Next time you're travelling on highway 10, make a pit stop at Outpost! The place is so Minnesota, it feels like you're up north (like, way up north). We love coming to Outpost for lunch, and they also have a great breakfast menu! We came during the Vikings game on Sunday and they had a ton of specials going on. This place is priced right and the staff makes everyone feel like regulars! We have always had great service. They offer takeout, and we love to order pizza and wings to go. I am finding myself at Outpost more and more frequently and for good reason. From the second I walk in I'm instantly whisked away to a up north country lodge vibe. A bar/restaurant filled with blue collared regulars catching the game, jammed to some tunes, and drowning their sorrows with some good ol' fashioned bar fare. The service has always been excellent. Wait staff and bartenders all friendly and inviting. Small town, local bars can I often be somewhat intimidating but Outpost makes everyone feel at home. Daily specials and more than reasonable happy hour makes it easy to indulge without hurting your wallet. Daily features include half priced burgers on Tuesday and half priced wings on Thursday, to name a couple. And happy hour, runs until 7:00! I've enjoyed a number of items on the menu and have been disappointed by anything. The wings are some of the best I've had. Burger is what you would expect from a small town country bar, pretty damn good. Pizza, probably could be better but not bad for sharing. This is a spot I will return to again and again. 5/5 for staff 5/5 for food 5/5 for parking 4.5/5 for pricing 3/5 for building, love the pine but, kind of generic setting 2/5 for tap selection Love the staff, love the food, love the parking. Tons of pull tabs to play. The food is amazing. Recently stopped for some wings and could not get over how awesome they were cooked. The flavors were good. My buddy and I agreed the Diablo was our favorite. There's a lot to love here which is probably why it's so popular. I've been here many times with my Aunt and Grandma, and their pizza is also top notch. Would love to give it a 4.5 rating but, that's not how Yelp works. This is probably more like a 3.5 star, as I am a huge proponent of wings and the Outpost has a good selection of flavors! They aren't standout, best in class... but they're sizable with plenty of choices and get the job done. More of a wing and beer while watching the game type place, but nothing wrong with that! read more

Great parking, Cheri was our server and she was very attentive to our table of five. She was patient so we could see what we wanted and helped us so we made choices we would like. Food came up in a timely manner, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and it was really good. My friends ordered tacos and potatoes and they seemed equally happy, thanks Cheri for making our trip there worth wild. Okay well as you see I rated this 4 stars and there is multiple reasons for that. I rated this lower but really it's a 4.5. And that's only because the noise... whenever I go eat there it is so unbelievably loud and I can't hear anyone talking to me so unless you go there in the morning it is really loud. But other than that the food is great and especially the breakfast food the Service is great and the waiters are really friendly one waitresses name is Mickey and she is like a family friend at this point so if you go there in the morning there is a 40% chance you will get her. Good selection of bar food & tap beers. We were a party of 6 (3 couples NOT sitting by our partners) and our waitress got everything correct, including the 3 separate bills. My dry rub wings were as good as any expensive wing place! The only hiccup was when the men ordered tap beers, they got TWO of them (happy hour)....not that they complained. read more

Arrived 10:45, crabby lazy barmaid approaches us at 10:55 and says breakfast was. over 15 mins earlier. Make sure to get there early and don't sit at the bar. Fat Nats in Brooklyn Center was greeted with a smile, served coffee and ordered within 5 mins. BTW it is very busy here. read more

DONT GO HERE. My boyfriend, friend and I went here to celebrate my birthday, and we wanted to just have a good time and mind our own business. My boyfriend ordered the Mike burger and didn't like it, so he wanted to send it back and get a different one. The server refused and made him keep the burger, no exceptions. My boyfriend and I were getting angry because he hadn't even touched the burger because it looked unappetizing, and all he wanted was his money back. The server refused, and she looked my boyfriend straight in the face and dumped his burger in the trash and ran back to the kitchen yelling about "TABLE 16 IS TRYING TO START A FIGHT" so this prompted a group of 10-15 old men to run at us and sucker punch my boyfriend. My boyfriend had to defend himself and broke a glass on the guys face so he went to the hospital. Bottom line, our server was a nasty old lady who was disrespectful and The opposite of courteous, she also made a group of old men attack us FOR NO REASON. Keep in mind we are 23 year old KIDS. Please keep this review in mind next time you go to this establishment and think twice about where you want to spend your hard earned money...... read more

Got this place recommended by a local. We had originally gone elsewhere however they were closed and this gentleman in the parking lot when we were leaving suggested it. I have to say I was not too keen on going to a bar and tavern for breakfast but I was hungry!! It was 10 am and the place was relatively busy. The server greeted us pretty much as soon as we sat down. A very warm and welcoming gentleman. He offered us drinks while we perused the menu. Hot and delicious coffee arrived almost immediately. He took our order shortly thereafter. Once the food arrived we were very impressed by the amount of food. We both had the "everything skillet" and fried eggs. Eggs were perfectly executed and the ingredients of the skillet were fresh and plentiful. The server was attentive and filled cups without being asked, but not annoyingly over attentive. We enjoyed all of it and plan to visit here again. read more

Angie is a very attentive and personable bartender! Highly recommend just going in to see her! Service was wonderful! I have to say I had their grilled chicken Caesar salad and is the best, hands down! The dressing is light and tossed well throughout the salad. Love that it's cut up bite sized! I've been going to Jr's Outpost for many... many years and it's always fabulous. The atmosphere is very welcoming and feels like a small town bar, but has so much to offer. The owner is a great guy and really cares about his employees and customers, something very rare these days. The food is great and not the typical cheap bar food. My favorite is coming in Tuesday mornings for an amazing breakfast and suburb service when the Angie/Josh dynamic duo are working. Josh is a breakfast master and makes my table's special orders perfectly! I know it's not Burger King, but he makes it our way... and actually makes poached eggs in a pot and not a microwave! A lot of places get lazy and nuke the eggs.. yuck! If I want rubbery eggs I'll pick some up from the magic store! Angie is seriously the best! She makes sure you're taken care of, she's very personable... and I look forward to her goofy 80's trivia as she floats about the bar getting work done. These two make a rockstar team!! I lookforward to Tuesday breakfast meetings here! ;-) All the staff are great, but Angie and Josh make a great team during breakfast time which, is why we love coming in during this time. Food is very good here, problem is the language used by customers. About a month ago we had a great breakfast but had to listen to three people in the bar use every cus word posible. We called and talked to manager about language, he said he would talk to staff. So had another great breakfast today, this time one guy in bar cussing very loud. Our waitress told us she was not happy about customer. Just like last time, no one on staff tells guy to leave or clean it up. If they rely on customers to tell other customers to clean up their act, you could have more serious issues. Please have a meeting with your staff about trying to improve the experience for all customers. read more

Not bad... First visit today. I wanted to try something new for lunch so I stopped in with my wife. This place definitely has a redneck vibe, with lots of country music and up-north cabin style decor. Super casual. I don't mind the country thing. But I can live without hearing "drunk on a plane" twice in half an hour! Oh, well. The food was very good. I had the daily special, a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with chips, along with a cup of cheeseburger soup. My wife also had the cheeseburger soup, as well as a fish sandwich. Surprisingly good for a redneck bar. The service was also very good. These guys are very dedicated to their pull tabs! I've been here twice to play Bingo. Typical towny bar. Unfortunately the service was incredibly slow. We only ordered soup and it took over 20 minutes to come out. Our waitress never checked in on us, we had to wave her down every time. The saving grace here is that the food was decent and we had fun playing Bingo. I probably would never go here just for food and drinks though. read more

My wife and I have been coming here for 2 years now and I always look forward to the wings this place is pretty popular on wing night. unfortunately they've gone to a new supplier on their boneless which is my preferred wings. very disappointing hope they go back to the old ones they there awesome. It's 2017 and my wife and I really enjoy coming to this place for food and beer. They must have switched back to the original boneless wing supplier because they are awesome! read more

I think we saw them twice -- once to take the order and once to drop the food off like they were delivering a message from a different dimension. It took 30 minutes for a beer and 40+ minutes for wings that were somehow both tiny and overcooked. Charging extra for absolutely everything -- ranch, soda refills, probably oxygen if they could find a way -- just made it feel like a straight-up cash grab. The wings were dry, the quality was awful, and the entire experience screamed "We know this is bad, but you're trapped now." This place is expensive as hell for what it is, and the food quality? Terrible. Genuinely terrible. I left hungry, annoyed, and wondering how a place that sells wings can get the wings so wrong. Champlin has way better options -- save your money and skip this culinary disappointment.

They lured me in with the slick advertising so I decided to give them a try, the location closest to my house in Anoka. I'd say the food is a 2 or 3. But the service is a 1. My main complaint isn't the food. I found the pizza and other items to be okay - average. I'd say they're my least favorite pizza of all the big national chains. What happened? They used to be great! Not anymore though. My primary bitch is the complete logistical chaos, goofy management, and silly disorganization. I stopped by for an in person cash order and pickup. Simple, right? GOOD: 1. The pizza was okay. But the new Hot Pepperoni pizza was - really - very hot. I loved the heat part of it. Most Minnesota food that says "hot" is wimpy as hell. Pizza flavor - blah. Heat - hell yes. 2. My food was done quickly. 3. The prices are reasonable. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: 1. The front door is locked but there's no sign. They wave their hands and yell at you, telling you to come to the drive-thru window. How about a sign? Duh! 2. I drove to the window and it took what seemed like forever to find a takeout menu to pick my items. FYI, the paper takeout menu has a bunch of things crossed out that aren't available. No salads, no sandwiches, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. 3. Of course, the first 2 starters I picked weren't available either. How about crossing those out too? 4. They asked me what size new Hot Pepperoni pizza I wanted. I chose a small. Guess what? You can only get a large! Then why did they ask me what size I wanted? 5. Paying with cash, picking up at the window...but they need my name and my PHONE NUMBER for the order! I asked them why they needed my phone number when I'm just paying cash and coming back to the window in 10 minutes. They told me they can't do an order in the computer without a number. (But they can't text me when it's done either.) 6. While waiting in the parking lot I saw 2 other cars drive up, get out, try the locked door, and then drive away. They're missing out on business. In hind sight, I should have driven away too! 7. While waiting I noticed a fleet of delivery vehicles. The silver ones say "we deliver sandwiches too". But sandwiches aren't available on the menu. What the heck? 8. When I came back to the window 10 minutes later they couldn't find my order. Not by my name. Not by my phone number. Then the manager stepped in the told the dude where my order was. 9. They forgot my 2 liter Pepsi. This place is a joke. -Maxx

Upon entering, you will notice a small bar with an adequately stocked bar, featuring about 8 taps and a number of canned and bottled beers for your liking. There are plenty of high-top tables and booths to accommodate a decent crowd. MaGillycuddy's Bar is one of those places that instantly makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cozy and relaxed, thanks in no small part to the awesome tin ceiling-- it kind of gives this place a vintage charm you don't see often. The crowd is just what one would expect, just regular folks enjoying a libation and watching the Wild game. And they have pulltabs!! We settled in on a high-top table and ordered beers and our lunch. The Nashville Hot Shrimp is a must-try. just the right amount of heat, and packed with flavor. The Guinness cheeseburger is an open-faced burger topped with fries, Guinness cheese sauce, and, of course, bacon. That was a bit messy, and was enjoyable, but there are some other items I will want to try before going back to that entree. Between the solid food offerings, the friendly vibe, and the cool interior, MaGillycuddy's has all the makings of a local favorite.
