *Photo op I tell you. The kitchen is stocked rather well with most cooking and serving items you need for meals inside. Patio has a small grill. Our two bedroom two bathroom unit has one bathroom on each level. That means no master bathroom. We made it work for us for the time we were here. One thing we didn't like is there wasn't any extra boxes of tissues. We came for Spring Break and we have seasonal allergies. Thankfully we didn't run out of tissues. There was plenty of towels and tp, oh and blankets. Decorated in mountain cabin and bear motifs. Sturdy (and clean) chairs, couches and rocking chairs. Plenty of places to sit and read. Master bedroom has a sliding glass door that leads to a private balcony. Lower level sliding glass door leads to a patio that's part of the common area. And deer hang around here. Located an hour or more from several ski resorts in both WI and upper peninsula MI. Keweenaw peninsula is a great day trip from here.

We arrived just before 4 PM on Saturday (before the office closed) but their clocks must be fast versus our cell phones. We dropped off our paperwork and finally saw someone the day we checked out. The beds were not uncomfortable but we didn't sleep well. Overall, everything was fine but not great.

Also, it was extremely clean clean. The fishing was very good with a variety of fish(Crappie, walleye, perch, smallmouth and a 40" musky). I would recommend this house for your next fishing or snowmobile trip. The owner, Ron, was nice and friendly person. We will be back.

First off..what a great weekend! My wife,dog (and baby to be) and another couple of married friends…read more(and their 2 year old) all headed up to Ron's Hideway for the extended weekend and it was fantastic. First off a fully furnished house with dish, dvd player, and all the other great amenities and placed right on the water with you're own private dock is a rare find (not that we used much more than the coffee maker due to all the fishing). Personally I spent much of the weekend kayak fishing and boat fishing with my buddy, and the ladies enjoyed the peace and solitude that water front property in the north woods of WI affords. Suffices to say we are very happy with the weekend, especially compared to more than double the rates we have paid in the past for a run down cabin much more removed from the water. Lastly..taking a boat across the lake to a bar/restaurant to enjoy a few WI brews and deliver a great pizza back to the house at 11pm is an experience I'll not forget. All in all - great experience, and we'll be back. Highly recommended.
