Very inviting lobby and entrance, another entrance in the back side also. I'd say stunning lobby in my opinion, dining area and convention area to the right of the lobby and a very inviting fireplace and seating area to the left. The facility also has a obligatory exercise area, self service laundry and even a outdoor pool area, a pretty ample parking area shared by neighborhood dining businesses. We somehow booked the handicapped room by accident, I can tell you the room needs a good airing after each occupant, the room definitely had a peculiar funk. I asked the housekeeping to deodorize and/or get a air freshener in the room because there was a unmistakable odor in the room. On the plus side the accommodations were quite comfortable especially the beds, there was one oddity in the room, the only mirror in the entire room was in the bathroom. I guess people don't look at mirrors anymore in this modern age lol. I guess dracula is real. read more

Hilton Garden Inn has its highs and lows. The lows? The blinds in my room didn't work, so I got a free sunrise alarm clock every morning. The spa looked... well, let's just say I wouldn't dip a toe in there unless I had a hazmat suit. The highs? The room itself was comfortable, and the location is great -- tons of restaurants within walking distance, which made up for the spa disappointment. Overall: solid place to sleep (if you bring a sleep mask) and a great base for exploring and eating nearby. Just don't come here expecting a relaxing spa day. read more

Or at least they do for me. The funny thing is that I'm a tough customer. I expect a certain level of execution from companies. Right, wrong or indifferent, I believe that if I'm paying for a service, that service should be right. Again, that's why I'm a Hilton loyalist. On this particular trip, I arrived about 75 minutes before check in, and they found me a room. I'd been expecting more traffic that just didn't materialize. In addition to checking me in early, they recognized me as a Diamond member and were very helpful getting me in. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to Peter, the cook--his food is always on point! Every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, and you can tell he takes pride in his creations. He even came out to chat with us and share a bit about what he prepared, which made the experience even more special. Vicky and Chris are very personable friendly and funny. My family and I, when we all lived near each other always went to their holiday buffets. They had really good pecan pie. They would always tell me they were out but if I sent my sister they gave it to her. Buffet was above par for Solano County and I always had a good meal there. read more

Not a bad stay, but some things could be better in my opinion procedure wise. I recently attended a family reunion here. I arrived early and was the first to check in. To my surprise, I was unable to check into the room without paying the full cost of my stay. Even though the cost was being split by the other two, which would arrive later in the evening. In order to check in, I had to pay for one night. The front desk was very helpful in assisting me with this issue. I'm accustomed to settling the bill upon check out or for the portion stayed, but not the entire bill for a 4 or 5 night stay. Lesson learned, ask policies before booking. I would also like to have had a complementary or reduced rate for breakfast. I don't feel the rooms were cheap at $169/a night (family reunion rate). They do have a very nice area to dine and a bar. There are also two banquet rooms. The rooms are nicely sized and were perfect for our events. The food...not so much. According to the menu, the food sounds great, but the actual taste left me wanting to order some take out. Consistency of some items were totally wrong for dishes like mashed potatoes, refried beans, etc. These items literally had to be chiseled out! The display was nice and functioned well. I'm not sure if there food had to be used as a condition for using the banquet rooms or not. I'm quite Ste the reunion chairs would have opted for something else. Overall, the stay wasn't bad, and the staff was always very helpful. I would suggest for those mobility impaired to enter through the back, as it's closer to the room hallways. Additionally, the hotel is convenient to several restaurants that are walking distance. If I could rate 3.5, that would be a bit more accurate. read more

Honestly worst hotel we've stayed in awhile. I'll start with breakfast has to be purchased separately, it does not come free with your stay. Our toilet wouldn't flush and upon taking the lid off the back saw it was rigged up with a metal twisty tie that you get off a loaf of bread. Even after messing with it, the toilet still wouldn't flush. I finally had to fill the garbage can up with water from the tub and pour it in the bowl. There was visible mold growing on the walls in our bathroom. It looked like no one had wiped down the walls in months. The shower curtain was broken and bar was hanging down to the point I had to duck to get shower. I went to open our blinds and the metal pull chain snapped and now our curtain is stuck in the down position. Beds are uncomfortable and are sunk in. Overall cleanliness of this hotel was disappointing. I will also add you can hear every little foot step, door closing, and some guy barfing through the bathroom vent We stayed here given the name and past experiences but this place is in need of some serious help. read more

We recently hosted our 50-year high school class reunion at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield, California. Everything was amazing. The staff was so easy to work with. They helped us get everything the way we needed it. The ballroom that we used has been recently updated and it was just lovely. We used the overhead projector for a slideshow. They helped us hook up some background music. The tables were all decorated nicely and the food was scrumptious. Not often is the hotel food worth talking about, but everyone raved about how delicious the food was. Kudos to the Hilton Garden Inn staff, especially Lauren, who helped us to organize everything and make it the way we wanted it. read more

Kierra checked us in and she was really sweet! We made a reservation here and I'm so glad we did. From now on when we have something to do in Fairfield this will be our go to spot to stay. We loved how conveniently located it is and how it's right in the middle of all the restaurants. You can walk right across the parking lot and everything you could think of is right there. We also loved that they had a restaurant on sight. So if you didn't wanna leave you don't have to. Only downside was they say breakfast is included but you have to pay for the continental breakfast. They only supply coffee and juice which in our opinion is better than nothing. Just be prepared when they tell you that they have breakfast in the morning. All in all we will be back soon! read more

I reviewed this property several years ago. This was the first time I have been back in at least 4 years. The location is great, with many shops, restaurants, and simple entertainment options a short walk from this location. The ONLY redeeming quality of our most recent stay (4/11 - 4/14/2025) in room 235 was the staff. They were helpful, pleasant, and understanding of my insomniac wanderings during the "witching hours". They were responsive to requests of nearly depleted room supplies (paper products, coffee, cups, etc). The bar could have stayed open a bit later, at least over the weekend, than 10 pm. What I am concerned about is the worn out state of several lobby furnishings. From worn and frayed fabrics to hard, flat cushions. From mal-functioning in room window coverings to damaged shower curtains. The mini fridge wasn't cold and had no way to be adjusted. The pool was understandably closed. The spa was open. I'm still not sure if there were operational hours for the spa as it wasn't posted and I didn't ask. I will say the spa jets were/are in need of repair. Also, there were only 2 chairs and one tiny table out there. And there was NO towel station. Additionally, overgrown landscape required guests to duck and swerve to avoid collisions. All of the above were nuisance issues. What was aggrevating was the overpriced, underwhelming breakfast offerings. Cold "hot" waffle and sausage. Underripe fresh fruit. Undercooked "Belgian" waffle. When I told the waitress there was little said and I did not try the breakfast again. I have found FAR better quality and selection at places we have stayed that had complementary breakfasts. They offer multiple choices, some rotated daily. Cook your own waffles. Pancakes or French toast, fried or scrambled, and hardboiled eggs, hot and cold cereals, bagels, muffins, breads, butter, spreads, jams, cream cheese, fresh fruit, orange juice, apple juice, milk, chocolate milk, coffees, a selection of teas, hot cocoa, cottage cheese and yogurts....these items are routinely offered by your competition. And many have cookies during the day. And, yes, I understand the costs of these complementary offerings are built in to the room rate. Food and comfort go hand in hand. And the rates were still less than your room plus breakfast rate at the last 5 places we have stayed during the last year. ...Perceived value... there are far more local options these days. My wife and I just finished a 1-night stay. We lodged there because of its proximity to the Sutter medical center on Low Court, just 3 miles away, where my wife had a procedure the next morning. Hotel was great. Lobby was beautiful, room was clean and in excellent condition, restaurant food was good, and location was next to the Solano shopping center, full of restaurants and a Barnes & Noble. This review is specifically for Ray- I believe he is service or housekeeping. He came to help me the two times that I called for service. First was that I couldn't get in my room, the hotel lobby said someone will meet me at the room. I figured it out and Ray arrived. Super nice and has a smile as I opened the door. Second, I called the front desk for toilet paper at 10:15pm, Ray knocked and hands me two toilet paper stacked on top of each other and responded you're welcome and walk away. I ran to my bag and opened the door to see him walking down the hall. I said excuse me, and asked if he can come back to tip. Ray said thank you as he was walking back. He is so friendly with a super smile. He arrived promptly upon the 2 request and it was very nice to see that kind of genuineness. Update- since they wouldn't let me check in 15 minutes early to my reservation, I was forced to check in at 2am when I came back from my wedding. I was ASSURED that I would be able to check in at this time, and sure enough at 2am, I was greeted by the WORST employee that they have. The woman at the front desk told me I couldn't check in for another hour, 3am... excuse me? I visibly got upset, rightfully so, and she told me "If you don't calm down, you will have NO place to stay tonight". Never, in my life have I been treated with such disrespect. Hilton should honestly let go of the entire staff and get a staff who actually cares about their guests, or are nice at bare minimum. Disgusted with the entire staffs behavior. read more

Hotel looks clean and new. But there was an option to check in ahead of time and choose room. When I arrived, I didn't get the room I chose and instead was given a room facing the noisy highway. So I am disappointed that I wasn't notified of the room change. Some of the guests in this hotel looked a little sketch. They were noisy outside our room so I looked through the hole in the door and could see people looking lost, confused, and loud. Then, as we tried to get ice...a large dog barked aggressively at us. The owner attempted to calm her dog down but he continued to bark at us. Slightly scary since I have my one year old with us and the large dog was so loud. Stayed 3 nights here without so much as a problem. Front desk employee was friendly and got me in and out fast - which I appreciate very much. Restaurant on site is open and has a bar. Pantry well stocked - higher prices as typical - Plenty of parking Plaza literally out the front door with shops and restaurants. More across the street too. All walking distance and wide variety as well The hotel pool is amazing for sure. Lots of shade as well and plenty of chairs to lounge around. Hot tub also onsite. Fitness room is functional and nicely done. My room was great. Lots of TV channels. Bathroom had great pressure in the shower Common areas of the hotel are clean and did not have any issues with parking - always a concern with car breaking and such. This review is primarily on the banquet service. We had celebrated our daughter's birthday here in their banquet room. All the preparation by Lissa and Dean were great. They were very helpful in setting up the party. Once the celebration started, the food service was very DISAPPOINTING. We would never have chosen plated meal the way the service was. There were no communication from the person in charge of the food service which delayed the dinner. They did NOT follow the timeline which was agreed upon. Details is below if interested. A lot of the issues would have been resolved if the service staff had communicated their decision with us. There was a timeline and if you're going to go outside the timeline, you need to communicate it with the host. Because they didn't follow the timeline as described in the service agreement, our program was delayed. We also had a few guests that were interested in the hotel banquet but they're now going elsewhere because of the bad food service. When we finished the first part of our event, I had to follow up on the odevourves. They never served the odourve. The schedule was to serve it starting at 6pm but because our event started at 6pm they said they didn't want to interrupt so they didn't serve it. I had to ask them to please serve it as our guests were hungry. I wish they had communicated that to us. Then at 6:50pm, they had not served the dinner. I asked why they haven't served them and their response was because people weren't seated. Why did they not communicate that with us? I had to ask them to go ahead and start serving them. They started the salad. About 75-80% of our guests were finished with their salad, and they still haven't served the dinner. I had to follow again, their response was everyone was not finished with their salad. Again, they should have communicated that to us. Through out the night, there were little service to refill water. My daughter and her court were thirsty and they wanted to refill their own glass but were told they can't but it took the staff 10min to refill their glass of water. At then end, we had to look for someone to cut the cake. They seemed surprised but it's in our service agreement. Also, our table was missed or were served at the very end of the list. We were the host, and we had to follow up on our own dinner. Some of the tables did not receive the sauce for the filet mignon. The filet mignon was dry. Probably because the food was delayed. We brought bottles of wine but the bartender gave too much wine per glass. It was served like they were serving a soda. Ran out quick. They also don't tell the guests that the wine is free. read more

This hotel motel was one of the most nastiest filthiest hotels I've ever stayed in. Absolutely gross and disgusting. The carpets are dirty with stains and the stink; of a 100 year old garbage lingers. It was one the worst places to stay at ever. Book at your own risk. The male night worker receptionist was very courteous and helpful. The female receptionists were unprofessional rude and had very bad attitudes and they were the least helpful in any given situation. The fengshui is off at the entrance is very awkward, it's kind of off to the side... the restaurant is right there, without a wall... Really should remodel to separate more and feature the front desk more. If you have to stay in Fairfield, you might as well stay here... There aren't any other decent options unless you want to stay at a motel 6 or equivalent... You will hear the highway. The pillows are lofty but go completely flat so you need several. Blanket is very thin and light. Fan is too cold, heater is too hot. I usually like having a loud fan on to cancel out the outside noise but there's no way to have it on consistently. Heard everything the people above me were doing. Maybe they were just louder than most, but they stayed up late, slamming doors, doing jumping jacks... It was clean, housekeeping was very friendly and helpful. read more

Rug was old and dirty and don't go bare feet as it caused my feet to itch. Bathtub old and has white strip in the bottom. Breakfast buffet is cooked to order and above average. Rating this location as an event center, I think it met and exceeded most expectations. We recently had a reception here for a celebration of life for a dear friend. The room provided was quite large with ample space for everyone to not only sit but to get up and socialize as well. They provided large screens to display videos and photos easily and provided food (sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc.) All in all the staff made us feel very comfortable, they were attentive and the location was clean and inviting. Parking was a bit tricky but I think that's mostly because of the location. There's plenty of parking in the back and easy access to the lobby and conference rooms etc. If I needed a basic space to hold an event that was clean and helpful, this would be a great option. read more
