I'm not sure if the pictures do it justice but this was one of the best cheesesteaks I've had in Maryland. I eat a lot of them, and feel credentialed to make that statement. The carryout is noticeable from the road but also small and unassuming. The inside is clean, the staff is very friendly and the food comes out piping hot. I also got my children a cheese pizza which was also a hit. They also have a really large menu. Hilltop stays open late and is a good spot for a meal any hour of the day. read more

I have ordered from here in the past and always been satisfied. Usually I get the Italian cold cut which is good but this time, I did the gyro. It was really fabulous. A lot of places use pitas that are too thick but the bread was just right (as it is with the Italian cold cut sub). Welp! Definitely never again! It's been about 4 years since I've ordered from this place. Hence my last review. I saw they closed for a while and reopened. Unfortunately, a last minute want for food and the convience for their late hours...this was the only place opened late for delivery. We are extremely disappointed and this time it was just not good! I ate my slice hoping it would get better then something told me lift the cheese up (cheese was piled on top of the other ingredients which was weird) and no marinara sauce was on the pizza!!! I was already thrown off by the fact we were paying $34 for a medium pizza but ok it's late so we said we would just get it but NEVER AGAIN and I mean it this time. Save yourself!!! I contacted Penny she put a note under my number and Informed me that I could pick up the correct sub later. She was friendly and handle my issue in a positive manner. Today, I called to order the sub and John answered the phone. He quickly retrieved the notes from my account and had my food ready in 20 mins. I was surprised that it went so smoothly. I pass by this place all the time, and finally gave it a try. One thing I've always known about Hilltop is that they are open pretty late, which is really convenient if you ever need it. We got a regular cheese pizza (or as I like to call it, Kevin McAllister style) and the white pizza. I got a delivery from Hilltop and it was very underwhelming. If I could give lower than one star I definitely would for the following reasons: 1. The delivery driver had an attitude 2. The waffle fries were over done. 3. There was a hair in the waffle fries and it was not mine; different color. 4. They advertise broccoli cheese bites, but there is also bacon in them. Not good when you are vegetarian. I would have been better off ripping up my money and throwing it out. I hate wasting food, but it wasn't good. The prices were pretty high compared to well-known spots like Stokos or Hip Hop Chicken. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak with fries and a medium drink for $11.50. The cheesesteak was super dry to the point where I added mayo to try to fix it some, but even that couldn't save it. The fries were flavorless. No seasoning at all. Overall I'm underwhelmed. We ordered from Hilltop for the first time tonight and it was ok. We got a pepperoni pizza, the white pizza, cheesesteak, onion rings, cherry cheesecake, and baklava cheesecake. The order got here in a good amount of time but unfortunately I received a reg baklava instead of baklava cheesecake :(. The pizza was good...nothing amazing. My husband said the cheesesteak was ok...really skimpy on the cheese so it was a little dry. He did say the meat was seasoned well. Onion rings were yummy but didn't appear to be freshly made. Mediocre pizza. Bad service. I decided to give this place a try today. I placed my order just before leaving work and I was quoted 15-30 minutes at the time of my order. I arrived 35 minutes later and was told it would be "just a few more minutes." I waited and waited and asked again after 60 minutes. Again I was told it would be just a few more minutes. At 75 minutes, they finally called my name and handed over the two pizzas I ordered. The pizzas were just mediocre in taste. The crust is uninspired and flavorless like most of the big chains. The cheese tased cheap, but the sauce was okay with just a hint of spice to it. It's fairly comparable to $5 pizza at Little Caesars, but with less seasoning. I'd recommend passing on this place, and if you do order, don't believe the cook time you are quoted. read more

The only reason I am only giving 4 stars is because I used the delivery and it's a 2.00 delivery fee and the tip is added in and they give you the eta afterwards...the eta was 9:09 and the order time was 7:44 and I was like that has to be wrong considering it's a five min ride down the road....they arrived at 9:08 so the eta was on point but I never would have ordered if I knew the delivery time was going to be that long. I order from Hilltop occasionally and generally enjoy their pizza, although with a few thoughts. I consider their pizza an in-between pizza. I'm not totally sure if its fresh dough or what but it has a flavor and texture unlike any other I've had. It's a little thicker than a hand tossed, but much thinner than a deep dish. It's almost like the best frozen pizza you've had. They do a good job of assembling it and it has good flavor. One thing for sure it is by far the best re-heated pizza I've ever had, it tastes nearly identical to the day you ordered it (so that's something). I've also had their chicken and eggplant parmigiana subs and they are below average. The 12" subs are definitely not worth $13. They have a lengthy list of side orders which in true Greek fashion only brings down the overall operation. Don't bother with the pastas either, I don't want overcooked noodles tossed in red sauce with chopped up chicken parm on top! That's overpriced, poor quality, and lazy. I must admit I was a little nervous but the Groupon offer was just too good. After carefully considering online reviews we tried the cheese (provolone) steak sub combo, chef salad, ten Buffalo wings and a slice of cherry cheesecake. The steak is real rib-eye and they chop it up on the grill and it was pretty good and very filling. The fixin's were fresh and plentiful. It came with fries and a soda. The fries were just how I like them - crispy enough on the outside and soft on the inside and the portion was HUGE. Next time, I think I will try the onion rings as they looked hand breaded and that portion was also huge. The chef salad was also large and it made two salads. The dressing tasted home made and they give you a pretty good sized container of it. Lots of fresh iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, green peppers and 4 slices of hard boiled egg. The meat was ham and it had two kinds of cheese rolled up and then sliced into pieces - very good presentation and much better than hard cubes of cheese and ham. The wings....sigh....really really good! Fat, meaty and super crispy - not small and slimey. They also give you celery/carrot sticks and a good amount of either ranch or blue cheese dressing. The cheesecake is the best - I wished I knew where they get it from! A large slice with cherries on top, this cheesecake is crustless, unlike other cheesecake that has a hard thick graham cracker crust. This is ALL cheesecake! Quick delivery time. 4 stars not 5 because the girl was wearing a hat that said "it's fucking cold out" (or something equally brash) while she brought the pizza to my white collar work meeting with some clients. Also she forgot to leave me my copy of the receipt but when I called the next day they were able to email me a copy within 10 minutes.
