It was raining, and so I wasn't working in the yard. I assume that the dump truck bed was not clean when they loaded it, but they offered no explanation. I was told, "no, it should not have rocks in it". The kind man who took my call assured me that the manager/owner would call me back to discuss it. No call. No concern. I have been a repeat customer, but no more. Beware, if you buy any dump truck load of anything from The Stockyard in Torrington, CT. Inspect it before the driver leaves. Looking for replacements quickly to enable us to cut down seriously overgrown acreage, we went to the dealer from whom we bought the mower, Goff. They reluctantly located two tires and said it would be 2-3 days before they could repair and get them back to us. Crazy. We then went to Ruwest. They took a genuine interest in out little problem, and suggested we go to Toce Brothers down the street where, they said, they send all of their tire work. Their suggestion was excellent, we did so, and we got our new tires all set within an hour. Good folks, in our view. We'll recommend them highly for anyone looking for farm machinery and equipment and servicing in this area.

I took my chain saw there last week, after calling and speaking with a man named Gene and explaining I need a tune up. For Gene to not mention at any point there would be an estimate charge for repairs, during the call or during drop off is pretty terrible. Only to be called today the week after, when expectations were set with Gene that I needed it back prior to this past Saturday. To be told it would be over 300 to repair and btw you owe us 37 dollars to look at it. Not to mention all the work listed like needing a new carburetor, I just replaced..... among others like the fuel line and chain, I'm not saying they are shady, but I'm going to go ahead call out shady!!! Buyers beware.
