We happen to be staying while they are doing renovations and boy do these rooms need it. This bed is the worst one I have had at a Hilton Hotel. THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED. It felt like a board was running down the middle. Now Amy at the front desk was very pleasant and checked to see if we needed anything and we politely answered no but it was early and we hadn't slept yet. I've stayed here a couple times since my initial review and the most recent time was during COVID. I love how they have taken advantage of the slow traffic and have completed some nice renovations, both in the main area and in the rooms. They enforce masks to be worn throughout the building in the rooms have a little sticker on them to show no one has entered since its been sanitized. I loved it. They also have a sanitation sticker on the remote control (cause ya'll know how nasty those can be) so I appreciated that too. COVID has definitely been an unfortunate virus that has been spreading for some time now, but I appreciate how its enforce (all of) us to sanitize and be mindful. Had to wait 20 minutes to check out. Wtf. Breakfast "buffet" worker saw me waiting and said "its all about you". Didnt seem that way. Breakfast is reconstituted eggs and diy toast and yogurt. $18 plus obligatory tip. Do yourself a favor and go to buc ees across the street. 2$ water in the room. The check in was terrible. "Brian" allowed me to check into a room that was not cleaned yet...when I farted all my stuff back down to the desk and asked if he had a room that was ready ...he just said "No you'll have to wait at least 30 minutes". This was at almost 5:00 pm on a Sunday with no guests hardly at all. When I called him out on it, he had a room within seconds....and a great big millennial attitude. Cannot stand a liar that's just too lazy to push a button. After check in, every day of my stay, I tried to conduct business in the hotel room. The cleaning staff in this hotel is the loudest...most jabbering staff I have ever known. My customers kept asking me who I was talking to because they could hear the staff in the background. I'm still here, but plan to check out early. This is the most ridiculously terrible customer service I have ever experienced...so much for the "hospitality" industry read more

CHECK YOUR HOTEL BILL CAREFULLY!!!! We had a very bizarre experience. Upon checkout we noticed that we were falsely charged a "pet fee" of $75. When explaining to the person at the front desk, she said they'd check the room to be sure there were no pets. Super weird of them. Several hours later they texted us that we indeed had no pets and would receive a credit. Next, a $2 fee appeared on our credit card. They falsely claimed we drank one of those $2 bottles of hotel water. We asked them to recheck because not only didn't we drink the expensive water, but we went to the nearby quick shop and purchased a 12 pack of water for $5. Sadly, a person named Jeanette doubled down on the false claim. Other than false charges, the room is nice and we liked the restaurant. So the problem is one of hotel staff integrity. Very sad about this and we won't be coming back or recommending this to friends. read more

It was a great experience. We had a wedding party that blocked off quite a number of rooms. We had a welcome party in the conference room where the hotel allowed us to drink and enjoy each other's company (pics below). It was nice that they have a place to set up something like this. We also asked the front desk to hand out a "goodie bag" to all the people in the blocked rooms. There were obviously a lot of people and they didn't skip a beat. Also, after the wedding there were no plans and we ended up congregating in the lobby near the bar (which was already closed) but the front desk didn't mind at all as long as we kept somewhat quite. That was very nice and we knew they did not have to let us do that. We were all glad to be together--and this stay made it possible and not a headache which I'm sure it could have been. read more

This is a newer property and is quite nice. There is a nice entry and dining area and a larger bar than what I'm used to seeing for a HGI property. There is a nice sized outdoor swimming pool with a pergola. The staff were friendly which is nice but let's talk about the room....... it was a nice size and had all the amenities you'd expect. A good size TV, a desk, a bed and a good size bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. One thing I did really enjoy was at breakfast our server brought is a seed packet for my daughter. Hilton had a cool new initiative. Kinda cheesy but cool. read more

The room was standard, but the bed and pillows were not good. 3 pillows made the thickness of 1 standard pillow. The bed made loud noices every time I moved, so it was hard to sleep. The breakfast was very well done. The breakfast staff was great. They were very attentive and extremely nice. The front desk clerks were not helpful. I had an issue with the room being in my wife's name m on the reservation, and I got no help. It was not a great experience. read more

This property is well run it's clean and constantly managed maintenance is available and helpful the cleaning staff does a good job front desk is amazing especially Amy if you have a major event like a wedding this is a great place to hold it. Understand that when I rate hotels, I rate by the brand and the price point. Five stars for HGI is not intended to compare it to a Waldorf - what it does mean is that this location offers a superb experience within its brand and its price point. This HGI is relatively new. The lobby is very inviting (I'm sitting there now as I craft this review), offering several conversation-friendly seating areas and, of course, complimentary coffee and tea. Their hot, cook-to-order breakfast features all of the standard fare including omelets, waffles, hot & cold buffet. Priced at $9.95 per Guest, it is a great value. We have three of us staying in a two-queen room. The room is well lit, clean and includes a Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. We are also amply stocked with towels and sundries. The AC blows cold and the beds are comfy. We are in Denton for our son's transfer orientation to UNT, and we have declared this our home-away-from-home when we come up for UNT events. read more

I recently stayed at this hotel for over 2 weeks as a family member was in the hospital at Medical City, Denton (which, by the way is less than 5 minutes away from this hotel.) Having stayed for such a long period of time, I really got to know the hotel and the staff, and they are top-notch. The location is perfect for getting to the hospital, and it's also very close to major shopping (Target, Walmart, Home Depot, etc.), which are all within a few minutes' drive. Many major restaurant chains are also nearby. Most importantly, the staff is what makes this hotel outstanding. I had to change my checkout date multiple times because of the nature of my stay, and every time they were very friendly and helped me change the date, and they worked hard to insure I could even stay in the same room to avoid the hassle of moving to a different room. There's also a surprisingly good small restaurant in the lobby that serves breakfast in the morning (for a charge) and dinner from 6 to 10 pm. The servers there were excellent as well. The only knock I would make on this hotel is that they don't provide any type of free breakfast as most other hotels do in this price range. But the positives outweigh the negatives, so I would recommend this hotel, especially if you need quick access to the hospital. read more

I stayed here 4/22-25 for a ministry conference. I have traveled a bit and actually lived in hotels when I first moved Orlando before settling down. I know a bit about what to expect from hotels and this is one of the best I have encountered in the under $100.00 a night price range. It was very clean and modern but not cold. The staff was very friendly. When I checked in at 4:15 p.m. they had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies on the counter. They were still warm and so delicious. Sunday afternoon they served Cherry Cordial cookies and wait for it...big, fluffy, Snickerdoodle cookies that were so yummy that I seriously am going to call Hilton and ask where they get them or if they have a recipe they can share! The best Snickerdoodles I have EVER eaten!!! The room was huge! It had a king size bed, desk, comfy chair with foot stool, mirrored closet and not a huge bathroom but very clean with a shower with glass door, no bathtub. They have Neutrogena toiletries available. I bring my own so I packed them up for my little sister to enjoy. There was also a huge flat screen TV and the best part, a refrigerator and microwave! The bed was very comfy and has dials on it so you can find your comfort level. I think any hotel that has the guts to use all white sheets and comforters has to have some level of high maintenance on their bedding so that works for me. The business center is free to guests with a keycard. Free internet and printing. My only gripe is that it was a bit warm in there. It's not very big but it wasn't very busy anyway. I would check e-mails when ever I returned to the hotel and it was always empty. I can't comment on the food as I fasted from 5pm Friday night through Noon on Sunday so I didn't eat the breakfast that they serve in the lobby. My room didn't come with free breakfast so I would have had to pay $8.50 if I wanted to eat. There are so many places to eat around the hotel, I wouldn't bother with shelling out the money at the hotel. I had a view of the pool from my room and it looked nice. It has a little water fall and people seemed to be enjoying it. Unfortunately I forgot to bring my bathing suit but it all worked out as the day I would have been able to use the pool, it was pretty cold and rainy out. The conference I went to was offering a special deal for $99.00 a night for this hotel but I decided to check around and found a better price through Hotels.com for 65.40 a night!!! I stayed in room 106 which was next to the gym and a side entrance door to parking. It was nice not to have to find parking in front and walk through the lobby all the time. I was very impressed and have decided that Hilton Garden Inn is going to be my hotel of choice when I travel. Time to start racking up the points so I can get some free stays! :o) read more

I am giving the hotel 2 stars because the first two nights were okay and breakfast was good, however on the last evening when we need to catch a flight the next morning, there were 4 or 5 rooms around us that were having a party in their rooms slamming doors, yelling, screaming, hooting and hollaring in the middle of a pandemic!! We called down to the front desk and the ladies kept saying they have had many complaints and have gone upstairs to quiet them down. She offered to comp one night of our room which was nice, however they did NOTHING about the noise and we were awake until 3:30am!!!!!! Long story short when we went to check out today, we wanted to confirm our night would not be charged and we were informed there were 50 noise complaints last night!!!!! You have got to be kidding me! At what point do you tell the guest if they get anymore complaints that they will have to check out and leave while still being charged??? You rather distrupt multiple upon multiple guests who will probably never stay her again for a couple of rooms? Completely unacceptable and horrible management of a hotel!!!!! read more

Can't imagine this is a Hilton. Greeted by a bathroom that smells like Post Katrina flood zone. Mold and Mildew was overwhelming. Then had two cockroaches "bum rush" me from the bathtub looking like they had not eaten in a while. They moved me to a new room and promised some concession from the management. NOTHING heard from them after two more nights. Breakfast and pantry area extremely over-priced. Please feed the cockroaches so they do not assault the customers. read more

I don't understand some of the negative reviews on about this place. My stay was excellent. I was in town visiting family but I prefer my own privacy, thus I booked the Hilton Garden Inn, I'm a very light sleeper and I request a quiet room on the top floor away from the elevator, the friendly front desk person honored my request. My room faced towards the highway, but I never heard traffic noise. The room was quiet, the bed was nice, I slept like a rock! Plenty of very HOT water from the shower with great water pressure. I found the pillows very comfortable. I did not use the pool or hot tub as it raining during my visit. It's just a few blocks away from plenty of restaurants, shopping grocery store etc. It's nice having a fridge and microwave. I would come back and stay here again. read more

I stopped short of a star because the staff was friendly and helpful and the accommodations are reasonably nice. I say reasonably because the mattresses are harder than a rock. So would I recommend this hotel? Yes with the added comment of if you like an overly hard bed. Also, the platforms the beds are on make noises every time someone turns over on them and you can hear the people above and beside you also tumbling on their mattress. I would stay there again if those two things were addressed. read more

I came fin town for a wedding. I didn't require much. I wanted breakfast included, generally nice accommodations, convenience, a gym, a great room and friendly staff. When I arrived, I was exhausted. I was grateful to be able to order a meatless burger in the lobby, which came with fries and knock out. It came with two meatless patties and was a lot of food for $9-11. It was convent and hit the spot. The staff was incredibly nice. The gym is 24 hours. It was clean and had what I needed so that meant A LOT. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. I don't eat meat so I was grateful for what they had. The room was nice and clean. The hotel was conveniently located to the wedding. It was about 40-45 minutes from Dallas but everything in Texas is spread out. If you need to be in Denton, this will work for you. Also, there are a few restaurants and a Buc-cees nearby. Also, we were about 45 minutes from the Oklahoma stateline so you can visit the casino while you're there. read more

I love staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Denton, TX! This is my 5th year staying here! I enjoy everything from the rooms, the breakfast buffet, and the bar! Being a Gold member there are so many perks which are awesome! I like the rooms they are spacious and clean! The hotel even when full is quiet! This is a great place for a good nights rest! The food here is awesome! The breakfast buffet is great from items on the line to the items you get made to order! I think the staff here is so friendly and nice! The bar is great and it has really good beers on tap, a great drink selection and both top and bottom shelf drinks. You could stay here and never really leave! The hotel is close to most Denton attractions and is right off the highway! Also the hot tub/whirlpool is great and open year round! If you are going to Denton stay here you won't be disappointed!!! read more

Customer service is beyond terrible!!! Not helpful in the least bit. The lady who checked me in was covering her mouth when she coughed then asked for my ID. Not up to Covid standards, nobody was wearing mask. I didn't even want to continue so I asked nicely just cancel my reservation. But since I didn't read the fine print on Expedia I was charged even though I did not stay in the room. Tried to get refunded by the GM Jay Darcy but in this terrible economic times we are all in, he couldn't find it in his little black heart to refund me. I was looking forward to a night in a nice hotel with my husband, but we arrived late, and had to pay almost $200, and that would have been okay, but when we got to our room, it looked like Cookie Monster had been there before we arrived. See pics, please. Fortunately, there were two queen beds in our room, or we would have moved out. We came in at 9:30 and found food(we think...) on one bed, on the desk, on the floor, and in the sink... I called downstairs, & they did offer to move us to another room or to come clean. I told them we were going to stay since it was late & there were two beds, but I wanted someone to come look at the room. They didn't want to... Weird. Anyway, only stay at this hotel if you don't mind sharing your room with a mystery snacker. Also I've included pix of hair on the sheet, and a few unidentifiable spots on the bed...yuck. read more

Very clean and nice hotel. The problem I had was with the front desk agent, who continued to take a phone reservation while we waited in line in front of him, 4 deep. I thought HILTON had a central reservations department that took care of all reservations to avoid this exact dilemma. I guess nobody told the gentleman working this evening. 2) as I am a diamond Hilton member. I asked for a water, the front desk guy told me they were in the room, when I got there of course there wasn't anything in there. Being sick I was told if I wanted them I needed to get dressed, go back downstairs and retrieve them there. Really dude??? I asked u for them when I was there, why don't u bring them up. But he couldn't as he said he was the only employee on property at 10pm. Oh well, I normally enjoy my Hilton stays but this was subpar for several reasons. Get it together. read more

Stayed here a few weeks ago on a business trip. I'm a BIG fan of Garden Inn sleep number beds and their ergonomic office chairs. As long as I can sleep and work, and have a mini fridge and microwave, I'm set for the long term. Had I been staying longer, I'd have fussed because they put me in a room on the ground floor on the hallway that led to the pool. Talk about noise! Adults seem to forget that people might be trying to sleep behind each of those doors...and kids are clueless when they're heading for the pool. As a Hilton Diamond member I'd have probably been able to get the room changed, but I didn't even think about it until the rowdy passersby awakened me. I'll remember next time, though. read more

Well, I made a reservation here for a couple of nights when I was in the area and I can assure you they don't read profiles. I specifically asked for a room away from the elevators and this was completely ignored by the desk. I asked for a couple of bottles of water and they wanted to charge me for them. This really bothered me since I have never been charged for bottled water at a Hilton property. I told the girl that if she really needed to charge them to my room to go ahead and do it. She then told me that it was ok and I could have the waters. Also, be aware that the helicopters can be annoying since the hospital is next door. Avoid the top floor for that reason. I'm a Hilton Diamond member so I stay in quite a few hotels. This one appears to be foreign owned and the attitudes of the front desk girl reflect that. read more

I stayed here for business 12/1 to 12/5. The staff were very pleasant to work with when I checked in - and I was always greeted with a 'Good Morning' or a 'Hello' when I walked by the desk. The rooms were really nice. We didn't have to drive very far - it's not too far from the DFW airport, and there's all kinds of places to eat and shop for necessities nearby. The breakfast was about $9 a day - I had a veggie omelet and then had the buffett with it each morning. The servers were very responsive and made sure we all had what we needed. I never stayed there for lunch or dinner. The 'complimentary' WiFi was ok, I didn't pay for premium, but I'm sure it's much better. (Though to be fair, I didn't have too much trouble using the free wifi - on the corporate LAN or while using facetime). My co-worker and I ended up going to a gym close by "Diesel Fitness' because he wanted free weights, so we never tried out the fitness center at the hotel. The lobby is one of the nicest I've been in - was really struck by how nice it was compared to other hotels. Would recommend! read more

I will never stay here again. My room was very musty smelling. So strong that when you opened the door it would knock you back. Within 10 minutes of checking into my room I went back down to the lobby to ask for another room. The lady at the desk said they were all booked up. So she sent the cleaning lady to my room to spray deodorizer. That lasted a few minutes. I was at the hotel for a week. Not once did the management contact me to change rooms or send someone up to try to solve the musty odor. I suspect it was coming from the air conditioner and a little bleach would have probably solved the problem. By the end of the week the smell was worse. When I checked out the lady at the desk did not ask me how my stay was. I was not satisfied. Should I have complained more? Maybe. But I told them about the problem once and that should have been enough. Below is there satisfaction promise. They sure didn't meet it.
