If you want to attend life insurance training sessions or sorghum wheat conventions, this is the hot place to be with architecture fresh out of a VHS movie. Food is solid and abundant. Surrounding lake and grassy area is pleasant for a walk or jog away at dusk/dawn, though everywhere else suffers from the American lack of walkability. Waffle House is 10 min by foot for example, except it's across a freeway and offramp. Shuttle service is convenient and free, maybe 5-10 min north of DFW. Love the Hilton brand, hate the choice in television provider. The remote has no number buttons, so you cannot jump to a specific channel. The hotel has a few restaurants close but, and close to the airport. Since it's an older hotel, I thought the interior would appear old. I was wrong. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff. The king room is comfy, and cool looking tile in the bathroom. The shower is narrow, but not a large concern. Comfy bed. The window is also horizontal and narrow, but also not a large concern. I would stay here again, however, I hope someday Hilton changes where they get their television channels from. read more

Hilton DFW Lakes is a very convenient hotel to stay in the DFW area! I stayed in this hotel during a work trip and had a great experience. The hotel is conveniently located near the Dallas Fort Worth international airport and about 20 minutes from Love Field airport. The staff at the check-in area was really nice and allowed me to check-in early. The rooms were in good condition but the furniture was a little outdated. Overall the bed was really comfortable and I had a great night sleep. I also liked that they had a cafe and a restaurant within the hotel which you can access for a quick bite or a drink. I would definitely stay here again during a future visit to Dallas / Fort Worth. read more

I gave 4 stars because the concierge that took my suitcase off of the shuttle, broke the wheel on my brand new suitcase We waited at the airport for 2.5 hours for the shuttle so I was already a little annoyed. The hotel has a lot to offer including a beautiful pool area and a large gym! Lots if meeting/conference rooms and three or four different places to eat. The outdoor seating area in the back has tvs and a firepit. Its in walking distance to the Grapevine Mills outlet mall (love that place too) Whataburger, Applebees, Chickfila and a few others. The beds are comfortable and my room was clean when I arrived. Oh, they also have a tennis court and pickleball. My room had a view of the walk/run trail as well. Very friendly staff. The property is sprawling with outdoors seating and a myriad of dining options, including the delicious, Bonnie & Clyde's Hideout. The hotel features ample free parking, as well as a complimentary shuttle to DFW terminals. Grapevine Mills is a leisurely 7 minute walk. The lobby is quite grand, featuring rich wood tones, characteristic of the design elements of Texas style. Guest rooms are modern and spacious. Motion sensor lights are good for both safety and energy conservation. Beds are soft and comfortable, as per Hilton brand. Light grays and white tones give the rooms a clean, modern sophistication. Bonnie & Clyde's features a varied menu, including pizza, burgers, steaks, pasta, and seafood, among a host of other TexMex favorites. This is the perfect venue for a company retreat--spacious and situated on a park-like property, shadowed in mature trees and brick laid pathways. Let me start by saying the hotel itself is decent--clean, good location, and no issues with the facilities. But the management experience? Disappointing. I stayed from Oct. 17-19 with my 12-year-old son and had a frustrating run-in with the manager, Rhianna Shelby. The first day, I was able to charge breakfast to my room. The next morning? Suddenly not allowed because I booked through a third-party site. Okay--fine, I understand policy, but the way it was handled was the issue. I asked if, considering the mix-up and that my son really enjoyed breakfast the day before, we could be accommodated just for that day. Got a cold, robotic "no" followed by more policy quoting. I called again a bit later to ask for late check-out and got hit with a sharp "noon" before I could even finish my sentence. No warmth. No flexibility. Just felt like we were inconveniencing them by even asking for basic help. It was enough to make us check out early. Bottom line: If you're expecting actual hospitality, this is not the place. The manager seems more interested in enforcing rules than making guests feel welcome. Until there is a change in management or a serious reassessment of how guest relations are handled, I would not recommend this property to anyone expecting the service standards typically associated with Hilton. read more

Just spent three nights here as part of a wedding party and would highly recommend. The indoor pool is nice and the gym is huge for a hotel. My boyfriend and his friends played at the pickleball courts that you rent hourly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I've stayed here plenty of times and each time has been better than the last. This go around I did bring it to the front desk attention that my door did not lock from the inside and maintenance would be called to look at it while at the pool. Upon returning the door was still unable to be locked from the inside. Needless to stay it was locked from the outside but there was a sense of safety that was concern due to not being able to lock the inside latch. It was never fixed. The floor had been remodeled and this was overlooked upon inspection, hopefully this is taken care of prior to the next visit. Needless to say the outdoor pool was worth it all and there is a phone to order from the bar next to the small cabana that was not operational. The indoor pool and hot tub were working as well, so going outside during the prime time hours seemed to work better as the outdoor pool was mainly adults vice kids. read more

I'm really surprised this hotel bears the Hilton name. $250/night and no Housekeeping at all, despite all covid mandates being lifted weeks ago. I requested Housekeeping on Day 3 and they told me they couldn't change the sheets,only make the bed. Fine. I needed towels, toilet paper, and trash taken away, and a fresh made bed would've been nice. Too bad they never came. It's not like I asked for them to clean the accumulated dust around all the door knobs or off the bathroom shelving! (Also, it's disturbing to see all the marks behind the bathroom wallpaper, I can only assume it was insect feces. Luckily the beds were clear.) The A/C in my mate's room didn't seem to work, it never got close to temp - but it was still always cooler in there than the steamy common areas! Omg what is going on here!? Bonnie & Clyde's had good food, though we had a bit of trouble with lunch one day. Had a 75 minute break but apparently they didn't have servers on the patio (despite letting people fill every table, and the hotel knew they had at least 2 events taking place) and it took over an hour to get our food (at least 45 minutes before our order was taken). The servers were nice though, with Hailey rising to the top!! If you're looking for a Starbucks latte, go find a real Starbucks. I had at least 4 before I quit trying. The coffee served with breakfast was the best cup I'd had in all 5 days! Wish I'd known that before my last day. I was with a conference so I didn't have time for breakfast each morning, only on my final day. It was as expected, some nice fresh fruit and an omelet bar were the winners in my book. Stayed here for two nights while in town. I originally thought about writing two star review so I sat on it for two weeks before I leave anything in writing. I was extremely tired, lack of sleep didn't help me properly accept the situation. They have an executive lounge, lounge is located on one wing, if your room is on another wing, only way to get there is by coming down to the lobby first then go up again. Executive room is closed on weekend, which I wasn't advised until I went up there on Saturday morning. I arrived at the hotel at 1:45am, front desk staff wasn't that helpful advising what I considered essential information. If your room is near the elevator, you will hear that ding noise all night. I didn't really care for my room location. Room was spacious. Restaurant on site, they seemed understaffed. They have a fairly large indoor pool, popular with family with kids on weekend. It's not their fault, I had four hours of sleep for two nights, I wanted to sleep but they chatted loud in the hallway. Nice size gym was available too. If I were to come under different circumstances, I would have enjoyed more. I was extremely tired, didn't have that much of patients to accept uncontrollable situations in a way I normally address. read more

I called and asked that my two rooms be placed side by side. The receptionist said she was able to place us as requested. When we got there it was taken care of. We were treated by two of the sweetest receptionist. They told us what was available locally to do. I usually stay at Embassy Suites. This is going to be my new home away from home when I am in this area. The hotel staff was amazing all around. The restaurant was clean. The breakfast was hot, fresh, and tasted great. Every time you pull up someone comes out to greet you and see if you need help. Our rooms were cleaned everyday. I have spent more than 20 nights in hotels in 2019. This was the cleanest and had a class act of a staff. They should give a class on hospitality. I have stayed in other DFW hotels, DC, Virginia, Vegas and, NY this year just to put things into prospective. This place is one of a kind. read more

Great location, quality service that you expect from Hilton and a comfortable room. We used points and stayed 7 nights this trip. As a lifetime Honors Diamond member, this was not acknowledged at check in and was we were disappointed that our room was a standard king sleeping room and no upgrade was offered like we enjoy during previous visits. The standard king room offers a recliner and a desk chair for seating, so it is not designed for 2 adults to be seated comfortably when not in bed. We used and enjoyed their rapid room service, Bonnie & Clydes bar and the Vineyard restaurant. All offered great attentive service and fresh quality food. The breakfast buffet offers an omelet bar, fresh ripe berries and sweet melons plus your typical soft scramble eggs, potatoes, biscuits, sausage and bacon. Free parking, pool, executive lounge (closed all week) and exercise area (also closed for upgrades) All in all, a pleasant quiet stay and next trip to DFW will stay here again. read more

Reviews on Expedia (which I booked through) do not reflect the current, poor conditions. Room 602 was a nightmare. The light switch at the door was very bright, continuously blinked off and on, making it impossible to sleep. No way to cover up the light, reflecting off a mirror next to it. Electrical malfunction? There was a loud thud every few minutes from outside the room I don't know if it came from the facility next to this room, or from the roof area. Didn't sleep a wink. Also, the rugs in the lobby are all visibly filthy, should be removed even if they cannot be replaced. Very high prices for a very bad experience. read more

This review is written from the point of reference of a diamond member who travels frequently for conventions in events. What a horrible experience. I was there for a conference with my company during the big ice storm in January/February of 2023. I completely understand that dealing with this kind of weather makes it very hard on staffing but the employees were simply rude. I also get that they are stressed out, and maybe others may not have been kind to them, but I addressed everybody with the ultimate of kindness and understanding, and receive rudeness in return. When you are in a service industry job, you have to deal with adversity and tough situation's while treating your customers well. They did not. This stretches from the front house to Bonnie and Clydes staff. In addition, it was freezing outside, and the rooms were hot. I turn the air conditioning down to 65 and never got it cool enough. Don't know how that's possible. And when you take showers, they were lukewarm at best. So, hot rooms and cold showers during an ice storm. Not good. Finally, and this is not all their fault, but, I hated the cafeteria style room where seven different companies are having their meetings. With a few exceptions, the food was not good. The room was jam packed with people you don't know and you could barely get around. I'm sure my company knew this would be the situation and hope they don't make that same choice again. read more

I think the bigger negative is that parts of the hotel are updated, but most of it needs to be renovated. We stayed on the top floor, the room had troubles cooling, vent was built oddly into the wall and didn't really push the air enough. Newer tv's, bathroom seemed newer, but shower layout was weird, bathroom door doesn't leave a lot of room. Worst place ever. Have been here on business for the last 5 days and can not sleep nothing but a bunch of loud kids all night long I'm exhausted and need sleep to study tomorrow and cannot. Take my advice avoid this place by all means!!! If you actually have business to handle find a place that is quite after 10pm, I wish it was quite after 11 pm but it is not. I was disappointed with this hotel for the price we paid. The room, bathroom, and shower had numerous random black hairs in it. The toilet paper was positioned way behind the toilet and was difficult to reach. The room stayed fairly warm even with the AC set to 60.... I was extremely hot and uncomfortable due to the temperature all night. Lastly, our bed had no bed sheets. They simply use a fitted sheet over the mattress and they presumably wash and re-use the duvet cover. There was no light weight sheet between the fitted sheet and duvet. I expected more for a $200 room and I've recently had far better experiences in cheaper rooms. read more

We stayed here at a great price we acquired from Hotwire Hot Deals for a total price after taxes of $96. The hotel is located very close to Bass Pro Shop, Great Wolf Lodge, and The Gaylord Texan. Also, conveniently located by some of my favorite restaurants, the Old West Cafe and Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. Upon arriving, I didn't really like how the parking was so far from the entrance. No convenient side doors were available so you had to enter from the main doors at the front of the hotel. Our check-in was quick and we stayed on the 4th floor. The elevators were very fast moving which reduced the time for waiting to go up or down. The hallways had nice carpet, but were a little warm, which is one of my pet peeves in the hotel industry. The hotel room was accessible by a touch less key card and the room was spacious with a beautiful shower. The bed, you could tell had springs in the mattress, but wasn't too bad. Each side of the king size bed had 2 pillows, one firm and one soft. Nice flat screen television and the room contained a refrigerator which was a big plus. All in all, the hotel is a little dated, but if you gamble on Hotwire and get a great price like I did, definitely worth the stay! read more

(2 per/room) to compensate for the difference. Not even close, that was definitely a foul and not customer service or care. I came for a work function, and I found the amenities to be nice. There are a lot of family attractions in the immediate area, so I guess kids would enjoy the property if you choose to stay here while visiting. They have a nice BIG indoor pool, and a smaller summer outdoor pool. I was impressed with the workout facility, you will have no problem finding what you need to keep fit - I put in extra time because I found the facility so accommodating. The staff was all very nice and they have a fun bar/restaurant onsite. I was happy with my room, clean and comfortable. As it relates to being close to the Grapevine Mills, Bass Pro, and the Gaylord complex, this hotel is an 'A. ' It has both a nice, large indoor pool and smaller summer outdoor pool. The tennis center is actually quite decent here as well. I was not blown away, but you will have no regrets, solid 'B/B+' grade from my point of view. read more

Booked this property through Hotwire.com because of the positive reviews on yelp. However, Due to the unforeseen ice storm we were not able to physically get to Dallas. Trust me... we tried and ended up making numerous changes to our itinerary. Flew many different airlines to get to a simple destination to see family but had to drive to avoid road closures. We reached out to Hotwire.com and they agreed to refund our booking but needed to authorize it with management at the Hilton but they denied it. Basically saying, "tough nuts weather happens and they kept us from getting a refund. Hilton Hotels are seeming more like low-budget airlines that don't understand the needs and mechanics of how modern day travel works. This is an executive conference center and as a meeting planner with many years experience in the travel and hospitality industry this just shows how greedily and shortsightedly this particular property and its "family" brand operates. read more
