It is that good (ok the Perfect Storm Burger) Welcoming staff, amazing server (thank you Crystal!) and great food. I tend to order burgers while in travel and the Perfect Storm completely clew me away! Amazing flavor, perfectly cooked and the ideal bread to meat ratio. Kudos to the owners who are staying with the idea of a scratch kitchen, the food quality speaks for itself. In these times of over the top restaurant prices, I have zero issues eating here. The dry-aged pork chop was juicy, big, and topped with crispy sweet potatoes and fig glaze such a great combo. Plenty of sides to choose from, which is a nice bonus. Had a lunch meeting with NBC's John Ziegler (Minnesota's best meteorologist) and we decided to try Grackle. The vibe is great--such a noticeable upgrade from the previous tenant but honestly, the food is even better. We ordered the tostada salad with spicy shredded chicken and the steak wrap, and both were outstanding. They've also got a really solid drink list, but since it was a lunch meeting we kept it simple. I have passed this place sooo many times since it opened and decided it was time to give it a shot! So glad we did! There is plenty of free parking! I would recommend getting a reservation. Walking in I was marveled at how chic this restaurant looks. I was able to get a seat at the bar right away. Service was great checking in frequently. I decided to do mango everything and it was the perfect pairing. My drink of choice was Unwritten (by Natasha Bedingfield), it was light, sweet, and refreshing. The Mango Shrimp Tacos were beyond unique. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, with a lot of spice. The mango, toasted coconut slaw, and honey-lime aioli helped tone the spice down a bit but added to the overall flavor of the meal. I will get this again and again! My Fiancé and I love having this restaurant in Maple Grove! The food is great. However, we decided to come here for our Anniversary dinner and did not have the best service. First, our waitress forgot about my lemonade until I reminded her and she forgot she had to pour it. Second, we had a hard time waving her down to get an order put in, get her to refill drinks and take away empty plates, even though she was walking past multiple times so there was a lot of waiting. Third, I'm dairy free and we noted that in our reservation and she knew that as well. At the end, she said we get a Crème Brûlée for a dessert for our anniversary. I reminded her that I cannot have dairy and asked if we could do sorbet instead and she said that we cannot switch it. Grackle's new summer menu has been so good that my mom and I have already been back twice in one week! The standout dish for us is the Peanut Papaya Salad. The dressing is absolutely incredible, and every ingredient is beautifully julienned so you get the perfect combination of flavors and textures in every bite. The Summer Stracciatella Salad was also delicious and packed with fresh fruit and creamy cheese, though the dressing was a bit thick. We were told they're still fine-tuning the recipe, and we're excited to see how it evolves. Some of our longtime favorites that we keep coming back for are the Yellowfin Tuna Stacker and the Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake. Everything at Grackle tastes incredibly fresh, and the scratch-made sauces and dressings really set them apart. Highly recommend checking out the summer menu. We arrived around 4:45 PM, and it wasn't busy, but it took over 10 minutes for anyone to greet us. It took another 15 minutes just to place our order. **Food came out quickly once ordered**, which we appreciated. We started with the **Tuna Stacker** -- it was good, fresh, and flavorful, but I didn't love how the sauce was underneath everything. Would've preferred it on the chip itself for better balance. The chip was too big, the ratio was off. 6.5/10 My husband got the **Perfect Storm Burger** great flavor overall, though the bacon was a bit overpowering. 7/10 I had the **Gochujang Chicken Sandwich** -- unfortunately, it was a bit one-note. The chicken was juicy. The tomato and lettuce didn't really work with it; something like a slaw or creamy sauce would've helped balance it better. 5/10 The **Sriracha Honey Lime sauce** was amazing definitely a must-try! 10/10 **Truffle aioli** was pretty standard. 8/10 **Fries** were fantastic crisp, hot, and well-seasoned. 7.5/10 The **kids' chicken tenders** looked great too solid portion and fresh.7/10 We'll probably give Grackle another shot. The place gets busy very quickly. My friend opted for couple of appetizers. She got the Mango Shrimp tacos with toasted coconut slaw, diced mango, fresno peppers and Sriracha honey lime aioli and the Elote dip which came with housemade tortillachips. I was in the mood for a burger so ended up getting the perfect storm burger with Monterey cheese, Bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion and Calabria chili aioli on a brioche bun. We both loved the food. Ended up getting the Mango coconut cheesecake for dessert and it was to die for. It's a must try if you are a cheesecake fan. Dip was good and came with a huge portion of bread but the portion of dip itself was a little small given the $15 price. Mango shrimp tacos had a nice spice and they tasted good but again though there was 3 they were very small. We also had the smash burgers and the perfect storm burger. Perfect storm was the preferred burger. It was a huge size and had a nice spicy flavor. We didn't care much for the sauces we picked on the side but they weren't extra so no big deal. Service was good. We went on Halloween night at 5:00 and it was surprisingly pretty quiet, wasn't much of a vibe. There was still lots of parking available as well. Skin on thicker but not steak fries. Reasonably seasoned, not too dry not too moist, crispy outside. Very, very good. Basil asparagus risotto. Good gawd y'all. I make my own at home, a lemon asparagus risotto that's a pretty popular dish, hot or cold. One bite and I was overly impressed. I used to be proud of mine until I ate this. Balanced flavor that stands out. The steak.... The steak. I went with the NY medium rare. Perfect amount of seasoning. It complimented the steak without over performing or not being present enough. The temperature was perfect. Came out HOT. No brown/gray ring around the medium rare. It went sear medium rare all the way through. There was no paper thin well ring just under the sear and there was no rare in the middle. Which I would not have been mad about. MR all the way through. The cherry on top though... exactly the right amount of char. Enough to add to the flavor without overpowering. This steak probably wasn't the best one I've EVER had. But it's probably top five and in the discussion. National steakhouses could learn something from how good this was. It was perfection. I'm a bit snobby about almost nothing. But steak needs to be prepared to a certain level. This FAR exceeded my expectations. The ONLY problem with a meal presented so well it would keep me from exploring the rest of the menu. Building on the foundation of community, Grackle has curated a farm-to-table menu highlighting both seasonal and local treasures exclusively found in Minnesota. At the heart of their approach, most (if not all) of the food items on their menu are sourced fresh, and, most importantly, all are local. Moreover, all of Grackle's food - from the syrups in their cocktails, to their mouth-watering array of sauces - is made entirely from scratch, beautifully executed by their kitchen staff. The feel of comfort and hospitality doesn't end with Grackle's food, but rather is extended through their hospitality. Regardless of the type (or size) of establishment you are, one of the most fundamental traits that inevitably will distinguish and contribute to the overall success and longevity of an eatery is how it treats its diners. I enjoyed a savory "Tomato Basil Steak Sandwich". The warmth & freshness of the freshly made pita bread, wrapped around a perfectly marinated, grilled steak, was the stuff of dreams. Charged with lettuce, charred cherry tomatoes that exploded at bite, and an exquisite basil sauce that married all of the fixings together, every bite of this sandwich was savior than the last. As a side, I went for the Yucca fries. The Yucca was fried to perfect crispness. Served with two of their house-made sauces: "Sun-Dried Tomato Aioli" & "Chimichurri Aioli", this side made the meal a home run! Our table also enjoyed the "Picantería Rice Bowl". Sensational! The best way to enjoy this dish was to sample a little bit of everything in one bite. The pinto beans were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Same for the rice and sweet plantains. While this may seem like "simpler" elements on a dish, getting the right flavor profiles, textures, and flavors for each of these components to then marry them together into such a special dish is genuinely exceptional. Bravo for all of our meals! As well as our drinks. You cannot go wrong with "The Test Kitchen Margarita", even if you're not into Tequila. It's refreshing, light, not too sour, and the right amount of booze. The "Grackle Mule" was also delightful in flavor and taste. The decor of this restaurant is stunning. Industrial, mixed with modern farmhouse and touches of luxe throughout (gorgeous light fixtures!) Grackle designer revamped this space into a beautiful dining room that accommodates both large and small groups, with ample space between patrons to dine comfortably. Excellent lighting as well. There is also a covered patio that we did not venture out to due to how busy the restaurant was, but that area (and the bar) were both lively and inviting. Overall: Value: 10/10; Food Quality: 10/10; Customer Service: 10/10! I look forward to returning to Grackle, whether it's for lunch, dinner (again), or Happy Hour. We started with some non-alcoholic drinks which took quite a while to come out, but were tasty. However I did think $12 for a kombucha seemed a little steep. For dinner we ordered the salmon and the tostada salad with chicken. Both were 10/10! The food was great and we'd definitely come back to try more of the menu. I'd also try to come during happy hour because it ended up being $91 for 2 ppl for dinner which was more than I was hoping considering we didn't get an app or alcohol.
