I'm a fan I'm a fan that's where I stand I'm a fan! I love these Hotels that offer their visitors a nice little evening drink and food reception. This is one of them. Each adult person in the room is allowed two drinks at the bar from 5:30 pm till 7 pm. Off to the right side of the bar there is a small chips, vegetable set up with ranch dressing. It's not supposed to be a meal so stop expecting more! Who starts off their review highlighting about alcohol huh? Well after a hard days work it's one of the most eye enlightening things you can't help but be tempted into. The lobby as well is very nice in which there seems to be different " quadrants" where you can hold your discussions where you won't be in the middle of a large group. Down one side there is a hallway where their conference rooms are and even upstairs are other rooms too I did not look but noticed them just by looking up at the stairs. The room was comfortable, clean and had all of the decent amenities that you would expect for paying around $130 ish. There is a restaurant attached to the Hotel (Hoolihans). I can't tell you about anything in there except that SOME evenings they have a live singer or band. Everybody in the staff was nice and cordial especially the bartender lady, she knows how to rake in the tips as well as make the drinks. My only gripe? GETTING TO THE HOTEL! Eww, yucky, poo ppp construction makes you wait many cycles behind the light up ahead if you're trying to get off of the feeder and past the light. It is even a challenge to get to the Hotel because the usual entrance is being built, but it will be nice once it's done. As of now, it's like a nagging toothache trying to get out of the parking lot even with puppy dog eyes wanting to get through. Oh, before I forget, off to the side when you enter close to the mouth of the Hotel, go to the right and you will find a few spaces of covered parking. Usually hotels, no matter what chain, are hit or miss. Embassy Suites on the other hand has never let me down. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this location in Denton. Prior to coming, I hadn't been to Denton in about 20 years other than passing through. A lot has changed and this once quiet, small town is booming. I didn't know this town had hotels that are as nice as this. It's located right off 35. It's fairly new and has plenty of complimentary parking but no valet. We arrived in the evening and checking in was a breeze. Customer service was excellent. They seemed to be hosting a few different large groups and had welcome bags for each group. The grounds itself is beautiful and well maintained. There's an indoor and outdoor pool. The lobby is beautiful with lots of seating areas. There's a nice fireplace as well as a large water feature. There are banquet rooms as well for events. The lobby also is where breakfast takes place with a large buffet area with plenty of seating for any group size. There is also a Starbucks, a bar and the restaurant Houlihans. What I love about Embassy Suites is their breakfast. It's not your typical continental or hot breakfast. You can get cooked to order omelets and waffles here. They also have a buffet line with different breakfast items every morning. I like that they change up the menu every morning. They also have options like bread, fruit, cereal juices and coffee. It's definitely a quality breakfast. Since it's fairly new, this hotel is very modern and high tech. You can have a regular key or use a digital key for your room. The rooms are suites and have living rooms, a kitchenette, a bedroom and very spacious bathroom. We had to get used to the touch light switches. I can see the older generation having issues with that. The bed was comfortable and we slept like babies. My only complaint with the rooms was what I felt was the lack of controlling the area. I like it cold in my room but never felt it got the temp I programmed. It almost feels like the temps were all the same in all rooms. The water pressure in the shower was also pretty light. We really enjoyed the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom which made bath time a party! Overall, I would without a doubt stay here again if in the Denton area. Embassy Suites has become one of my favorite chains and they for sure lived up to their standards at this location! read more

Overall, the hotel is very nice. The public spaces looked great! I felt comfortable in my room and thought that the bathroom area was especially pleasant and well-organized. Great shower! The big negative here is that the fan in the bathroom ran continuously and made a noise like a waterfall or raging river. The fan would have kept me up at night were it not for the relatively thick wall and door between my bedroom and the adjacent bathroom area. I was careful to keep that door closed when I wanted to sleep. The fancy light switches in the suite were confusing at first and didn't seem to offer any benefit over simple toggles. They were OK to use after I got used to them, but my stay was short enough that the "learning curve" part of the experience represented a significant fraction of the time that I spent in the room. Thumbs down on this "upgrade." The complimentary breakfast buffet had lots of options and was easy to navigate when I showed up early in the morning . My experience with other Embassy Suite hotels is that the breakfast area can get encumbered at prime time when hoards of people show up. read more

Stayed here back in march for work and had a great experience! Pros: The room service is from the restaurant downstairs and is so cheap!! I had a great shrimp pasta dish and sangria for an unbelievable (by California standards) $35. Clean spacious rooms Front desk staff are great- they are around late and were also kind enough to help me out when I forgot my key in my room and also give me complimentary toothpaste when I realized I'd forgotten to pack it Beautiful huge lobby with lots of space for gathering/ socializing Cons: Heck of a hike from the airport! It was about 45 minutes at a fast clip from dfw but I happened to be in Denton for work. Room layout is kind of weird... I walked in and was so tired I thought the room didn't have a bed lol. to get to the bedroom you need to go through the bathroom, or around a narrow gap in the wall with the tv by the window. read more

We had a clean and spacious double queen room and enjoyed a full breakfast spread in the morning. Negatives: the water in our room took forever to get hot, so having to keep the water running (as we were advised) for what seemed like forever, was wasteful. Also, the TVs weren't equipped with Netflix options and the remotes didn't work well. Those were the only things that took away from having a flawless experience, but over all, it was a really good stay and I would recommend. read more

I have stayed at this location many times when in town for business. The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis without you needing to ask. Breakfast has always been good and I really enjoyed the cook to order options. So I've stayed at several Embassy Suites over the years and have usually been satisfied. This stay left a little to be desired. We came last December and stayed 5 days, 4 nights when visiting for my nephew's wedding. We arrived very late on a Tuesday night, and understandably, there was not a lot of staff on shift. Check in was fine, no issues there. The lobby is huge, exactly what I've come to expect from Texas. It was very nice, decorated with a huge Xmas tree, decor. Beautiful. We took many pictures there throughout our stay, including the last day with the large family we were visiting. But on our arrival night, when we got to our room late with our 3 kids, we wanted to get some sleep. The room was much smaller than I have become accustomed to when staying at an Embassy Suites. It felt cramped. We went to the pullout sofa to set the kids up. The sheets inside the sofa were just dirty. There were stains and hair on the sheets. Obviously the kids didn't want to sleep there. I wouldn't either. So we called down to the front desk and asked for new sheets, reporting the problem. The front desk staff person brought new sheets and left. We changed them ourselves. Then we realized they didn't have extra pillows anywhere so we had to call them to request pillows but were told no one was available to bring them to us. We had to go downstairs to get them. Eventually we all got in bed and went to sleep after a long day of travel. They have a fitness center, which I actually used twice. Quiet, clean, overlooking the pool and highway. Staff for the rest of the trip were great. They have a lobby bar with a great happy hour two for one special and a restaurant called Houlihans, which touts itself as a restaurant and bar with TVs. However I did have an issue with the fact that neither the lobby bar, nor the restaurant, had the Thursday night Prime Video NFL game to show the viewers that were packed in the area. Ok, I kinda get the lobby bar not having it (maybe?), but the restaurant/bar? Suspect. Oh well. We ended up ordering from the restaurant and eating on the lobby tables while watching the game on my phone. It turned out to be cool with everyone in the family hanging out in the lobby together, but I was shocked none of the TVs had the game on. Housekeeping was also hit or miss. In fact, I can't remember even having services the entire visit, which I suppose I was ok with but we had to call for them to empty the trash a couple times and request fresh towels once, which they brought and promptly left. I can't be sure but I think this is one of those hotels that say you need to request housekeeping services. Whatever. I had a great time at the wedding and overall for the visit. But I was a bit disappointed by a few things relative to the hotel and it's service. read more

I was sitting in my parked car getting some work done in a hotel parking lot, trying to stay on top of my tasks. A grey car passed by and shined a light at me, so I figured they wanted me to leave. As I was getting ready to go, the security guard walked up to my window and asked if I had a room there. I explained I was just working and apologized for any confusion, mentioning that I've parked in other hotel lots before without issues. But then, he snapped and yelled at me to leave immediately. I was shocked because I had been polite and was already preparing to leave. I felt the treatment was due to my race. When I spoke to the manager, she sounded indifferent and even hung up on me, brushing it off as just the security's behavior. It felt like they were hiding something, and I want others to be cautious about going there. read more

Everyone in line in front of us also attending a wedding rooms were not ready either. People literally having to use the lobby bathroom to get ready. Unacceptable service for this level of hotel. We needed a place between KU and Houston because we had business in Dallas the next day. Easily found and exceptionally accommodated with our requests: chiefly: extra towels. We had 3 in our 2 bedroom suite which is aptly suited for a family of 4. I requested at the front desk in person that the extra towels be delivered to the front desk for me to pick up there. They obliged in spades. A full set of towels, wash clothes and hand towels for me to pick up there as opposed to delivered to my room. Why? Our son was finishing a project for school and wanted to be undisturbed. Holden gets high marks for listening to my clear instructions and meeting our needs! We weren't able to enjoy the breakfast but I was able to check it out and it looked wonderful. I highly recommend the 2 bedroom suite if traveling with 4. We had a truck full of dorm room items exposed in our truck bed and had zero issues. Plenty of pillows and extra bedding for the pullout sofa. read more

Hotel was amazing and the rooms were very spacious. The only reason why I'm giving it a 3 star is because we had a very bad interaction with a bartender named MARLA. I repeat MARLA she was very rude to my husband and I and did not want to give us the complimentary drinks because we didn't have a room key even though we explained that we were staying in the hotel for a group of 3. The rest of the bar staff was amazing but MARLA had the ugliest attitude and made our experience at the bar horrible. Even with MARLA because the problem the other bartenders apologized on HER behalf and gave us coupons to the restaurant downstairs. How embarrassing for staff members to have to do that on someone else's behalf. Very sweet gesture. read more

My recent stay here was absolutely fantastic, including the use of a board room set up with a large variety of continental breakfast options for a mid morning break and snacks throughout the day. This is a beautiful hotel and the staff here is nothing short of amazing, very professional and attentive. This new addition to the Denton area is welcoming with all the amenities you've come to expect from a top Hilton property, with online check-in and a virtual room key on your phone using your app, there is no need to speak to the front desk upon arrival unless you want to - straight from your car to your room, now that's convenient. Being a newer hotel opened since January 2018 this ultra modern high tech property is green as well - the roof is filled with solar panels and the food waste is recycled to a compost system instead of being thrown out in a landfill and later repurposed in the properties landscaping. Everything here is fresh and clean and the accommodations are modern and extremely comfortable. If your thinking of picking a lower cost alternative consider a few things first - free made to order breakfast every morning - free unlimited drinks every afternoon these all cost money at most hotel as an example I recently paid eighty-seven dollars for breakfast for three at a hotel on the magnificent mile in Chicago and it was no where near the quality of this breakfast feast. No I don't work for Embassy but I do travel quite a bit and can recognize quality and great accommodations and excellent customer service when I see it and this place has it all. If you're traveling to the area for business or pleasure this hotel has to be considered. Phenomenal views, excellent fitness center, we used the one site laundry which was so convenient, indoor AND outdoor pool PLUS play area splash pad for the kids. New, chic yet very contemporary. The staff is really hospitable and caring. Their bartender takes the cake. She is PHENOMENAL. Breakfast was much different from the other, older embassy suites i've stayed in. They had everything that regular embassy's have but more with creamer flavors, more with the fruit quality, more with granola bars to pick up and eat later if you wanted. The popcorn at the manager's reception was pretty nice and unconventional. Check in and Check out was a breeze. Parking is ample and location is ideal. The rooms are laid out much differently than most others in the chain. This layout offers more privacy with respect to bathrooms. The bathroom mirrors have bluetooth speakers which I used happily to play music. Such a great touch! Will be back again for sure! read more

One of the more enjoyable hotel properties that I've had the privilege in staying at during a North Texas "staycation." The Embassy Suites is certainly one of those properties that I enjoyed all of the comforts of home prior to heading into the rough & ready realm of my next travel destination. First off, the property is brand new, highly modern, and has quite a bit of updates that most traditional properties within the brand don't. Gone is that huge atrium area that had the rooms facing out in a tall, courtyard-like area. Aside from the green life wall in the lobby (a nice touch), there is Starbucks adjacent to the front desk, Houlihan's on the far left, and breakfast options at the buffet that represent some of the best food variety that Hilton has to offer. The noticeable outdoor amenities include a pool and splash pad, and there is a sizable fitness center within the interior. There is an exceptional amount of parking spaces around the property, to include such that faces I-35. The room suite met expectations when it came to comfort and overall style, yet exceeded it when it came to the technology piece of things. The lighting is controlled by one panel, as well as the thermostat. My view of Denton included the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!), as well as the thousand or so small solar panels that power the property. WiFi access was very good, and I didn't encounter any issues. Considering that I stayed during a busy weekend, I found the floor that I was staying on to be amazingly quiet. Customer service at this property is very, very good. All of the attendants that I encountered were pleasant and professional, and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. In addition, there were several other restaurant options on West University Dr in the Rayzor Ranch shopping area, as well as a Winco Foods grocery store (24 hours) within walking distance. Altogether, when in between Oklahoma and the Dallas Metroplex, the Embassy Suites Hilton Convention Center is a highly advisable option in staying over either for business, or leisure. read more

I've been staying at Embassy Suites for the last 10 years, mainly because of their unbelievable breakfasts. This one took the cake though. Everything seemed like a dream. Everything to include the pool was awesome and very clean. It was saltwater and it was nice and warm, about 75 degrees, which was perfect. The gym was also very nice. Our room was super nice, especially with the smart mirror with bluetooth capability that synced with your phone. That was really nice. We also visited the theater across the street. Color me impressed. Granted this hotel is brand new, but it really does pull out all the stops for its price range. Rooms are spacious and well lit (except the bedroom, but I guess the idea is that you won't need much light to sleep) and the bathroom is heavenly. Neat technology is everywhere from the touchpad light switches to the smart refrigerator to the Bluetooth speaker built into the bathroom mirror. I didn't know how I'd lived my life without one up to this point. Biggest problem here was the parking lot - it has plenty of room, but it's pretty far from the entrance and you have to walk all the way around the lot to get over unless you want to walk through the greenery. Plus there's only a sidewalk on one side, so you end up waking in the road. Not a fan of that part. Breakfast is included, as well as a reception in the bar area in the evenings. With my work schedule though I didn't get a chance to experience either. I'll update this review should things change. It looks like this area is built to expand - the hotel is next to the convention center and they're building a lot of other things around the area. There are ballrooms and extra seating all throughout the main level, so it's a neat place to go hang out if you're looking for a change of scenery from your room. read more

My AirPods were stolen from my room. I have tried to call the hotel to ask about it on multiple occasions. I was told to report it as lost on something called chargeback.com which I did. That only generated a report. I have had to call back several times and now I am being told that they do not have a system in place for reporting stolen items. They want to treat this as a lost item but I did not lose it. It was stolen from my room. The last place it was left was on the nightstand next to my bed. It was taken from there by someone who had access to my room. Do NOT stay at this place. read more

Very recently, my husband decided to surprise me with a staycation, and booked us a night in this newer facility. I have been wanting to check it out since it opened, as this is the first higher end "luxury" hotel that Denton has. I do think that it was time for us to get one, and the spot chosen is great as there is access to everything. Checkout went semi-smooth. Because we used my hotel.com account to make a reservation, they wouldn't let my husband check in before me even though his card was on file. It wasn't a huge deal, but you would think they would let him in since he was paying lol. I was pretty much blown away by the lobby, and could see myself coming for happy hour at the Houlihans downstairs even when we are not staying with the hotel. They have a beautiful living greenery wall, and plenty of chairs and table to relax in. The rooms were impeccably clean. The whitest sheets, void of dust, and smelled great. The only thing we really noticed was that someone before us had broken a pen, and there was some ink on the desk, and a few other things. It was a great sized room, with a wet bar, dining area, living area, and bedroom. We went with the lowest priced room and it was spacious. The tv was very large and attached right in front of the bed, with the option to swivel towards the couch area. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is to be expected as this hotel is so new. The water temp in the showers stayed hot, and the towels were thick and soft. Just beware of the shower, as there is no barrier between the shower and the bath room floor. Water leaked out of the shower twice and almost flooded the bathroom. User beware. The rooms also are very up to date in all the latest technology. There is a blue tooth mirror in the bathroom to play your music, easy touch light switches, and a tablet in which you can use to turn the lights of, control the temp, or call the front desk. When we booked the hotel, it mentioned that breakfast was "made to order" and when we were in the room, the tablet also mentioned to make sure we take advantage of the free "made to order breakfast" However, the only thing they make to order is omelets. The rest of the food is served buffet style. I wasn't very upset but I can see how some people could be bothered, because they were expecting one and got the other. The buffet was still quite tasty, but there should have been more variety. Overall, this is defiantly one of the better hotels in this area of Denton. If it's a little high for your budget, the Holiday Inn Express down the street is comparable. read more

We arrived at this hotel late night after my son's b-day party. After booking 3 rooms for some 12 people, all we planned to do is have a few drinks and get some shut eye. My son and a few of his friends were in one room and started showering after his pool party when they started to unveil blood on the bedding and also in the tub. The night manager, Rita was extremely nice and offered to comp the rooms and move us into a new room. Then we found a used tampon under the bed of another room in the middle of the night. She also offered to take care of that room, as well. After her shift was over the next morning, we went to the front to check out to get the breakdown of the rooms and the morning manager made a decision to comp only one room and take half off another. When my wife checked her account, they did not keep their promise, and we did not get it in writing. The day manager was very rude and would not give her identity. I love embassy suites and always stay at embassy suites. This one is the closest one to my home, but I would never stay here again, free room or not. No price of a room is worth the safety of me or my family, and fresh unknown blood all over a room is a safety issue that should not be tolerated. read more

The hotel was awesome. You can't beat the location and the newness look of it. The HH was nice, always enjoyable. The rooms are nice and spacious. The breakfast was good. I was able to get a good workout in the fitness center. The issue I had was with towels, called down for towels and actually no one ever came.. housekeeping eventually ended up changing for us just before dinner time.. the other issue was with the digital key. It worked perfectly for the room and fitness center. It gave me issues at the pool. Otherwise, I will definitely stay at this location again when visiting Denton. read more

Trying to book a room for a weekend almost 8 months ahead of time and yet they are price gauging!!! Even after speaking to someone at front desk and being told I just had to call back at a certain hour and make reservation I was later told no. Instead of paying the $179 our group has a price rate for they are trying to price gauge to $600 (!!!!!) a night for a 1 bedroom at a hotel in Denton, TX. Sooo disappointing and disgusting. I'd give zero stars if I could for horrible customer service. read more

We stayed one Saturday night during the summer. This is a very large Embassy Suites with a huge clean, nice lobby. The room was very clean and organized without stains on the furniture. The Air Conditioner worked very well and was not overly loud. Small store was stocked well also. We did eat breakfast there which also had more options than what I have been finding in recent hotel stays at Embassy Suites. The eating area was huge and well staffed. I would stay here again no doubt. read more

I attended a large banquet dinner at this location. I explained to waitstaff that I had celiac and required a gluten free meal. Explaining that gluten is found in anything made from wheat, barley or rye. They first tried to convince me croutons were gluten free. I requested a new salad without croutons. They brought me just lettuce. When they brought a meal with gravy covering everything , I again requested gluten free. They brought me vegetarian ravioli. My friend then asked the person in charge to speak to the chef. He came and I requested just plain chicken and rice They finally complied wwith that request. For dessert, I asked for fruit. Waitress said they didn't have any and didn't even check. read more
