He had no eye protection in which I loaned him my pair while he was chipping glass right in front of his face. Chip of glass in eye not good! Boss said that was workers responsibility!!! I was out running errands when they finished up and had left my house. Ray called me and asked if I had a vacuum cleaner and I said yes down the hallway and he said laughed and said oh well " too late" they're already gone and that there was glass and a "big mess" that I had to clean up when I got home. When I got home, there was so much glass all over my livingroom and halfway through my living room on my carpeted floor, on my couch on my horse gear stored in corner, window sills, outside porch landing ...I mentioned to Ray prior to starting my job that i could remove my belongings n he said "no need".. I had to go out and buy a vacuum cleaner for glass clean up on my carpet in my livingroom . I had a stick vacuum cleaner only at that time n definitely not up to job. When i told Ray i needed to buy a new vacuum to do glass cleanup which took me several days- I have animals that live inside and grandchildren who come over all the time and walk barefoot in my home. He said, I lied and called me a liar which I did not appreciate after I just spent several thousand dollars to have my plate glass window replaced by them. I sent him my receipt showing I purchased the vacuum the day after he completed replacing the glass in my home. Reflections glass never addressed the issue or considered giving me a discount for three days of cleaning up glass after they completed their job. They arrived at my home in almost a brand new pick up truck and there are a glass company who doesn't even own a vacuum. I would bring another worker along to clean up your mess rather than leave it for the homeowner. Poor service, poor attitude and poor customer relations

I'm going to be as specific as possible, so you see what I mean. This was a complex project. The house is gigantic, near the ocean, and built like a hotel. It has had very little maintenance since it was completed 35 years ago. Basically, all the windows and doors needed replacement. Greg, the owner of the company, is a smart guy with many years of construction experience. He is a tough negotiator in dealing with suppliers, and was able to keep costs down even lower than we expected. He has detailed knowledge about the pros and cons of a wide range of window and door brands. He told us honestly upfront how certain of our plans would be better if reformulated. For example, we wanted to remodel as needed to incorporate "big doors" facing the ocean. Greg introduced us to Service aluminum doors with narrow frames that slide and stack in one direction, so the opening appears to be very generous. (Those doors, incidentally, slide noiselessly with one finger. Also, the screens are literally invisible; we thought someone was coming back to install the screens, but they were already in place.) We're happy to say that every recommendation Greg made was right on target. Andre, the foreman on the job, is another smart guy, a certified engineer with a flexible and creative approach to problems encountered on the job. He worked in Germany for several years, and brought that country's high construction standards with him. Andre worked well with his crew. They seemed genuinely to like each other. There was no losing of tempers! Every time I looked out to see this group working, I thought well-oiled machine. The crew made fast work of the job. It was estimated by others to take 3 months, but they finished it in 3 weeks. Each step was performed competently, and checked to ensure there would be no leaks or wobbles. The crew had to level large sections of window banks, and they came up with solutions as they worked, so the product is perfectly level and straight. It also looks fabulous! The crew found mold under the trim on a sliding door installation, so they had to remove a sizeable section of the wall surrounding the door frame. They treated the mold and got the area ready to re-apply stucco and sheetrock. The repair is so good that it will not be visible. They found mold under the WTW carpet facing the ocean sliding doors. They pulled up a large section of carpet so they could remove/treat the mold. We now know that a whole carpet replacement is in our future. We wouldn't have known had they not been so thorough. As the work progressed, Greg checked in regularly to make sure everything was going as planned. Andre checked with us daily to make sure we were happy with the work and not inconvenienced. The crew cleaned up daily and then thoroughly at the close of the job. They kept noise to a minimum, and warned us in advance when the work would necessarily be loud. The work crew was remarkably well-mannered and good-natured. There were no bad attitudes. There was no smoking or trashing of the yard. The workers showed up on time on a regular schedule. Every worker had a high level of concern about noise and other inconvenience. Just as the job was being completed, I had to have surgery. When I got home, the crew presented me with a deluxe post-surgery gift basket! This wasn't a bribe; they already knew they were going to get a great recommendation. It was just further testimony to their excellence.

Alex was here every single day. He brought Scott and Anthony with him on different days and I couldn't have been happier with the crew we were given. Every morning we talked about the plan for the day, and what they needed from me. Some days they needed nothing, some days I had decisions to make. The thing I liked the best was I never had to bring anything to Alex's attention. He was on top of everything. Taking a little longer to get a certain window done? Alex told me. A screen needed to be resized and put in, he let me know before I noticed it wasn't there. Or the fact that one of the sliding door screens came in slightly bent. Just enough that you had to be particular about how you closed it all the way.. Alex told ME about the problem. That he already had a new one on order and they would get it handled. I didn't have to find it first a week later and ask to get it replaced. If there was a problem, he already had a solution. And when the typical finishing for the windows wasn't going to work, he took the time to find a solution that came out absolutely stunning. The initial quote and set up process wasn't quite as smooth. I felt like the communication could have been better once we signed the contract. Lack of contact made us a few weeks later in the schedule of getting them installed and that was a bummer. But the actual install couldn't have gone better, and it was meant to be I guess. Window world won't be your cheapest option. But they back their work, they stay until it's finished and the lifetime guarantee on their windows is great peace of mind. My Alpine windows have a slight greenish tint, but their Milgard glass looks more like silver, like a mirror from the outside. I asked them if I'd be able to tell if the window was replaced and they said no, but it's very obvious. I'm totally disappointed because I told them I didn't care about cost I just wanted the window to match my other windows which are only a few years old.
