So the thankful Hilton allowed cats! Our cat was very happy to be with us as our house was worked on.

A Perfect Valentine's Dinner at Hilton Garden Inn Fairfield Tonight, I took my beautiful wife to the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner, and as always, they did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to Peter, the cook--his food is always on point! Every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, and you can tell he takes pride in his creations. He even came out to chat with us and share a bit about what he prepared, which made the experience even more special. Vicky and Chris are very personable friendly and funny. Great people, they always add to the personal touch. If you're looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend this place. The food, the service, and the ambiance all come together for an unforgettable evening. If you stop by, be sure to tell them I sent you! Enjoy, Mike

Not a bad stay, but some things could be better in my opinion procedure wise. I recently attended a family reunion here. I arrived early and was the first to check in. To my surprise, I was unable to check into the room without paying the full cost of my stay. Even though the cost was being split by the other two, which would arrive later in the evening. In order to check in, I had to pay for one night. The front desk was very helpful in assisting me with this issue. I'm accustomed to settling the bill upon check out or for the portion stayed, but not the entire bill for a 4 or 5 night stay. Lesson learned, ask policies before booking. I would also like to have had a complementary or reduced rate for breakfast. I don't feel the rooms were cheap at $169/a night (family reunion rate). They do have a very nice area to dine and a bar. There are also two banquet rooms. The rooms are nicely sized and were perfect for our events. The food...not so much. According to the menu, the food sounds great, but the actual taste left me wanting to order some take out. Consistency of some items were totally wrong for dishes like mashed potatoes, refried beans, etc. These items literally had to be chiseled out! The display was nice and functioned well. I'm not sure if there food had to be used as a condition for using the banquet rooms or not. I'm quite Ste the reunion chairs would have opted for something else. Overall, the stay wasn't bad, and the staff was always very helpful. I would suggest for those mobility impaired to enter through the back, as it's closer to the room hallways. Additionally, the hotel is convenient to several restaurants that are walking distance. If I could rate 3.5, that would be a bit more accurate.

Amazing hotel! Very very clean and helpful employees! The room was huge! We will definitely be staying here in the future! The location is perfect for walking around! Amazing restaurants around you and even the mall across the street! 100% recommend this hotel to everyone who needs a weekend getaway or just staying in the area for a night or two. Thank you for an amazing experience!

We recently hosted our 50-year high school class reunion at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield, California. Everything was amazing. The staff was so easy to work with. They helped us get everything the way we needed it. The ballroom that we used has been recently updated and it was just lovely. We used the overhead projector for a slideshow. They helped us hook up some background music. The tables were all decorated nicely and the food was scrumptious. Not often is the hotel food worth talking about, but everyone raved about how delicious the food was. Kudos to the Hilton Garden Inn staff, especially Lauren, who helped us to organize everything and make it the way we wanted it.

Kierra checked us in and she was really sweet! We made a reservation here and I'm so glad we did. From now on when we have something to do in Fairfield this will be our go to spot to stay. We loved how conveniently located it is and how it's right in the middle of all the restaurants. You can walk right across the parking lot and everything you could think of is right there. We also loved that they had a restaurant on sight. So if you didn't wanna leave you don't have to. Only downside was they say breakfast is included but you have to pay for the continental breakfast. They only supply coffee and juice which in our opinion is better than nothing. Just be prepared when they tell you that they have breakfast in the morning. All in all we will be back soon!

More firm than I preferred but it did the job. the AC was amazing. kept it at a cool 65 all day. and they allowed me to check in at noon. The bad: the parking looked a little bare. if not for the building looking clean, it would look like a deserted parking lot. Check in took a few minutes. there wasn't a staff at the front desk. Had to wait for them. Then they tell me, the elevator closest to us is down. I need to go to the other elevator that's closer to my room and I can drive and park behind the building, its right next to my room. They must've told everyone this cause there were many cars parked on that side behind the building. I walked from the front. it wasn't a long walk since I didn't have much to carry. but the stairs was down, the elevator was down, the fitness room was closed, and they had these vacuums or fans all over the first floor. was there a water leakage? ice machine was also down. The front desk person warned us of the cost and told us to just go to Safeway. Thankful for that tip! I know this place had really BAD management in the past, not sure what the case is these days. When we arrived around 10 PM, we were informed that our reserved King room was no longer available and had been given away. We were downgraded to a Double Queen. We were never notified in advance -- and our cancellation window had expired three days prior. There was no phone call, no email, and no communication that our confirmed room type would not be honored. Had we known before the cancellation deadline, we would have made other arrangements, especially given that this was a holiday stay. At 10 PM on Valentine's Day, finding another hotel wasn't realistic, so we accepted the downgrade. Unfortunately, the experience didn't end there. Loud music began playing somewhere within the building at 7:00 AM and continued for nearly two hours until we finally got up to get dressed as sleeping in was no longer an option. We were not on a lobby floor, and the volume was significant enough to disrupt the morning. After a late holiday evening, that was not the expectation. The room itself was clean and the check-in associate was polite, but the lack of advance communication, the room downgrade, and the early morning noise significantly impacted what was meant to be a relaxing Valentine's stay. We hope management addresses these concerns appropriately.

Although we made this request well in advance, we were told upon arrival that no first-floor rooms were available and were assigned a room on the third floor near the elevator. That was a very disappointing start to our stay. We are loyal Hyatt guests as well as being Discoverist members, we have a Hyatt Credit Card, and own a Hyatt Vacation Club timeshare so we expected a better effort to accommodate our medical-related request. Unfortunately, our experience continued to decline. On our first night, the fire alarm sounded, requiring everyone to evacuate. My husband and I had to walk to the stairwell and descend three flights of stairs before making our way outside and then to the lobby. When we asked what had happened, the employee at the front desk said they had no idea. After the alarm stopped, guests were simply told to return to their rooms without any explanation or reassurance. Better communication during an emergency would have gone a long way. There have also been maintenance issues. The ice machine on our floor has been out of service for the five days we've been here, so we've had to go to another floor every evening just to get ice. I do want to recognize the breakfast staff, who have been consistently friendly, hardworking, and accommodating. They have been one of the highlights of our stay. We also encountered some staff members who were kind and knowledgeable, although others were not, making the level of service feel inconsistent. We've stayed at this Hyatt House many times over the years, and this experience has been very different from what we've come to expect. It's disappointing because we've always enjoyed staying here. Based on this visit, we're not sure we'll return unless we see improvements in guest service, communication, and maintenance.

There aren't many hotel options and no higher-end ones. This Comfort Inn mistakenly is identified as a 3-star option on many online booking sites. It most definitely is not. Some of the highlights: * Worst shower ever - basically we didn't have a working shower. Ours was clearly busted but by the time we found out, we only had a short time to get ready. We could not adjust the water temp, so we would be hit with sudden blasts of freezing cold water. The only option was to stop the water, soap up and hope you would have enough warm water to rinse off. * The place was noisy. Both in our room (ancient AC unit) and outside, where the lack of soundproofing is painfully obvious as you hear all the comings and goings throughout the night (and there are many!). * Threadbare bedding and holes in curtains. This room is strictly no frills. But there is a minifridge and a microwave in the room. * Breakfast not great - watery coffee, old/stale muffins, along with the standard make-your-own waffles and wet eggs. But it IS free. So there is that. It wasn't TERRIBLE for one night, except for the awful shower experience. I only paid $76 on Priceline, but the hotel does charge a $150 - $200 deposit to your credit card when you arrive. And to give you an idea of what is going on in the hotel, a large sign at the front desk proclaims something like: "If there is a Do Not Disturb sign on your room for 4 days, we're coming in" - I'm paraphrasing of course. But it definitely seems like people may be living there and maybe not doing wholesome things on property. I have another business trip to Fairfield coming up and I won't consider this hotel again.
