Nice place with good food. It is a bit noisy and not particularly kid friendly.. but for a drink(s) and food it's great.

Great service and burgers, but very noisy. Our group was in an alcove area, so maybe other areas were more quiet.

While there is signage in both the front and the rear of the building you could easily mistake this place for a dive bar or even being shut down. I assure you, it's not. Once you walk in you notice a beautifully decorated lounge. Floor to ceiling mirrors ans drapes make the room appear much larger than it is. Nice leather chairs creating little seating areas and the bar can hold about 12 people. There is lots of music/musician memorabilia on the walls and some fun fixtures. Our party of 7 took up the last available seats in the otherwise packed house. We were greeted by a very busy, yet smiling, owner, Angie. She let us know she had a few drinks to make and would be back to take our order. She was the only one behind the bar and was struggling a bit to keep up. Had lots of hustle, though. The wait was a little longer than one would like be but not bad. The drinks were worth the wait. Our party of 7 all ordered something different and we all very much enjoyed our drinks. On top of well made cocktails, the prices were more than reasonable - all between $9-$12 a drink. I very much enjoyed my experience and would absolutely recommend this little lounge.

Plenty of seating although it seemed like a lot of the tables were very close to each other so not much privacy unless you are in a booth. Loved the individual bathroom stalls, very clean and private. The food was amazing!! We didn't know what to expect here but the food was cooked to perfection, shoutout to the chef for making the noodles Al dente, especially the rice noodles. Being Asian I know how hard it can be to get the right texture for rice noodles but they were perfect! Flavors were incredible. Portions were plentiful, we shared two entrees and two apps between 4 girls and we had leftovers and we were all starving too. Love the vibes here, definitely feels more upscale yet casual. Drinks looked really good too but we did not want to day drink this time.

The crème brûlée was a little too sweet for me but was a great deal at $9 Looking forward to trying their brunch and coming back again for more menu items or just to sit at the bar

It is quite small inside and is definitely not suitable for large groups. I also felt the seating prioritized style over comfort. This is your typical millennial trendy burger joint that serves water with no ice in a small glass, has higher prices for the portions you are getting, and seems to just have one or two people working. Service was a little slow as it picked up around dinner time. For food, I got the dry rub wings and mac n cheese. My friend got a burger and chips and queso. The food is pretty good. I liked the wings, they had quite a kick to them, and the fries and queso were good. I was not impressed with the mac n cheese. Since Rockford is a small town, I am sure this place fills a void with the limited options they have but I also don't need to return.

Everyone at the table commented on how good the food was - great flavors, generous portions, and well‑made drinks. We've always loved Willy's On the Water, but this experience really confirmed that they're a fantastic choice for larger parties as well. The manager, Gavin, and his staff--from hostesses to servers--were amazing and incredibly helpful throughout the event. I sat on the patio area and although the weather was decent, it would be nice if the restaurant had some mist machines or light fans or something for guests. I ordered my food and was disappointed in the quality. The steak was very hard and overcooked. When it came time for the bill, my total tab was $29.50. I gave the waitress Barbra (2) $20 bills.. so $40 total. I asked for change back to I could give an appropriate tip. Barbra brought back a $10 bill and shortened me cash... the restaurant was busy and I did wait to see if I could get her attention. I did have things to do today so I just took a loss on my change and left the tip. Just wanted to leave a review in hopes of the restaurant ensuring their wait staff gives customers their change! In this economy every penny counts. I hope they can continue to improve on the ambiance and food quality as well.

But they just don't seem to have that attention to detail. The serving staff is spotty - usually friendly, but not top notch. And let's talk about something that bugs us. Multiple times when we ordered the french fries they've come out burnt or in a pile of 1 inch long potatoes. The french fries are delicious and a highlight of the experience, but why they have trouble consistently giving you a nice serving of fries, I don't understand. Additionally, the last two times we've been there we've had to fight off fruit flies. Once - I can understand - a second time, swatting off and slapping fruit flies is not okay. Tipsy - you can do better.

It was a bit of a trek through rush-hour traffic from our hotel but so completely worth the trip. Discretely located through a door marked only by a red light above it we were warmly greeted by gentleman behind the hardware counter. We were prepared to answer with the password to let us in but for some reason it wasn't asked. No big deal. You are then sent through a door into the beautifully dimly-lit space of the speakeasy. There is plenty of seating, with small tables and some booths. We were shown to our table and greeted by one of the great, friendly hostesses. Drinks are ordered directly at the bar with one of the attendants. You immediately pay for your order which will then be brought to your table. Different but really a nice idea. The music was also nicely unique, with a mix of oldies from the 50's and 60's. An old black and white James Cagney movie played silently on one wall. In terms of the cocktails I have to say these are some of the most delicious and finely crafted drinks I've enjoyed. I began with the Start Your Engine, a delicious gin-based drink. My wife had an absolutely fantastic smoked Old Fashioned, smoked in a large box for a minute or two. Wow! Probably the best we've ever tasted. My second drink was another gin cocktail, the Last Word, which I'd been wanting to try for some time. A fine gin supported by green Chartreuse and lime, this was simply sublime. Highly recommended. The bar and menu is quite varied and extensive, so you're sure to find something to your liking. The space has a great vibe and mellow ambiance. Sufficiently dark, cozy and very nicely and eclectically decorated. Service was outstanding and informative. Reservations are recommended. Like many such places you are "limited" to 90-minute timeframes, which sometimes seems like not enough but ultimately works quite well. The quality of the cocktails, space and service all make for a really enjoyable time. Well worth many visits.
